Hmm, something must have changed in the ownership check. Will try and look into it soon. Don't play Conan much anymore, so may take some time to keep it going.

stones seem to not check for ownership for linking. had my stone linked to a different tribes stone because he made one before i could make a mate. also shows every stone on the map regardless of ownership

Will have to look into it, I have not played much recently, just tried to keep the mod working. @Velvian I used to run it on our server without any issues, but will test with the latest server to confirm.

Hello, I have a problem with this mod. When launching the server, the mod log tells me that the cache for this mod is missing. Did I forget something to do?

@Dazzler_3000 There is a Knowledge that will give you the base skills for it. Then you craft them on the tables. Look for Rune Master in the Knowledge tree, then the Artisans Table and the Alchemy Bench.

It's probably really obvious but how do you craft the runestones and potion? Maybe the mod isn't working but I can't see it in my normal inventory modding, in the build menu or in the alchemy table. I can't see it as a recipe to unlock either. Thanks

I have not seen this, the way it works it is looks at all the stones and finds one that is not linked, when it does, it links to that. The only way this can be an issue is if you break the link on another one and have two that are unlinked.

the description here is a bit misleading - the stones do not pair by building order, but by closest other runestone. today we tried to set up a second set of stones, but only got teleported to the one 10 meters to the left, instead of a third base that we tried to connect to a network

Not really, it checks for ownership, so the player or clan. It would be possible to change, but I have not gotten into making interfaces for the mod yet, so it would need to be hard coded.

Is there a way to make Travel Runestones Public for anyone to use? or add an option to let specific people claim it aswell to use without being in a clan

Happy New Year - Update posting today. Revised prices on stones, as well as linked in with Sorcery a bit. A new Runestone to link as your home stone and then a Potion to drink, taking you back home.

They are different mods, for different uses. This is a progression mod, that has pretty high requirements. If you want to use it on a personal server, spawn them in and set them up. If you just want to have teleportation all over the map, other mods may be better.

Tested and confirmed it works in 3.0, did find a bug with returning to inventory that disconnects the stones, will have to look into that.

The stone always link with one other stone. If you put down a third stone, you need to add a forth to get it to connect to the third.

As for the Ingredients, it is something that changes the entire aspect of transportation, so it is not designed to be easy to get.

I'm confused about this mod. It works well with two stones, but when I set down a third stone, nothing happens. Is there a way to make multiple stones functional?

Would it be possible to update the mod or make a version where the ingredients on travelstone are less demanding on the mid-game? I suggest a steel bar, treated wood and hardened leather. The idea is to make them not too hard to do and not that we will only be able to use travelstone in the end game. Please do and thank you in advance.

Ran into some issue on my server with some old and some new. Stone would connect to two different location and not reconnect properly. Only fix I could find was to dismantle them and then recreate them (either Admin spawn or building). For those on live servers without Admin I am sorry about this, not sure why it is even allowing this to happen.

Any new stones that are placed will have the proper settings for being able to be picked up. Older ones will not allow them to be picked up. This is due to condition of the pre-placed ones. If you have admin rights on the server, destroy the old one, and place a new one, then go through and do it to the other side. This should update both and allow you to then pick them up.

Load order shouldn't matter, I add to the item and recipe tables, so as long as nothing after it completely replaces them, it should be fine. Working on an update to allow them to picked up.

Looks like the current mod, works fine. No issues with removing, building or reconnecting. Will continue to look at expanding the mod with maybe naming or other functions. As for the mod ID (2301970249) you can find this in the Share Button above, it will display the ID.

@HankMrCoyMode You can actually get Obsidian, but you have to use the convergence trap to pull stuff from the other side. Not sure if this is the same with the latest updates.

@AssredChaos I have not seen this myself. Do you have any other mods running?

@Stealth Bison, I have not seen this, we run with about 5 different locations (with a central portal room) and have not had any issues with the connections getting messed up.

I've noticed a bug after placing a stone and destroying one that I can no longer build in the area where the stone used to be.

So every time we reset our server the runestones connection gets screwed up. We currently have two sets: The first one is from our main base to a northern base and the second is from our main base to an eastern base. Every time we restart the server (which we do nightly because it's just for us and our friends) when it comes back on the runestones all connect to the eastern base. Is there a way around this? Because otherwise we really love this mod.

Nice work on this. Tested it in singleplayer and it's pretty simple to implement. However, I put it on my server and realized that I can't use it without admin commands since it calls for composite obsidian and I'm playing on Siptah, so there's no obsidian to be found anywhere.

I was wondering if you could make a Siptah-friendly version that uses maybe Starmetal or Eldarium instead?

It does a scan for the next available, so it would probably be the first one placed, although it would all depend on which one the system reported first. I see the issue, but don't know of an easy way to tell you.

Overall the system should work independent, so you could give it a try before removing the old system.

I see. In my scenario that would leave me with 2 unlinked stones, yes? Which one would get linked to the next placed stone?

Sorry for so many questions, but I'm considering this as a replacement for ExtendedCartography so I'd like to know how it works before I swap them. :)

Currently there is no way to pick up a stone, but if you destroy the stone, then it would clear the destination of the linked one so it would now be an unlinked one that would link to the next placed one.

Just to make sure I understand it correctly..

If I place two stones, they become linked and I can teleport between them.
If I place a third stone it again starts unlinked so it cannot teleport my anywhere.
If I place a fourth stone, it links with the third one and I can teleport between them.

What would happen though if I placed a third stone and picked up the first one? Would the second and third one get linked automatically?

@Durum I had this issue with the earlier versions, but it shouldn't be doing that with any recent versions. Can you do a test and confirm that some other mod isn't conflicting? I have been using them for our server for a few months with no issues.

I think there is an issue with the mod actually, when i reboot the server all the stone are taking the position of the last one i place in the world. maybe something to check !

It should not, I use a reference to make sure the owner is the player or guild, but do not modify it at all. If you find what mod conflicts, let me know and I will see if I can test them together to help determine the issue.

question, does this mod modify player_basemodel ? every time i install this mod i get this error, now not saying this mod won't work on its own, but it clearly is not working with the mods i have installed. so i ask to narow down the other mod that breaks this one.

They link to another one, so you can't select which to teleport to. You can put down as many as you want, but you place each end and they link up.

There isn't a distance limit, I have done it from one end of Siptah to the other. As for the appearing under the map, this was an earlier issue I had, but with adjustments it doesn't seem to be an issue currently, I added a few checks for the build location.
