@RLSL-Rock looks fantastic man!! any plan to make this a vehicle instead of a static weapon so it can be towed? I guess it would need some transformer stuff to transfer from wheels to stilts but if its possible and you've got the tim, would be pretty cool :) good luck

I've not had time to get the full changes in but ive been asked to add sling loading in.

New build with all the fixes will be a couple of weeks time permitting.

@Play3r. Its part of the new upgrade. I'm trying to get it out asap but having some PC issues.

@bigant2 Its not easy to do. Its not supported in the core game engine at this time without significant scripting. And even then it most likely would be limited to only specific weapons. So im not sure its really worth the effort right now.

But i ave discussed the idea with several other people and we think we might have a way to do it. It just won't be anytime soon. We are all pretty busy in real life.

Any chance you can get a destroyed texture to your mod, that would be nice touch to when the Rapier get destroyed you can see it and just not only have a fire burn.

Really nice mod very happy with it. a vital addition to my FOB would be possible to get it to be able to target other missiles iron dome style. would be pretty epic to be briefing the lads then the alarm goes off and there is a mad dash to get into cover as interceptors get launched and manage to stop the scud before it lands on the base starting a quick mission to go and find the launchers.

I have suggestion for the SAM. The 3D model is perfect and i love it! But the Interface is vanilla and i think a "modded" interface can be very cool!

the Starstreak HVM on the workshop is just the handheld launcher - which is fine, im just hoping for something like that on the Alvis Stormer
A Tracked Rapier is also on my wish list

The damage texture issue is in the description above. ;)

As for firing through intervening objects. Thats default AI behaviour. Sadly not much i can do about it.

well in testing against modded aircraft but with a combination of ai and player controlled the only issue ive found may be an arma ai issue rather then a mod issue. when the launcher has some objects between it and the target it can fire at times when it would not be able to hit its target due to said intervening object. barring that it seems to locate and target enemies fine and its showing up in various aircrafts attack radars fine. only other issue ive found if it lacks a destroyed texture itjust blows up and catches fire.

Just tried it with Firewills Jammer. The jammer is massively over powered since it jamms every single missile. 24 shots. 24 jams. Thats not a good addon as it breaks balance badly.

And yes to some degree you can out fly the missiles using terrain and crafty use of flares.

We test with Vanilla. We cant be responsible for how other "fudge" their systems. If they've been designed properly they should work just the same as the BIS system.

As for Firewill's Flares. To the best of our knowledge he uses the BIS flare system and his ECM system is the frig we all used to use for ECM in OFP/Arma1 era so all that does is create random targets. So it should work just as well any any other system.

Have you done any testing on how they go against countermeasures/ECMs from mods like Firewill’s planes? Can you defeat the missiles with smart manoeuvres?
