Maybe there could be some kind of lower-teir pelt armor to stay warm with?
What a shame that this map has been stagnant. I have recently discovered it to install on my server and I see that it is not completed. It is immense and I understand. Too bad!
Next Update
v 0.1.3 (ETA : TBD)
- Cave of the Brute
- Second mini-boss
- Modern-tier snow armor
So yes I think he plans to do little more.
So not sure how mods would be able work on here. But be cool if could I agree.
Are mods supported with this map? Short anwser, no. The map is fairly unique, having plenty of new creatures variants, items and even structures and this fact is the cause of compatibility issues with other mods. Several ways of fixing the problem are being evaluated, although the final fix will not be coming shortly.
On that note, I understand. It's a big project to take on by yourself. You did an amazing job. It's hard to believe you were alone on this. I eagerly look forward to your next project. Honestly, I can't wait to see what you'll create. I hope it's as beautiful and foreboding as Glacius.
Said experiences are currently helping me with the creation of a new map I've started working on. It's going to be noticeably smaller but will also retain the challenging aspects of the original one without being as obnoxious in some aspects.
The new map will be 100% mod compatible this time around and shouldn't include any crazy custom dino variants, unless they are part of a dedicated and independent mod.
Engrams from all the paid DLCs will be part of it by default and the corresponding resources will be available in appropriate locations.
Additionally, a good amount of assets/ideas that were used/ready for Glacius will be reused in this new map to greatly speed up the development time.
For the time being, I'm considering shelving (not for ever) the map once the update is out. I'll likely be addressing and patching glaring issues as they come up and/or some of the new creatures that came to the game.

As for parasaurs, they should be common around any of the spawn points.
