How do you make coop bots work on custom maps like this? What kind of nodes/navmash are required?

one of the worst maps, i got stuck on 2nd map enemies fall down in that foggy castle and the are invisible walls and i can't kill them

@Major BioMech I don't have the files anymore sorry My recommendation would be is to look for green marked folders and it should be like ZZ_Halloween or ZZ_HalloweenEvent. Location should be in levels of SeriousSamHD_TSE Z5_Others or named with the start 01_

@Psycesponge You are quite welcome! I assumed that the mini-Khnums were probably something out of your control, and I was able to adapt to it just fine. There is a real lack of Halloween/Spooky themed maps around all the Serious Sam workshops, but this one is a real quality campaign (and if you want an extra scare, play it solo!) ;)

Im very happy with this campaign and can't wait to see what you might do next! Always fun to explore modded maps!

@fallen Navigate yourself to Network Play > Choose Cooperative > Start Server > Choose Classic > Click on Level it's at the top > Choose Halloween Event 2020 and pick a map you want to play.

@dragon808tr Thank you for taking your time to report this. Such nice words really keeps me motivated. Thank you so much for playing. You even played solo without bots which quite amazes me that people like challenge. I even myself didnt bother playing alone so i always pop in 4 bots at best. The khnums yea they can get annoying when they destroy your cannon ball however they are not in my control. They are Harbinger's enemy resource pack. Sure i always can modify them but i have no experience with enemy design.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Again it keeps me motivated to see people enjoying my work. :)

One final minor note, after beating the final level (again, I was doing singleplayer, not sure if it appears in multiplayer). The next thing that loaded seemed to be a weird movie/demo of The Second Encounter, but can easilly be exited by the usual means. Was just a little odd.

Anyway, sorry for the text wall, as I loved the campaign and just wanted to share my thoughts.

In terms of asthetics, it is very nice with the visuals being unique. The use of fog in the 2nd level was really unique and fun, making the cuberitos much more threatening! The 3rd level was an absolute blast to play through, with tons of enemies and crazy encounters. The only minor issue in the later levels is that the canon balls will blow up once they hit the mini-khum-like enemies (though I think that this can be attributed to the model, or sometheing outside your control Psycesponge).

Bottom line, this is a great map with a nice Halloween feel for those that can't get out to have any Halloween fun this year! Thanks for making it and I hope to see more sometime! Have a nice day!

Excellent map! I just went through it in singleplayer (just to test it out and make sure it was working properly, as I have had issues in the past), and I must say it was an excellent experience! The only issues were enemies sometimes getting caught on the roofs/inside houses (first level first area) and occasionally on graves (second level, first area). Though, this didn't impact the game as they were able to be easily killed. Additionally, I noticed a lack of autosaves near the end of the first level. A save right before the boss would have been nice as the bosses were slightly harder than expected, since you really need to split your focus. Though, this is most certianly a multiplayer map! As there are tons of enemies and ammo can get low unless you really push for the ammo backpacks! (Though this does make for a unique and difficult challenge for those playing solo, and looking for a real serious challenge!)

Didn't know about Gnaars, never happened to me before, wow!

After unsubscribing everything except the mod and all the necessary resource packs, bots finally worked. However, level #3 (Twilight) still doesn't load.

@cadetpirx Because my design focus was to create a simple campaign with no cutscenes. Making story non important. It's all about action and the amount of enemies go at the player. Player's task is to team up with bots or other players and fend off the hordes of enemies. One player with no bots is technically impossible to beat properly without deaths. If you do beat it on serious difficulty alone with no deaths then kudos to you. Bots are Coop partners that is what i designed my level for. Bots and Multiplayer. Simply doing this alone is just not worth it. Sure you can load singleplayer and add bots but your saves might get corrupted or simply broken because of bots. I never tested that but i assure you it's best to play with respawns or lives in one of the multiplayer coop gamemodes.
Or in short it's because enemy spawns are outrageous when doing this alone. This is not Serious Sam 4 where you can dual wield your way out of thousands of enemies.

@SeriousAmaro Gnaars are Fusion's bug. It happens in the editor too and there is no way of fixing it. The issue is unknown to me. As for third level make sure you have Alice Madness Returns Assets Pack Subscribed. SS3 Ultimate Resource Pack too. Also check if they are enabled. If the issue persists you'll have to send me your log file. To do that simply load the level that does not work for you. After the error of Unable To Load Level turn off the game and locate Steam\steamapps\common\Serious Sam Fusion 2017\Log. Then select Sam2017_Unrestricted.All and create a link for me to download your file. I'll take a look and see whats missing.

It is correct. But at this point I think it has to do with other mods installed, I'll try again with everything else disabled.

There are a couple of more bugs: 1) Gnaars seem to go in their idle animation and float throughout the level aimlessly. It happened a lot in the castle section, where they got stuck entering the building and then went idle; 2) The third level was available for me at the start, but it won't load. Finishing the second level it also says "Unable to load level"

@SeriousAmaro Thank you for reporting. Are you sure you have cheats enabled of a value 2 instead of 1? It must be cht_bEnableCheats=2 not cht_bEnableCheats=1.
I tested if bots spawn with my main developer files and with workshop package files. Both worked fine bots spawn as they should. I am sorry you're having troubles

Really fast update! I can't seem to spawn bots though, all cheats work except spawning bots. I can choose the character and the double click has a sound effect, but nothing happens

@Mike Uchiha You are right Fusion's engine does poorly when it comes to vegetation. Thats why many vegetation models have to be simplified before being actually used. Thats why i avoided using any complex vegetation models. Main FPS drops are probably grass and tree shadows

2/2 - Level #2: the Flamethrower is brighter than the sun, probably due to other lightning effects colliding one with the other, it's hurts the eyes. Most importantly, the invisible barriers are too abrupt and not logical for the first playthrough. I understand their existance, but I suggest to use some sort of metal railing or fences, already used throughout the original campaign with their sound effect and raised from the floor for about half Sam's height, so that is clear that you can shoot trough but not go passed it.

Other suggestions would be to replace the useless Shotgun with the Tommygun, and the Rocket Launcher with the Grenade Launcher (more useful for packs of enemies, punishes you for getting too far from the biomechs, it makes the Highlander fight more unique and is invaluable for the hordes of Kukurbitos). Make the Rocket Launcher available in the hallway fight before the first boss. If you can make the pumpikins hitbox smaller it would also be great.

1/2: It seems like a good project, a couple of bugs and suggestion to report (I've played up to the Castle area of level #2 so far, I'll split this comment into two):

- Level #1: I think you know it already, but mobs get stuck between pumpkins, as well as houses windows and roofs. The fog effect that takes place in the square area before the Cathedral is too abrupt and you can walk backwards and see the box. I suggest to fade it in and out, and extend the box for the previous areas as well. the "door open, now proceed" text do not show every time you're supposed to go through the next door, and the text before the boss has some typos (maybe try something like "Cathedral doors are now opened. Head to the final area")
