Yep, it still works mostly perfect. For whatever reason local organizations(holy order/assign pasha/hire janissaries) options in state tab are not working. So yeah, might as well dissable Golden Century dlc or ignore the missing functionality. 🤞 For an update

@Angel what a boatload of cope. Europe was the richest continent per capita already in the 1500s, long before they got to "pillage" other continents. There is research on this.

The only decently realistic non-Eurocentric mod that could be created is one where China does not become so isolationist, discovers North America, and becomes a hegemon to rival European powers

Can someone please make a mod that isn't so European centric, I'd like to see more variation in my game. Europe was more blood thirsty in addition to some lucky incidents, but they weren't always more technologically advanced. I mean Indians invented ROCKETS and were raining them on the invading British who had never seen rockets before!
I tried making my own personal mod for institutions, but it kept crashing and I eventually gave up.

a historical though? China and India were actually well ahead of Europe until the industrial revolution in the 1800s, which barely gets touched in this game.

Institution penalties are part of the technology definitions in adm, dip and mil in the technolgies folder. There is probably a modding guide out there that can help you get started on changing those.

I think both of your issues are probably in the technology files. If you merge the files from both mods so that the techs have the institution penalties defined by this mod and the buildings/mechanics defined by the others, it should work.
Even so, the manufactories and enlightenment institutions are going to have issues, because internally manufactories is checking trade goods and enlightenment counts idea groups by name.

Hey, It seems that this mod is having a conflict with trade goods expanded mod where it doesn't allow you to build the road networks building and also the Latent goods buildings. Is there a way around this as I do enjoy having this mod active in my recent campaigns.

Hi, really like what you've got here. Unfortunately, it does seem to conflict with Idea Variation due to the changes to the tech files (and maybe some other things I haven't discovered yet either). Causes frequent CTDs, so that's less than ideal.

Gonna give a go of merging the two somehow to make them work anyway (only for personal use though). Wish me luck?

There are a few conflicts with those mods, mostly due to technologies and buildings. So there are probably a few triggers not working as intended. Though I am not sure where the graphics error is coming from. The call to event pictures should be independent from any other mod.

@cabo.nobby, do a web search for the Paradoxos Mod Manager Rework and the manager will show you if any of your installed mods have conflicts. Its is a little outdated but still good for finding conflicts. Use Europa Universalis IV 1.24. It will take some effort on your part to learn how to use it but it is simple to use and the creator has created a Documentation file that will help you get started.

That's a weird bug, because the artwork is actually being displayed correctly. I can't replicate it either. Are you running any other mods? Maybe there is a weird interaction.

Small update for 1.33.
@KaiserWilhelmII This mod is normally compatible with any mod that doesn't change technologies or institutions. Victorum universalis changes everything, so it's not compatible

would it be at all possible to make a compatibility patch for idea variation light? The issue is mostly with tech conflicts, as Idea variation modifies some techs and that overwrites the institution requirements for admin techs.

I have updated the mod to patch 1.32.0
The institution spawns are unchanged, but the penalties are now tech-dependent.
There will probably be a balance update in the future.

Doesn't work with BT because once you start the game all the new institution popups are spammed and that makes it unplayable

Currently not, I have no experience with Beyond Typus. If I would hazard a guess, the mods are probably compatible, but the enhanced institutions would be badly balanced and I have no idea what values would be sensible.

While I am not an expert on the CK3 to EU4 converter, it seems that the compatibility issue exists because the converter mod and Enhanced Institutions try to replace the same files. You can resolve this by manually deleting the offending files from your converter mod. Please backup your converter mod files before you try this . Try deleting the following two files:
.../converter_mod/common/ages/00_default.txt
.../converter_mod/common/institutions/00_Core.txt
Those are all the conflicts I could find. I hope it helps :)

So looks like this doesn't work with converted saves from ck3 because none of the institutions are even shown on the list. Any possible work around?

That institution only spawns in 1780 though, so I think it's fine. Republics might as well get infinite re-elections since that's the time period that they're supposed to shine, with the French Revolution and all.
