@Damon_Vi also having the same issue

For anyone wondering, this seems to work just fine on 1.4

Here I was opening every xml and adding
Leathery
etc to material/metal types when this mod existed. Lol.
Great concept for a mod. Well done.
Thranos Oct 30, 2022 @ 5:06pm
This should still work with 1.4, right?
Damon_Vi May 9, 2022 @ 10:41pm
love this mod, been using it for ages. i just came across an issue. corragium weave is showing locked, and "needing" a multi-analyzer. i've had one of those for several quadrants, and it's still showing as locked on the research tab. any reason this could be happening?

Would it be possible to add weaves for antimatter and hyper alloy from "Antimatter Annihilation"? The idea of wearing antimatter parkas has some appeal I think :)

I really like the idea of this mod, but the bonuses on the fabrics don't seem worth it. Even the best of these fabrics barely matches devilstrand, and by late game when I want this, I have plenty of that. I would think that the plasteel weave would at least be between devilstrand and hyperweave. Skysteel weave also seems particularly underwhelming, considering skysteel is pretty rare; the stats here don't make it worth crafting. It would be nice to see maybe a boosted version of this mod with higher stats. For reference, I use an armor rating unlocker, Vanilla Apparel Expanded, and Alpha Animals. That means that I look for high sharp armor overall and I never have to worry about heat/cold. I understand that doesn't represent how everyone plays, but I do think there must be other people with this issue. Alpha animals adds a lot of different leathers that match heavy fur or better, so that may be a more common measure. I like to add materials so I wish I could make this it work for me.

I was wondering if there will be anymore compatibility updates such as for;

Expanded Materials: Metals
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2259837114&searchtext=Expanded+Materials
Just for some of the more advanced metals, like Titanium

or for the Fantasy Metals Reforged
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2173422423&searchtext=Metals
For metals like Vibranium or Mithril

First of all, thank you for the mod. It is a good stopgap between endgame and early game materials.
But for that to work, I suggest reducing overall research cost by at least 60%. It is obsoleted by something that tribals can research and costs under 1/2 of the research units: Devilstrand.
Even if higher tiers make up for it, by the time you can spare 2000-4000 research units like it is nothing, everyone will be covered in flak and some in power armor.
So, there's that.

@Zergologist I got u fam. I'll try to patch and keep that in mind in the next edition.

And due to the way the game handles some things, I need to create a separate new mod that will patch every modded metal at once, and this mod will be reserved for special weaves / scales, instead. So this mod probably won't be updated as often. New version will be released soon(ish).
Zergologist Dec 7, 2020 @ 1:47pm
Can anyone add a patch to this mod to prevent stuff like all the weaves from appearing on tribals and even perhaps industrial people? I find it weird that tribals have access to plasteel weave.
5katz Nov 6, 2020 @ 5:23am
yep, the feature below would be cool :)
Zergologist Oct 28, 2020 @ 5:52pm
I wonder if there will be a patch included for expanded materials - metals to allow for some bronze-scale, titanium weave, stainless steel weave, iron scale, and more.
pgames-food Oct 17, 2020 @ 12:45am
hehe, i think somebody somewhere who likes lotr or d&d, has probably named their pet Mithril - or at least a daughter, Murtle :)

(not you just saying) :)
Fenriz Oct 16, 2020 @ 12:15pm
Is it possible for you to make a patch for the mod "fantasy metals reforged"?
I have no experience in modding sadly but i would love for my dwarfes to run around in mithril weave :D
Indy Oct 7, 2020 @ 4:37pm
Got it. Thanks!
Poet [author] Oct 7, 2020 @ 6:33am
@Indy Pretty sure it's compatible. This mod just adds fabric that's made from existing materials, it doesn't change those original materials in any way, nor does it add new stats to clothes that aren't already in the vanilla game. Let me know if anything weird pops up, though I very well expect it not to.
Indy Oct 6, 2020 @ 10:42am
Is this compatible with CE? Not sure if because of the materials, something changes... not sure.
Rylinu Oct 5, 2020 @ 10:24am
LOVE this! Thank you!
ashhhh2 Oct 5, 2020 @ 9:02am
i'd also like to see some form of stone weave/scale/plates
ashhhh2 Oct 5, 2020 @ 9:00am
bloodcrete and blood stone from [TRAHS]Blood would also be cool as scale
ashhhh2 Oct 5, 2020 @ 8:58am
i feel like having bonecrete and bone china scales would also be pretty cool
JustKos Oct 5, 2020 @ 12:15am
@Poet I would also like a patch for Fantasy Metals Reforged. If you could make it so it autopatches all metals it would be so so so nice!
Poet [author] Oct 4, 2020 @ 1:45am
I'm currently working on a version that should hopefully patch all modded metals and other similar materials at once. And if that works out as I think it should, @Robosium I'll implement the option to make scale out of any leather material with it.
Langreda Oct 3, 2020 @ 6:54am
@Poet great job! Interested in the Cupro's alloys or Metals+ potential
Robosium Oct 3, 2020 @ 2:32am
scale fabric should be made using any leather or patchleather so you can make it even if you don't have access to light leather
Imagine12 Oct 2, 2020 @ 8:33pm
Can you add a patch for Glittertech for that OP Titanium Weave
liosalpha Oct 1, 2020 @ 9:48pm
Yes, love this. Now my monks can make goldfoiled books!
ZX Zero Sep 30, 2020 @ 8:57am
you will patch Fantasy Metals Reforged?
Poet [author] Sep 30, 2020 @ 7:19am
I'm more inclined to make a patch for Metals+, since Cupro's has a bunch of alloys that would feel too similar to be worth it. Best case scenario, only a few materials will be patched in for weaves.
Smoz Sep 30, 2020 @ 6:56am
Cupro's alloys has lots of metals for this, including rose gold.
