hey um it continually rolls left ever so slightly and never stays still and accelerates to the left
Mr. Z Sep 22 @ 12:16pm
jesus this is sick, ive been dreading making my first heli but wow, just threw together a quick turd and it FLIES with this controller, awesome
MeandMysecondME May 27 @ 9:19am
how u turn on a maus aiming??
Wolves Hero Jan 17 @ 1:53pm
This is Coaxial. Need make one for tail rotor because can't find on workshop only few tail rotor microcontroller
Ozruul Nov 6, 2024 @ 6:52pm
why is the autopilot not go exactly where the waypoint is? and why does it not hold it's position very well
Gibson Oct 27, 2024 @ 7:13am
Make tiltrotor version pleeease 🥺
D3 Oct 8, 2024 @ 11:33am
@Ozruul that happens with very light helis. Try adding more weight or use trim controls
Ozruul Oct 4, 2024 @ 9:49am
help, it rolls left to right very slowly
Gibson Sep 29, 2024 @ 3:11pm
Yeah I'm also having problems with the AP. (Yeah I know that post is 2½ months old)
XombyeGamer Jul 16, 2024 @ 3:08pm
Hi, The thing works great, but when activated (The autopilot) it goes to a very different direction
i´ve checked the gps coords, the keypad and the conexions but nothing
Desired May 12, 2024 @ 3:57pm
Please make a non-coaxial flight controller pls pls pls pls pls

What value do I change to decrease the autopilot destination zone radius?
THORT Feb 17, 2024 @ 1:40am
I have the same problem as thatcoolcat with the autopilot, except it happens in normal flight. The RPS drops by about 2 points and the helicopter starts to lose altitude because of it.
The second problem I have is if I try to set some higher RPMs (ie 11 or higher for a small engine) the engine runs fine at first but after a short time it drops out and falls to about 4 RPS before it starts up again. Any ideas what to do about it?
YummyCookieYT Nov 23, 2023 @ 9:30am
@Canopus

Either you have too much RPS or too little RPS. Mess around with your gearboxes a bit.

How to disable yaw on roll it feels awful
Allemannen Jul 4, 2023 @ 4:54am
The setup mentions "Angular speed sensor should not be mirrored". I don't see any connection node on the controller for Angular speed sensor. I'm a beginner on Stormworks

Simply genius, thanks man!

Can you implement the ability to use a forward thrust system so it doesn't pitch upward when you try to?
Céléstin Dragases Palaiologos Nov 10, 2022 @ 8:56am
Hey guys and good say, so, my collective just doesn't changes and stays at the maximum so my heli kinda just hits the roof of the hangar when i turn the engine on, is there any solution to this please?
Eira Fader Feb 27, 2022 @ 8:12pm
How could i add a pusher fan to this?
thatcoolcat1 Feb 9, 2022 @ 5:20pm
i have two issues with this

1. autopilot cannot maintain altitude when navigating to a different waypoint, seems like its pitching over too far.
2. my pitch seems to just go back and forth and kind of oscillate but really slowly.

any suggestions?
UrbanMech Dec 4, 2021 @ 6:40am
Works well with my helicopter but i have two side rudders (my heli has a H tail) how i can implement them for yaw?
Speyguy Nov 23, 2021 @ 8:46am
Overall this is working well for me, but the autopilot doesn't seem to function properly in winds over 10%, it flies for a couple seconds then levels out. I'm not sure if this is a limit of the controller or if I set something up wrong, so any help is appreciated.
Canopus Nov 18, 2021 @ 11:42pm
Rear of heli seems to keep bouncing up and down, other stuff works good, cant seem to figure out why the bouncing is happening and its pretty annoying
john. Oct 9, 2021 @ 12:45am
Sometimes it does a full flip?
Heracles421 Oct 3, 2021 @ 11:54am
Alright, thanks
Uran_Wind  [author] Oct 3, 2021 @ 9:38am
Not really, since there is not so advanced autopilot that maintains the pitch angle rather than actual speed, so sometimes it cant decelerate in time and may miss the destination area. In that case, Increase the autopilot deceleration slider in mc properties.
Heracles421 Oct 3, 2021 @ 7:55am
Hey Uran, is there a way to make the autopilot destination zone a bit smaller?
Herze Jul 19, 2021 @ 9:21am
this would be absolutely perfect if it handled the rotor clutch as well
Uran_Wind  [author] Jun 16, 2021 @ 12:15pm
m, something wrong?
trucksarenoisy Jun 16, 2021 @ 11:39am
And as always, now it works trash
trucksarenoisy Jun 16, 2021 @ 10:03am
Works brilliantly. Thank you for uploading this!!!
Uran_Wind  [author] Apr 25, 2021 @ 12:23am
Check the compass orientation, GPS sensor electrical connectivity, and proper linking of the nodes for the GPS sensor and autopilot destination coordinates.
ST Golv & Company Apr 24, 2021 @ 11:55pm
my heli,s autopilot goes in the wrong direction
Uran_Wind  [author] Apr 23, 2021 @ 2:37am
Adjust the pitch trim slider in the controller's properties or displace the helicopter's center of mass forward.
LeoCraft20 Apr 23, 2021 @ 2:06am
my heli jost tilt backwards if i not manually press W for forward
Uran_Wind  [author] Apr 22, 2021 @ 6:34am
Check the orientation of tilt sensors.
ST Golv & Company Apr 22, 2021 @ 6:31am
My heli just flips when i try to take off
Uran_Wind  [author] Mar 24, 2021 @ 7:20pm
Composite channel for engine also enables the stabilization and rotor input. So, if you are not using the engine part, set boolean true on the engine composite channel or edit the controller and replace the composite read gate for engine with constant on signal.
nerobonanox Mar 24, 2021 @ 5:16pm
Loving your controllers, have a heavy lifting diesel heli and would love to get this working in it, the smaller Coaxial controller you have works perfectly, but this one has autopilot... Unfortunately, despite everything being connected (i´ve triple checked), the inputs don´t seem to work, with the heli stationary i cant see any blade movement when i press the keys (have tried both wsad and arrows), any ideas?
Uran_Wind  [author] Mar 9, 2021 @ 7:41pm
Hello, not until their tilting phantom forces will be fixed. I have already tried to make one, but it was not versatile because that forces had a wide range and heavily depended on the rotors thrust.
THORT Mar 9, 2021 @ 1:37pm
Hi man, firstly I wanted to thank you for fantastic job! And I have one question. Do you plan do something like that for helicopters with normal tail rotor?
Uran_Wind  [author] Mar 5, 2021 @ 11:44pm
Fixed that position hold bug in the last version.
baygamesngoh Mar 5, 2021 @ 6:53am
So I just installed this on a skycrane class coaxial, and for some reason when I left go of the controls, after a few seconds the heli would just roll right to about 45 degrees, and just hold it there. Any idea what might be causing that and how I could fix it?

Thanks!
TheCiscoKid Feb 28, 2021 @ 1:02pm
Uran_Wind, yes seat sensitivity has a large affect on the control. I may dig into the controller and put in a toggle which changes to a fractional input when 'sensitive' maneuvering is needed; although turning it down a bit in the seat does seem to help. Maybe I just need to find the sweet spot. It still seems like it's dying when trying to change altitude under heavy load; when changing from 100 to 200 feet with a container attached to the heli, it gets to about 175 and then starts to fall with no recovery. Any suggestions? Tx, Jason
Bearfight Feb 26, 2021 @ 10:06pm
Another fantastic gyro, thanks!
TheCiscoKid Feb 18, 2021 @ 4:51am
Thanks. Will retest and see about the seat axis.
Uran_Wind  [author] Feb 17, 2021 @ 6:05pm
@jleach fixed the issue with PID resetting.
Uran_Wind  [author] Feb 17, 2021 @ 6:12am
About the sensitivity of controls, did you try to adjust the sensitivity of the respective seat axis? And for the altitude hold, probably the helicopter was too heavy and cant climb with its maximum rate, so PID is resetting after a certain time to prevent its winding up.
TheCiscoKid Feb 16, 2021 @ 10:13am
NVM. Figured it out just playing with it. Interesting creation. Found sensitive control is lacking - i.e. when trying to maneuver a helicopter into place to pickup a container. Also, if you do get a container connected to a heli, engine control seems to die when trying to increase altitude hold in flight, keeps decreasing to the point of altitude failure. Any suggestions? Engine PID setting change?
