Hmm, curious. The conversation results in a CTD, but if I use the Console Command (same character, same time), there I am watching the intro video for Wyrmstooth.
So now I need to take another character there and see what happens.
I'll be back with a report
Thanks again!!!
Here's a video demonstrating of the sequence as it's supposed to play out: https://youtu.be/t8e3Hjo2YeI?t=1069
@ada_the_invada: What mods do you have installed that affect Solitude Docks? Sounds like something in your load order has deleted XMarker 0004C488 in Tamriel cell -17,22. Are you able to return by running 'coc SolitudeDocks01'.
Any insights?
@ivory.002: Yes, but it's part of a secret unmarked quest. Go to the dockmaster's house at Wyrmstooth Docks and read the journal, then follow the clues.
@Linky: You can start this mid-playthrough. But if you need to remove it you'll need to load a save you made before installing it.
@whoman69: Which elevator did you use to return to Dimfrost? The one that leads down to the dragon's den or the one that leads down into the open world portion of Dimfrost? Could you explain how exactly you're stuck? If the door to the flooded chamber is closed, turn around, use the elevator to return to the surface, then go to the elevator that leads down into the dragon's den if you need to get to the other side.
What do you mean by 'the game glitches' when you fight a marauder? Is there a problem with the animation or the physics?
You did an excellent job on the quests and island.
Good mod still
If you run 'getstage wtbarrowofthewyrm' and it returns '10', then this should work.
The only other work around is to click on Lurius with the console open to get his ref ID, travel to the deck of the Red Wave at Solitude docks and run 'moveto player'. If that doesn't work, then what ever mod you have that's changing Solitude docks will need to be unloaded until this part of the quest has been passed.
Slept on the rented bed for 12 hours, Lurius still in Whiterun. Slept other 12, same thing. By that point I guess it must have been AI Overhaul 1.6.6., the only mod that could affect NPC routines (I don't use any city overhauls/expanders), so I scrapped the LO.
For what it's worth what I have seen so far is wonderful. Voice acting is great, the mystery is compelling... hope I can set foot on Wyrmstooth one day!
Wyrmstooth 1.19.5 has a workaround; if you sleep in a bed at this stage of the quest Lurius should be teleported to the Red Wave if he can't get there normally.
Other players have reported this issue and the cause turned out to be the Clear Skies shout that Vulthurkrah does at the end of that scene. In base Skyrim, Clear Skies is not a hostile shout, but shout overhauls may make getting hit by Clear Skies a hostile action. On a base Skyrim + Unofficial Patch + Wyrmstooth build, this scene completes as expected and no fight breaks out.
I'll try and add Vulthurkrah to the mercenaries faction in the next update to try and prevent combat breaking out from 'friendly fire'. In the mean time, you can use 'setstage wtdragonhunt 120' to skip past this point.
