It makes for a much prettier map, too.
Thanks you.
Thx for a quick reply
Oh and ofc in game setup I use option of "New World" so more hills and mountains.
But with the new features that uses mountains, is this needed anymore?
Never stop!
I could never figure out why there was no apparent difference between "old" and "standard" mountains until I read through the comment section of this mod. I used to always play "old" in a futile attempt to minimize lengthy impassable mountain chains. Such chains still occur with the mod, but seem to be limited to one or two per huge map, no longer 4 or 6.
Fun fact: the GS base game's extra mountains not only ignore world age, but actually fight it because old world age increases gaps between continent boundary volcanoes, which then leads to even more mountains filling-in the gaps. In other words, this mod fixes old/new world age in addition to bringing mountains back to reasonable amounts.
Every now and then I would check for a mountain reduction mod but, had to give up on civ 6 due to terrible map scripts, mostly due to how mountains work.
Do you have any intention (or is there even an ability to do so), to make a mountain "slider" for map generation? I understand world age does touch on this but it hardly helps.
Also, is this compatible with other map scripts?
Been waiting for this for a long time.
Thanks!
