Any chance of an update for 1.4 (...or for the soon-to-be released 1.5)?

Witch ~ Nov 15, 2023 @ 3:08am

Itsuji Hayashi Nov 15, 2023 @ 2:35am
@Evenstar, another +1.
velcroboy333 Jul 3, 2023 @ 9:19pm
@Evenstar, +1 to that.
Evenstar Jul 3, 2023 @ 8:31pm
It's not even just that though, this mod has some features that Biotech just doesn't have, so it would still be nice to have an update or a new mod just for the things that Biotech doesn't include. Like with the Children School and Learning mod, you could argue 'whats the point of that now', but it has lots of extra content, so there's still people like us who would be excited by updates :)
Kaisty Jul 3, 2023 @ 7:34pm
They want an update because not everyone has the funds to buy the latest DLC or wants to get it.
Witch ~ Jun 29, 2023 @ 3:43pm
Why yall want an update when its in the game now?
stellar_kitty Jun 29, 2023 @ 3:41pm
Any word on an update? @Mlie, maybe…?
Ferchutroll [ESP] Feb 17, 2023 @ 1:28pm

ElPapaDeTu Jan 21, 2023 @ 7:36am
1.4 Pretty please!
Biscotti Dec 14, 2022 @ 12:34pm
does the biotech mod include age as a killing factor? I'm not too sure if biotech kills your pawn of old age so this mod is still useful for that
Witch ~ Dec 4, 2022 @ 3:01am
We do. Now stfo and enjoy

Crimson Oct 28, 2022 @ 11:12am
Any champs feel like snatching that source code and updating the mod?
SunGod Oct 26, 2022 @ 3:41pm
FYI all, top line of the mod description: "Updates to 1.4 will be postponed until further notice. If someone wants to update to 1.4 you are welcome to do so. Source code is available on github. Link in description."
SunGod Oct 22, 2022 @ 4:22pm
Curious if this is still relevant with 1.4?
VelxraTV Oct 21, 2022 @ 1:54pm
Please update to 1.4
Hazardous Oct 6, 2022 @ 7:27pm
Hey apparently the new DLC adds children, have you looked into how the new system interacts with your mod or are you waiting for the full release?
VolatileGlitchAviator Aug 11, 2022 @ 12:20am
Should these be affecting animals to?
Veggito Fumando Jul 27, 2022 @ 11:10am
@katanaofsubterfuge there is a mod called ambrosial longevity that does just that but with ambrosia instead.
Maybe there is a proper mod that changes luciferium
katanaofsubterfuge Jul 22, 2022 @ 3:26am
If luciferum could cure ageing I would use this mod.
Doc Jul 21, 2022 @ 1:47am
Asking for a bit of help here. I am using the mod "Fallout Races: Playable Ghoul (Continued)". The race in that mod is supposed to be completely immune to all forms of age-related disease, and yet at the age of 38 a ghoul colonist I have has developed an artery blockage, a brain carcinoma, alzheimer's, and has had a heart attack in the span of about a year.

I have the mods listed below installed as well, though they are loaded AFTER the Ghoul mod:
Age Matters 1.2+
Babies and Children 1.3
Children, school and learning fertility operations
Faster Aging 1.3

Could these mods be the reason why? Thanks in advance for your help.

Killface May 8, 2022 @ 2:18am
Almost all of my biologically 20 and chronologically 60+ year old colonists received the Elderly state, any way to set the age manually?
Mordael May 4, 2022 @ 6:01pm
Can this be loaded mid-save?
CheeseWheelGuy Apr 28, 2022 @ 2:57pm
what happens if say, a pawn is a 150 yr old immortal, does he get a major decrease to stats or does it count as regular elderly
solidsnake8608 Apr 16, 2022 @ 6:41pm
@Anonymous - Use RIMMSqol and make sure the Baby hediff has Movement set to 0 under Capacities.
Anonymous Apr 16, 2022 @ 1:42pm
How do I make them bed ridden again?
The fact that a 2 hr old baby can run around my colony and put on clothes by themselves bothers me
meowcatmeowkitty Jan 30, 2022 @ 1:16pm
I have some ideas that could be neat Ideology integrations.

Maybe you could make children and teenagers a lot easier to influence in terms of ideoligion while elders are harder?

I'm not sure how feasible it would be, but what if teens could (rarely) suddenly decide to try out a different ideoligion with some chance to stick with it permanently or go back to their old one after a certain period of time? That would have some really interesting story potential.
Khabib Mourinho Jan 4, 2022 @ 4:56am
I have 'Babies and Children' and 'Children, school and learning'. Where should I place this mod? After all of them?
LoboOscuro Dec 30, 2021 @ 10:48am
does this mod control how quickly babies/children age? or is it reliant on the child species?
SaikoKay Dec 20, 2021 @ 11:19am
That is a sad news to hear ( at least for me ) but i understand thx you for your answer
troopersmith1  [author] Dec 19, 2021 @ 8:38pm
@MIGALAX La chose taré

I likely will not be implementing the Newborn stage into this version of Age Matters. There were some serious limitations to having a colonist born helpless due to the way Rimworld functions, that I frankly don't have the time/ability to code around. Particularly since not everyone using this mod actually *wanted* that feature ported over. More to the point, there are other mods (such as BaC, CaP, etc) that better implement a similar functionality that can be used alongside this mod, and this mod works well alongside them for additional flavor.
SaikoKay Dec 19, 2021 @ 8:32am
Hello there first of all i'm really happy to see one of my favorite Rimworld mod came back but i saw that the newborn life stage isn't there yet and i would like to know if it will become available and if it will when will it be ?

Updated. Added compatibility for Epona Renaissance
Eshminima Nov 15, 2021 @ 9:45pm
I haven't noticed it breaking any of my mods yet, but thanks for the warning
troopersmith1  [author] Nov 15, 2021 @ 4:18pm
@Lt. Pyrrho

Finishing up the patch now, but you should be aware, you should not use the Anthro Race mod right now. It includes BasePawn in the mod files, which breaks a lot of mods. I notified the mod author, but it seems it has been a thing for a while, I saw that N7Huntsman also mentioned the problem to the author some time ago.
Eshminima Nov 14, 2021 @ 7:23am
alright
troopersmith1  [author] Nov 14, 2021 @ 7:17am
@Lt. Pyrrho

I will be working on adding some race compatibility and the CnP compatibility today, but in future please use the correct discussions for bugs and patch requests.
Eshminima Nov 14, 2021 @ 1:22am
Hey could you do this mod? just asking for a friend

Updated. Patched for the latest Rimworld patch, and added support for Black Widows (Continued)

For the elderly person, I don't remember the exact health condition they spawned with. But besides their age, they were perfectly healthy. They were registering as having high amounts of pain, and it crippled them for some reason. It could very well be an extremely weird edge-case.

For the teenagers, it feels a little too frequent, but not detrimentally. I just didn't really understand the trigger for the breaks. But since you explained that's part of the design philosophy, it makes a lot more sense, so I appreciate that! :thejanitor:
