I would love to see this updated to work with the continued fork (and v1.4.)

Is the source on GitHub by any chance? (=

not sure if you are still modding, but mille just updated the original mod.

Thank you for the mod
I'm playing with Polyamory Beds Vanilla Edition (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2008138191) and Advanced Polyamory Beds (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2130100658) , both of which are stated to be compatible with the normal [JPT] Soft Warm Beds
However, all the poly beds from both mods have lower comfort and rest effectiveness than the normal single and double beds
Do you believe the issue to be on this mod's end? Is a fix possible?

I support idea of rebalancing, but not this way. Heavy fur or Devilstarnd is a good ARMOR material. They are not soft by any common sense, they protect well from bludgeoning weapons.
May be made softness as some formula from heat/cold protection and blunt protection?

Hey I ask this from the original mod author too, but playing hsk which has increased the armor values as the modpack is much harder, makes the overall softness stats very low. Wondering if it’s possible to get either sliders in the config to adjust how mu CJ softness gets applied or perhaps takes into account any bed rest multipliers added to leather or fabric.

@The Blind One
The brutal punishment of sleeping on the ground is why I made my ancient scrap tent mod, unless you get really unlucky there'll be a few cars laying around.
The Blind One May 26, 2022 @ 7:19am
In Patch_SoftWarm there is an object defined as 'Rede' but what is that? It's not part of vanilla or from any DLC that I know? (maybe I should ask in the original softwarm forum but I use this to override since the original is even less balanced lol)

Also, I guess somewhat logically the patch also doesn't touch slab beds from ideology but in contradiction it does touch slab beds from vanilla expanded.

Also may I suggest that sleeping spot be buffed to 0.58 rest effectiveness? Which would be the same as an awful wooden bed with no bedding according to the chart I see. The ground really isn't that bad to sleep on as long as you're not sleeping on concrete. Soft soil and grass is quite nice to fall asleep on actually and it would make the start more tolerable.
The Blind One May 26, 2022 @ 7:01am
I know but don't you think it's a little overkill? 12+ hours of sleep?! I get that ya want to make the upgrades more meaningful but I think it's a little too much of a penalty. Thrumbofur excellent bed gives 142% rest effectiveness? holy cow bro ... I like soft warm beds but they don't actually make you sleep any more effectively in real life. I know its a game so some bonus needs to apply to make it worth it and now I can get behind the whole comfort thing, seems totally fine by me, but 0.47 rest effectiveness for sleeping on the ground? It doesn't actually make you sleep worse, it just makes it uncomfortable and kills your back lol. I'll just edit it myself lol
Pet Mudstone May 25, 2022 @ 2:05pm
That's because the the minimum rest effectiveness is less than vanilla, so sleeping on the floor is more punishing as a result.
The Blind One May 24, 2022 @ 8:27am
Starting as a tribal is kinda brutal with this mod ... my guys be asleep more than half the day due to rest effectiveness being absolute trash when you sleep on the floor and can't build a decent bed lol, I mean I get it that it's not as effective but ... you honestly shouldn't need 12 hours of sleep just cause you slept on the floor ... original mod seems to be even worse lmao

Could you make a patch for Erin's Japanese Furniture ? It has a built in patch for Soft Warm Beds itself and I think it could use some readjustment too.

Thank you

Update please 1.3
Daleimere Jul 14, 2021 @ 8:10pm
Oh well...

Sorry that was simply some translation misunderstanding of my side...

Please ignore my post lol.
Jiopaba Jul 14, 2021 @ 2:44pm
@abz1234567890 What do you mean "what mod"? Thrumbofur is a totally vanilla thing that you get from butchering Thrumbos. In vanilla I don't believe thrumbo are shearable at all, so they do not produce any type of wool whatsoever.
Daleimere Jul 8, 2021 @ 2:34pm
Hi there,

First of all, thanks for your amazing mod. I do love this more realistic re-balance.

However, I would like to ask which mod did the "thrumbofur" in your list implied to? I used thrumbo extension:

https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?l=tchinese&id=859466666

and from my most recent playthrough I just happened to notice the softness of the thrumbo fur was 37% rather than 59% while the megasloth fur remained 38% as your list suggested. Not sure whether it was intentional or just a tiny glitch hiding in codes. Would you please have a look into that? Thank you so much.
An Ol' Spicy Keychain Apr 29, 2021 @ 7:16pm
thanks i love the realism of the mod but the values were bugging me, especially with how bad most textiles below cloth were
jptrrs Jan 24, 2021 @ 3:30pm
Good job! ;-)
Cozar  [author] Jan 16, 2021 @ 6:26pm
It changes the calculation. Softer materials will have high insulation value and high sharp.
Valience Jan 16, 2021 @ 4:07pm
Does this change the calculation that is used to come up with the Softness value, or are you manually setting the values for each material? I'm mostly just wondering how this will handle modded materials.
SkyLarkBlue Jan 15, 2021 @ 9:33pm
It did work just fine even with the warning. I don't see the warning anymore (which makes sense if you removed dependency). Thank you for this mods, I've never played with the beds before but your description immediately made me not want to play it without your mod too. Finally a use for all that wool that has no armor value.
Cozar  [author] Jan 14, 2021 @ 8:49am
It will work. I don't know why it can't recognize the right version of Soft Warm Beds. I removed the dependency tag, but you still need Soft Warm Beds, so just don't forget to load it.
SkyLarkBlue Jan 13, 2021 @ 10:13pm
The mod manager is flagging this as mismatched version with the original mod. I think it's just a tag issue, I haven't started my game yet but I'm going to assume it will work anyway.
