Are the primers on? If you have the game options set correctly and follow the startup procedure it should work unless an update broke it somehow.

@banksdrb Are you running it with infinite electric and infinite fuel turned on as well as engine overheating turned off?

where is the engine room?

Currently working on bringing improvements made to the troop ship version to the regular Normandie as well as some changes to interior layouts to be more accurate. Once that is complete work can really get going on making a United States Lines version in addition to a couple others I've got in mind. Also will be working on a version truer to full scale in the future. I would love to build the SS United States and might in the future. Building these ships takes a very long time, however, and it seems like the work is never really done! I'm always learning new tricks and techniques in building and finding things to improve.

I have subscribed to every ship you have and I was wondering if you could make the SS United States please because there aren't that many buildings on it and there not that good.

oh just saw this comment that says to turn off overheating engines maybe that's why every ship I use from the whole entire workshop explode :0

@samanthakoens Make sure you disable Overheating Engines in the options menu

I start the ship how the tutorial says and then throttle the ship from the bridge and then it idles. and then i switch the controls to the engine room it continues to idle and then the engines explode
