Unrestricted Customization Redux kinda lets you do that. There's also a whole bunch of TLP cosmetic armor mods.

@Iridar... This is such an awesome mod. Now I can use the TLP weapons in LWOTC. Is there a similar mod where I can change the skin of Armors so that I can use the TLP armors aswell. Thanks

I love this mod. Now I can make any weapon I want look like any weapon I want, without having to mess with .ini files or throw the balance out of whack. This will be an essential mod for all my future playthroughs. Two thumbs way up!

idk what's going on, but when I try to reskin weapons, all it does is make the grip and stock disappear, without changing the appearance of the weaponry at all.

The Dollhouse fix from 1.4 works for me. When you click the "Customize" option while looking at a soldier in the armory Dollhouse brings up an extra menu on the right side of the screen with various options specific to Dollhouse, one of which is "Use Weapon Customization". Click the box to turn it off and bam - xskin works (again, for me at least)

For the people struggling with the Dollhouse Incompatibility, Dollhouse had this to add to their 1.4 update notes = "XSkin is now compatible. Make sure to disable the `Use Weapon Customization` Option for it to work."

Not sure if it'll work yet, havent tested myself.

Update: only seems to happen on a primary shadowkeeper, not when using a "normal" shadowkeeper.

Hope anyone knows if there is a way to "fix" this issue I am having
One of the Pistols I use as a skin is a fully automatic pistol. The animation gets played normally when I skin the normal Pistol or the traditional handgun so it loads the animation for the weapon instead of the normal one but when I use the shadowkeeper it just does a single shot with it.
is there any small tweaking one can do for the mod or do I just have to live with the fact that characters I want to use the automatic pistol cannot use the shadowkeeper?

So, I had the issue for weapon skins duplicating/overwriting after upgrading a tier. After spending time deactivating mods I thought would affect weapons, I found that after deactivating Grimy's Loot Box and Mod Everything, I didn't have the issue anymore.

Not sure if there's any other mod that causes the issue (I kept removable upgrades and interchangeable upgrades enabled during the testing). I';m going to play and get the upgrades naturally and see if I have the issue again with Grimy's Loot Box and Mod Everything disabled. For the testing, I used console at the start to give mag tech and then bought them in engineering. So just want to cover my bases. I hope this helps anyone that has the issue!

After subscribing to [WOTC] 40k Agripinaa Autogun&Bolt, this mod becomes invalid and the weapon model will not change. Even if [WOTC] 40k Agripinaa Autogun&Bolt is uninstalled, there is nothing we can do. What should we do, big shot :steamsad:

Is it possible to make the weapon also use reskin one's animation? I'm using XSkin with your WSR Shotgun animation mod, despite I can reskin any shotgun to other shogun skin, but the animations I set in config apparently didn't get copy to it

Every time I skin a weapon, it becomes a separate weapon that you equip. That ends up cluttering my inventory with a bunch of skinned weapons. Is there a way to just set a character's weapon to that skin rather than skinning an individual weapon?

Unrestricted Customization / Project Dollhouse is as close as it gets. You can technically do something like this with Appearance Manager too, but it's not its intended use.

doesn't seem to work with (true) primary secondaries, I have K's officer and your akimbo classes installed, while the later's secondary pistol can be changed and reskinned - both primary pistol slots can only be occupied by default vanilla pistols and cannot be reskinned into other kind of gun; and if I disable filters the only available skin options are grenades or rocket launchers for some reason.
Any idea how this might be fixed?

AML detects only a couple of conflicts. Most likely you're using the "reduced beam FX" or whatever it's called.

At beam tier most weapons changes skin successfully but the audiovisual effect of shooting is still showing that of beam, and not custom weapon. Any workaround?

Case in point, I was thinking that a Templar, with his wirstblades reskinned as brass knuckles from the unarmed weapons mod (with the option to mix punches and kicks) and the autopistol reskinned as stun strike could make a nice Ryu from Street Fighter to add to the roster.

I guess, but that would modify all characters of the class in general. Maybe I would want just one to have it. The thing is that I have turned my XCOM2 into a sort of "Super Smash Bros" kind of thing. My character pool is full of famous characters with a specific appearance, class, and reskinned items to match in a minimally invasive way.

At that point you could just remove cooldown from Soulfire and nerf the damage somewhat.

Would be cool to be able to use ability animations for basic attacks. Psi operatives using stun strike visuals for the primary attack instead of conventional rifles would be cool. Full sorcerer mode.

The magnetic support cannon doesn't seem to work with this mod. the textures change when you reskin it but the model stays the same.
