im not sure if the problem from this mod, but when i tried to use the tab and force the bot to charge, for some reason the bot lose its station, and becoz im using better log mod the red ping keep happening non stop through out the game, even after i uninstall the station or destroy the bot, its unreal let me tell u...

Hi I saw someone mention this in the comments but I was still a bit confused do I need this if I have biotech. Like will the mechanoids I control from the vanilla expanded mechanoids just show up in the biotech mechanoid tab. Thanks

VE drones are slow but clean and limited to number of mech components you get. Mechanoid DLC ones are faster, can be upgraded via controller to work/move even faster, are draftable with many having weapons, but cause pollution and you can only build as many as you can support bandwidth.

As a temporary solution, made a mod that disables all buildable drones from the VE mod.

@CristiCDX, Exactly, and now the drones from the mod duplicate the functionality from the dlc, albeit with caveats. I hope Oscar comes up with something.

well compatibility checks only took 1h 30m and now it almost 2 am :)

now i got a drones tab and a mechs tab
which before i didn't have neither
soo im guessing this mod adds the drones tab and biotech adds the mechs tab
if that is so i now understand why you said that you do not see the point of it now

Why would it not be needed? The drones from VFE - Mechanoids still don't have a tab to keep track of them all. They aren't listed on the mechanoids tab added by Biotech.

I could see there still being a demand for this mod for anyone who either can't buy the Biotech DLC yet or simply don't want it.

I have added a pull request to the github repo which allows to force individual drones or all drones to recharge. This can be used to send all drones to safety during raids. The PR can be found here: https://github.com/iseos/VFE-Mechanoid-Tab/pull/2

i love trying to find my riot mech thats hidden behind a cooling tower for 2 hours when a raid that i can't normally handle is here (body blocking needed)

@Seos I'll take a look at the github, but can't promise much. I tried using save areas but on my very old base (500+ days) I had two killbox bot crews to handle crimating / hauling bodies and another set of hauling bots for the rest of the base. Changing the areas was as time consuming as the forced recharge method.

Usually I want all hauling and cleaning bots return to their charging station when a raid happens. It sucks to click on every single charging station to send them back and when the raid is defeated do it all over again. I'd rather have it in the tab to just quickly klick there

A column that shows their charge levels, as well as a button to force recharge like Sauergesicht suggested, would be great additions.

In my mods folder this doesn't show as 1.3 compatible. i believe you need the following line in the about.xml file

<supportedVersions>
<li>1.3</li>
