I have no complaints or bugs. I just wanted to thank the mod creator. This mod is cute as hell and adds some much needed softness into the cold, unforgiving Rimworld our pawns are all stuck on ♥

Yuh! It should work on 1.5 now
Lil Kitty Girl Apr 12, 2024 @ 4:03am
I assume this mod still works for 1.5 right?
twokay  [author] Dec 10, 2022 @ 1:19pm
They seem to have sticked around from testing earlier, all removed now~

Plushies only work for one tile away excluding corners, we're still trying to figure out how to rework it since changing it to dresser distance has unintended side effects (more than 2 beds will gain the plushies buff from a single plushie)

I really wish we could install them onto end tables next to beds
Catch Lightning Oct 29, 2022 @ 1:03pm
So plushies only work from one tile away or is that because it is an awful quality plushie? If it is one tile then a bed only has 8 spaces around not mentioning nightstands or sleep accelerators it since diagonals didn't work for me either. If the default is one please extend it to be something along the lines of the dresser's distance.

Yes! Plushies for all the new kids :D

Will this mod be updated for 1.4 when it releases
twokay  [author] Aug 30, 2022 @ 11:47am
The market value is calculated just like sculptures (material value + labor cost), it may seem a bit high since fabric itself has a high material value and plushies are ideal for caravans since they're much lighter than their sculpture-counterpart

Though I still see beer brewing as my most profitable playstyle unless I have plushie artisans (production specialists)~
Alanor Aug 30, 2022 @ 3:36am
Great mod, but the market value seems too high relative to the work put into making the plushies.

So cute and wholesome :'3

Plushies are the best thing in an unkind rimworld

Thanks for nice comments ^^ Re: stockpiles, the plushies are under Buildings/Art

Awesome, thank you for the quick update. I just tested it and I can confirm that patch now works with Gloomy Furniture, and should work with other bed mods, as long as the beds are labelled correctly.
twokay  [author] Feb 18, 2021 @ 4:56am
Oh thanks for pointing that out! An update is on its way thanks to your solution, we didn't test it on actual furniture mods before so such compatibility issues can easily slip through oh dear
Röstli Feb 18, 2021 @ 4:36am
Thank you for this mod, the plushies are cute and varied, plus it makes the art skill a bit more useful. However, I noticed that I couldn't link plushies to the beds included in GloomyFurniture, due to how this mod patches the bed ThingDefs. It currently patches beds based on the defName, but it should patch them based on the "label", since some mods don't capitalize bed in their def names (because defNames are case sensitize for some weird reason).

Changing the patch to use the label allowed me to link the plushies to the GloomyFurniture beds, and, in theory, that change would also apply to other mods that add beds, such as vanilla furniture expanded.

If you want to make that change, I uploaded the updated patch to Dropbox.

What a cute little mod. Is it possible to prevent psychopaths from cuddling plushies for joy? I understand they get no buffs, but it seems strange they still cuddle them.
Prince Rook Dec 4, 2020 @ 2:41am
Simply want to say thank you for this mod, it makes me really happy, especially when paired with other mods like the adorable little Cutebolds; very few things in-game make me smile as much as imagining my kobold snuggling her poorly-made "Purrington" (that she no doubt "borrowed" the name of from my doctor's own "Mayor Purrington of Cuddletown".

A fantastic way to contrast from the blood pool forming in my killbox and the hollowed out bodies in the incinerator.

Aww such good fluffballs!

Thanks for this mod - it's just delightful.
twokay  [author] Oct 20, 2020 @ 11:41am
All done! I hope that helps you, I can't wait to see how those cute Fluffies will turn out as plushies!
Rihlsul Oct 20, 2020 @ 8:17am
Oh!

In the BedThoughtsPatch, you check the ThingDef name with:
var hasPlushie = comp.LinkedFacilitiesListForReading.Any(thing => thing.def.defName == "Plushie");

Any chance that could be updated to see if the ThingDef name just starts with "Plushie"? (Currently my mod says "Comfort +0.01 (inactive)" because it's the wrong defName.)

Something like
comp.LinkedFacilitiesListForReading.Any(thing => thing.def.defName.startsWith("Plushie"));
Rihlsul Oct 20, 2020 @ 7:09am
:D Great! I'll look at that this weekend. My Fluffies are over here:

They're absurd but I love them.
twokay  [author] Oct 20, 2020 @ 5:17am
Oh of course! I'd love to see your cute little fluffies then~
Rihlsul Oct 20, 2020 @ 4:30am
Ooo... May I make a mod depending on this that adds my Big/Albino Fluffies as plushies? They'd be perfect little bed puffballs.
Con Oct 20, 2020 @ 3:46am
This mod is such a cute idea. Great job!

Ahhh I'm so glad you like it!!
LAJ-47FC9 Oct 19, 2020 @ 1:43am
... I didn't think that the perfect mod was possible. I really didn't. And yet, here it is, right before my very eyes. I never knew that this was missing from Rimworld until I had it.
I'm sorry if that sounded sarcastic at all, I just really love plushies. Much thank!
twokay  [author] Oct 18, 2020 @ 10:52pm
Oh dear human leather isn't even plushie material,, they're supposed to be soft and cute not firm and scary!
twokay  [author] Oct 18, 2020 @ 10:50pm
Ohh that seems to be an issue with the Easy Upgrades mod, it doesn't take to account that a tailoring bench can create a building-item and the mod doesn't minify them, it should be a quick fix for the creator of the Easy Upgrades mod if they check if an item is a building for tailoring benches too!
enigman Oct 18, 2020 @ 2:49pm
Easy Upgrades by ToyWalrus is the mod that I think has a problem. I use it to improve items from awful or poor until they get to normal quality. in the earlier starts of my games, once I've got enough colonists and the colony working well, I recycle/sell off anything that is poor or below. You have to have the resources the item is made from to improve the item.

In ny case, the plushies were being made from Dryad hair from a Monster Girl Races mod. Some were being made as poor quality and when I went to 'improve' them, that's when, on occasion, the tailoring workbench disappeared completely and the plushy was installed in it's stead. I know I improved one or two plushies without incident, then it suddenly started replacing the tailoring work bench. I have a ton of mods installed but the improve item option seems to be what triggers it.
Schindler's Fist Oct 18, 2020 @ 2:20pm
Psychopaths should get a mood bonus if the plushie is made of human leather. ;P
twokay  [author] Oct 17, 2020 @ 11:32pm
What's the name of the quality-changer mod you've been using there?
enigman Oct 17, 2020 @ 10:37pm
I've got one weird issue with this mod installed. Another mod I have installed allows you to attempt to increase the quality of items, weapons etc. I improved one plushie but from poor to normal but another attempting to increase the quality of a different plushie results in the the plushie being installed in place of the tailor bench and the tailor bench disappears altogether - it doesn't go into storage, it just disappears. It's happened a few times now, but I don't catch it in the act of disappearing as I am usually checking some other action, caravan etc and only when I went back to my tailor bench did I find it missing.
Zilican Oct 17, 2020 @ 9:02pm
""Psychopath" colonists are not too excited about plushies..." does this change if plushies are made from say, human leather? Asking for a friend...
MrClint Oct 17, 2020 @ 1:12pm
Nice one.
Plushies for everyone, even the prisoners!
Evrys  [author] Oct 17, 2020 @ 11:40am
We fixed that one, thanks for quick feedback ^^ Sleeping spots don't have the "linked facilities" component so that was the source of the null!
twokay  [author] Oct 17, 2020 @ 10:12am
Hmm, I can't find a way to replicate it, could you please send us the debug log in the Bug Report discussion? That would help a lot!
MrClint Oct 17, 2020 @ 9:29am
It seems like I can't capture or rescue while having Plushies mod on. The pawns just lays there wiggling. I get some error while trying to rescue/capture that mentions Plushies, and it works without. Nor can I feed them (the option just isn't there).

Didn't copy the log error while the mod was on, but can of course provide it if needed.
