Hey GConscript, that's completely fine! Take all the time you need. I'm just pushing this method for those people who really want it. If it's not too taxing for you would you mind publishing this guide or some other? It could really use some word of mouth.

combining this with the occult zombies mod gets you the perfect eldritch horror apocolypse

There's also the problem that I don't even know what the new file structure it wants is for b42 and I haven't been interested in figuring it out atp

I'll get around to updating these when I personally want to play the game again - but knowing TIS how long that will take is anyone's guess

I have a D:Drive myself so my file locations are a bit different. Yours should align better with the file locations in this mod's method https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2866460287&searchtext=cursor

@pheevos17, I do understand where the mod creator is coming from, there is a whole hassle in porting mods from B41 to B42.
But since this is a texture mod, you can simply subscribe to this mod, go to steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2347209800\mods\bitersreskinmod\media\textures\Body
then copy the textures over and paste them in
steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\textures\Body.

it works for build 41 - i have little interest in build 42 at present without any multiplayer capability or stability
Drogon Malice Feb 5 @ 1:27am
so, is this mod currently not working? i was really hoping to use it!
Goblin Conscript  [author] Dec 22, 2024 @ 11:44am
I'd like to update all my mods for 42 but I don't even know why they aren't working, what would be needed to fix them, and I personally have little interest in what 42 is offering right now as a player, so I don't have an ETA
pheevos17 Dec 22, 2024 @ 9:08am
I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love this mod, will'ya update it to B42? Just wanted to know.

Is there any way to remove beards on zombies besides the linked mod, that is not working? Really cool mod btw

No. Zombie texture mods override the same files.
aBronyPlays Jul 3, 2023 @ 1:56am
Could you use this texture mod with other zombie texture mods? Specifically the 'scary, scary, scary zombies' mod?

Reminds me of the nova crawlers from bo1

That's horrible! However, it can greatly enhance my desire for survival. I like this MOD very much!:steamhappy:
FireSharter Jul 22, 2022 @ 6:22am
this looks like a zombie you would see in silent hill! :D
Goblin Conscript  [author] May 26, 2022 @ 4:46pm
Yes. Just a texture mod - it should utilise the unused texture you'd normally not see for the Nemesis. Not sure for Banshee, as I've never seen one.
Caduceus_Clayy May 26, 2022 @ 3:35pm
Does this work with turning time?

i want the no hair virus free plz
rat.bmp Jan 23, 2022 @ 11:23pm
Bros, you can find the remove zombie hair mod on this fairly sketchy .ru website called "Skymods" or "catalogue dot smods dot ru" in the Zomboid category. I found it listed under the name "Remove Zombie Hair", and I was able to get it working presumably virus free. I'd link it myself but i'm not sure if steam would take kind to it. :deadrat:
Goblin Conscript  [author] Jan 3, 2022 @ 10:07am
It was deleted by its original creator. I have no idea where it went, nor do I have the coding know-how to make it myself.
Trappist Jan 3, 2022 @ 7:22am
Everyone keep's mentioning a "no hair mod" but I cannot find it anywhere.
Sabatoc Dec 23, 2021 @ 10:12am
Awesome! Thanks for such a quick response to a request. Most appreciated. :)
Sabatoc Dec 23, 2021 @ 9:58am
No worries, my man. I love strange phenomenons :D

Walking around as a supernatural survivor could be a neat horror twist to the apocalypse.:Darkwolf:
Goblin Conscript  [author] Dec 23, 2021 @ 9:51am
I could make a survivor version really quickly but it'd be rather strange, lol
Sabatoc Dec 23, 2021 @ 9:46am
Y'know, this is pretty cool!

Kinda wonder if we could have this reskin available for Survivor characters too.
Fuyuno Aug 9, 2021 @ 11:04pm
this would be such a friggin cool concept if it was a special zombie type - is it? or does it replace the base zombie skins? i imagine scripting knowledge would be necessary for that

I kind of wanna be bitten in the groin now
Goblin Conscript  [author] May 28, 2021 @ 2:33pm
I would also recommend that mod in combination with this! Unfortunately I wasn't sure how to do that myself but it would make the perfect match for this mod considering the aesthetic I was trying to go for :)
Brundi May 28, 2021 @ 1:52pm
Just to inform you guys, this mod work fine with no hair mod recently added, so its much more immersive now, try it out.
Goblin Conscript  [author] May 5, 2021 @ 6:15am
I have not tried it, but to take a guess I imagine it would not support higher resolution textures unless you coded some type of way for it to accept the texture without distorting it or bugs - a mod called "Spongie's Classic Textures" has actually managed to do this with lower resolution textures, perhaps ask there?

МАНСУР СТРЕЛА May 5, 2021 @ 4:34am
hi, I have a question about the mod. will the game support zombie texture resolutions over 256x256? have you tried it?

It's still working for me, sorry, I got no idea.
Goblin Conscript  [author] Apr 12, 2021 @ 8:08am
Head to your steam workshop directory and check out the folders 108600/2347209800/ - that should be the mod folder. The biter textures should be in bitersreskinmod/media/textures/Body/.

If they're in there - then unfortunately I have no idea what the problem is. I'll check myself to make sure this still works on my end.
YourRoyalThiccness Apr 12, 2021 @ 7:44am
I'm having an issue, whenever I enable the mod it doesn't seem to work, like the zombies still look like they normally do. I've disabled other mods and started new game with just this one enabled and nothing changes. Am I doing something wrong?
Goblin Conscript  [author] Jan 20, 2021 @ 4:14pm
I'll take a look some time.

It's a comic franchise not for the faint hearted about a condition that compels people to act upon their worst urges, they're zombies but not really. i don't recommend you to read it if you can't stomach heavily graphic imagery
