Do you know what it is called? I couldn't find it on Workshop.

As a side note, Marshlord path seems......odd. Was there a need to change it?

Very solid job with the re-balance. It is refreshing to see 3 cards offered, and all 3 being interesting to choose from.

I have watched the full video you made with Voyix and the others (the one about Champion paths, as well as the one on Starters, and the full 5 hour video Voyix did with Cranberry on all cards), and it was super fun. It's nice to see more champions actually be playable. Shame progression is closed with this mod, since I would be down to play with it 100% of the time.

Is there a version of this mod that functions right before the Last divinity launched? Like, right before the DLC launched, with the alternate champions and such? I kinda dislike what was added to the DLC, I thought it was too gimmick.

That's actually a funny bug in that it exists in the base game but carries over to infusions in the mod that give stats. I'll have to look into it; thanks for reporting!

I found a pretty big bug, pun intended. If you infuse Keeper of Echoes onto a Kinhost Vessel then every time it inspires it triggers the Kinhost Vessel's summon ability. I'm currently giving my entire floor +10/+10 and +1 size for every echo every time it inspires. I have a video of it if you need.

For those worried about Covenant progression, you can use the "Console Commands" mod to manually increase your rank after each successful run.
And it turns out that Clan progression isn't locked by gameplay mods, so you don't have to worry about that either.

rainawareness : I advice you to play on, say, covenant level 5, and enjoy it. Think of it, like choosing "normal" difficulty in a standard pc game. :)

I should maybe give up on the regular covenant progression and try the balance patch. I fail ten runs with many different clans, but an Umbra run with Penumbra is ridiculously easy.

@rainawareness: Sadly, that's true for all non-cosmetic mods in Monster Train. This mod is not special in that regard.

@Jonor: At present, no, but it is something I am exploring. The challenge is that I'm trying not to make the game unrecognizable, though I think there are some relics that are universally in dire straits and deserve some love.

There's no mention that this mod blocks covenant progression, so I guess this is just for when you've reached covenant 25 already.

Found a bug. Run summary deeplink: monstertrain://runresult/2c6e8291-0a90-46bf-bea1-61c23dab3e9a

The game froze during the fight with daedalus. I hit end turn, the units attack, Solgard applies frostbite, and the Daedalus mine despawns and then...nothing. Play doesn't progress. The game just sits there.

I restarted the battle, played Solgard on a different floor. Same thing happened on a different turn, under the same circumstances. My assumption is that Solgard's altered revenge mechanic breaks upon taking damage from the Daedalus mines....he has nothing to revenge and the game just stops. It might be specifically due to the highly reactive mutator, or the acid rain mutator, or just happening regardless. Deeplink is there so you can recreate the circumstances if you choose.

Thanks for willing to look into it. I'm not planning to own the DLC. If you ever manage to make it work without DLC I'll immediately try it. I understand it would be a lot of work for anyone to do it for free, so take your time.

You can disable the DLC from the Monster Train main menu and not have any DLC effects in-game if you like while still using this mod. If it's a matter of not wanting to own the DLC at all, it will be a bit of work because I rely on a lot of the assets and programming paths present in the DLC to implement the mod, but I will look into it and see what I can do.

I honestly love the look of the changes, but I don't really want the new content. Will it work if I buy the DLC and disable it from the menu?

The mod currently requires the DLC, though I may be able to implement a feature to detect if you have the DLC installed and only load DLC-based changes if you do. It's most likely failing to make the listed changes without the Wurmkin clan present.

Does the mod function if you don't have the DLC? It seems pretty basic to install, and it says that its running and that I wont be unlocking progression, but none of the changes are there.

I'm actually not sure why they don't play nicely together; I think we both modify the same code in places for it to be an issue. It's the last thing I'm currently trying to figure out before I drop the next patch!

I'd generally recommend just experiencing the base game first, especially if you want to progress the logbook. Then check out the mod later on once you get a feel for why it'd be needed or fun in the first place! There's lots of stuff that's really tough to play at high difficulties in the base game, but at low difficulties it's totally okay.

It makes changes to and is balanced around the DLC content, but I believe it will still work with the base game and make changes to that. If you try it, I would be interested in your experience!

@Be Thou Rekt: As long as you have all of the mods turned in in-game, it should work then. You should have "Mod Loader", "Trainworks", and "Unofficial Balance Patch" loaded and enabled. If you're still experiencing problems, it's possible you have out-of-date versions of Trainworks or something, and you might consider unsubscribing from all mods and resubscribing. I've had some folks report that the Workshop can not update their mods like it's supposed to.

Working well, some really interesting changes here. I was actually just as pleased about the nerfs as I was about the buffs. Your changes to Handheld Totem Tethys and Dark Calling Rector Flickr are so perfect that I wish they were just what the main game went with - curious, was the Prepare trigger already coded in and not used or did you put that together?

v2.0.2.0 is released and I wanted to take a moment to call attention to a massive performance improvement (60-80% faster based on computer specs) made to the startup time by refactoring the way I'm handling localization. To everyone who has mentioned this as an issue before (or thought it was a frozen black screen), this should be a big help.

I don't really think that Railbeater is overperforming in the base game right now, but the base card ability of Melee Weakness on Strike is still present here. It can get pretty strong, sure, but I think some of the biggest highroll ways of supporting it have been nerfed around it to keep it in-line. I'd be interested in hearing more of your thoughts on that, though!

A particular form of cheese in vanilla is giving the Railbeater multiattack and damage buffs, because Melee Vulnerability multiplies total damage at the same time as multiattack, so damage on a railbeater is incredibly valuable. Is this fixed in this mod?

@Social Mechanic: As I've said before, make sure you actually give it a few minutes to load. This mod does a lot on startup that can sometimes appear as a black screen on slower machines. It may just take a few minutes to get there on first startup!
