I did the modelling and never even saw Merczy's set until after he uploaded it, which mind you was after we were already done.

So if you think his set is better, good for you, but I assure you, the stories of it being a rip off are completely false.
Just another case of two people getting the same idea at the same time.

Merczy's set was way better with more effort.

I've heard stories that you ripped his off after seeing his progress in emporium and posted it up here before he perfected his, and it shows. This is the worst item I've seen you make to date.

Pyro should be able to use half-zatoichi... make it so... Or a Japanese-themed fire axe replacement.

Guys, the sword is the katana that's already in-game, the Half-Zatoichi, they just put it in the screenshot for decorative reasons.

I like the clothes, not the sword. Hopefully it's there just for cosmetic pruposes. Demoman is the sword guy, and I don't think swords fit Pyro very well. Like I said, though, the clothes are cool.

Love both of these items, would be cool if you change the sword to another asian themed weapon with a long handle like TheDuck73 said, I would suggest a weapon like the naginata (google images to see what I mean) :)

The Demoman has 4 Samurai-themed items available to him already. So does the Soldier.

Only problem: the pyro typically uses a melee weapon with a long handle and a severely damaging head (i.e. an axe, a rake, a mailbox); in order for this design to work, the pyro will need a weapon like a sword (like the picture). Might a similar design work for the demoman who already has that weapon type?

I think a naginata or some other polearm would compliment these really well. Maybe with a broken handle so it's not too long.
