I have no idea what may be going wrong.
I think you make some good points.
As for this:
"It is interesting though that one's cargo ships cannot cross oceans (deep water) until one reasearches astronomy; I do not know whether this is intended or not."
I have not played with this mod in awhile, so I can't remember this happening. It is not intentional. I can guess why this is happening, but if I am right it will not be a quick fix.
At any rate I don't plan to make further changes to the mod or any new mods for civ 5. However, I may make a few for civ 6, so thanks again for the feedback as this will help me if I decide to make mods for civ 6.
atlantis
thanks for your interest though.
never heard of Thoth
are you not able to see the civ when you try one of the maps I created (if just one of the maps, which one or tell me both) or are you not able to see the civ with any map?
not many civs can go wide effectively so I like that this mixes it up. I do think it is balanced though, simply because the other unique aspects are not that significant.
...And science.
So this Civ effectively can ignore the Science penalty(Exactly 5% per new city) for going wide. Hmm.
That's understandable. I can't really imagine creating 3D models for a game. It's still nice to be able to play as Atlantis, so thanks anyway.
I would like to do that, but I dont have the artistic ability. I have put it out there several times that if any has some artwork that they made or found that is better, then I would use it but no one has given me any suggestions. perhaps you could find something better.
I agree but I am not an artist. If you would like to provide something better I would likely use it.
that's good! I will keep this more of an ancient civ, but I am tempted to do something with aquaman now.
Maybe even make an end game unit replacement.
I'd like the king of the sea over XCOM units any day
