Very good, i was thinking about making a heat exchanger you could just connect to the cooling tower chain. This is a bit more realistic.

Many nuclear plants however, did not have cooling towers. They used a river, like ignalina.
So maybe that would be something.

@Vikom: Yes, Bohunice A-1 was a very unique design of it's kind, four similar designs where ever built worldwide. The plant suffered serious technical promblems since it has some very special operation behaviours. The second big accident was at the end a partial meltdown and the fuel caught some fire at the bottom, destroying the heavy water moderator tank and damaged the gas ciruit uneconomical for repair - also the VVER.440 plant where already under construction.

I have some cutaways of the plant, but only one has some measurements. There is still much missing documentation about this plant, that is public available. I already proposed to model it, but this is a similar difficult project like the BN reactor series.

This reminded me the reactor KS-150 from Jaslovské Bohunice, Slovakia. According to Wikipedia it was under construction between 1958 and 1972, it's one of its kind and two accidents happenned to it...
You seem to have a good access to various resources(?) Do you have anything more about this one? Maybe I'd tried to make it but I have between very little and no visual references about the building itself.

@Vikom: From the timescale and available mods, there are currently no models fitting in this timescale except Obninsk. The first plants at this time where the early VVER-models like the VVER-210 and VVER-365 at Novovoronezh and the VVER-70 at Rheinsberg (GDR), also some channel reactors like the Beloyarsk unit-1 and 2 AMB-100 and AMB-200 reactors. The first VVER-440 plants has gone online in the early 1970's.

So in my mind, there is still room for additional nuclear power plant projects to fit into the timescale, but to create these mods, there is still some time needed. The problem with the VVER-440 reactors is, that there is not only one model, but there is a bunch of it since nearly every country, using this type of model, make their own optimized version.

@VIkom: Planning and preparing sites for those type of nuclear heat- and power plants was started in the early 1980's. This should be the right timeline for these type of plants.In fact none of these plants where ever built, despite the wide planning of such plants for heating and energy purposes.

But anyway beside these big cominbed plants, also the nuclear power plants without optimization for heating purposes produced so0me amount of district heating, but not in this scale. I already thinking to mod a workaround for the ingame nuclear power plants, but currently I don't have a good solution.

Since what year can I build it? You know, VVER 1000 in 1960 sounds weird.
