How do I know that this mod is working? I don't have the configuration file in my steam folder.

If you run with the Mod Augmentations there is a chance you need an Augmentation or Gene Mod to get them back out if they get graveky wounded

Love it! All we need is to expand this mod to also restore Will when you score critical hits.

@RealPlayTV and @Stukov81-T.TV : I think we need a mod that causes stat drain (Permanent stat loss) on critical wounds (IE: Wounds that cause a soldier to go on the bleedout timer.).

Just finished a campaign with about 685 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up.

Look out for Simple Red Fog or Complicated Red Fog mods

Please, make a mod with a reduction stats (aim, move, dodge) when wounded in battle. Or tell me if there is one already

In my opinion a great mod in combination with things like Will loss per turn or Agoraphobia

Thank you to those who commented about where to find the Will settings. I don't generally mind this system, but when some party members are needing three substitutions just to keep up with normal missions I need to tone down the losses from seeing enemies.

Really good mod thanks!

You are slowly but surely becoming my favorite mod author, Hotl3blooded.

Thank you! I use a Reaper to do a lot of scouting and she was coming home 'shaken' after every mission.
Nicious Oct 26, 2020 @ 12:18am
thank you so much.. I play campaign with increased enemy pod size mode (enemy appears like around 34) and your mode works great.
Hotl3looded  [author] Oct 14, 2020 @ 7:26am
@Dub Yes I made this mod because I use increased pod sizes and increased mission frequency.. If you wish to completely eliminate the Will loss for activating enemies, you can do it via config editing... look in DefaultGameCore.ini the "SawEnemyWillRollData" entry.

I've been looking for something like this for a while. I tend to play with higher squad sizes in conjunction with enemy pod size increases which results in absolutely ridiculous will losses every mission as the game progresses, resulting in you requiring a roster of more than 50 soldiers. I initially wanted to recode the entire will loss system to only impact soldiers if they were shot at or took damage, but I have no real modding experience when it comes to XCOM 2. This at least provides a good alternative to the issue I'm having.
GargakOfTheEast Oct 12, 2020 @ 8:52am
This is great. Now the will losses are a little more fair.
Oblivious Naga Sep 30, 2020 @ 9:01am
Im in the boat were I dont have an issue with base will. my teams are always ready for a mission and to get any value out of my soldiers I have to up the will loss. I know people complain because they cant use their A team which is stupid but I think for this mod to be really nice is in a setting where will is actually an issue

I don't neccesarily want to disable it, but if there way no way for it to be counteracted is just silly.. Esppecially if you're just alpha triking stuff to death
Hotl3looded  [author] Sep 29, 2020 @ 5:57pm
@José no
Hotl3looded  [author] Sep 29, 2020 @ 5:56pm
@=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil you can easily disable the will lost from seeing enemies with configs. Look at GameCore "SawEnemyWillRollData"
José Sep 29, 2020 @ 5:26pm
@Hotblooded: So officer perk passive added by this mod, or...?
=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil Sep 29, 2020 @ 5:24pm
I found it stupid the will penalty for seeing enemies, but didn't seem to be any way to combat it
SentySent Sep 29, 2020 @ 9:03am
I got a suggestion to add if you are interested: Completing a mission with a Flawless rating will provide a morale boost to all soldiers including in the barracks.
Hotl3looded  [author] Sep 29, 2020 @ 5:12am
@Dragon32 thanks for pointing that out! I was not aware of that feature.

I will remove the Feral MEC change from default config. People without the HL can always add it back manually.
Dragon32 Sep 29, 2020 @ 5:06am
@Hotl3looded
Not sure if you know about it but the Highlander's XComGame.ini contains:
[XComGame.CHHelpers]
;MULTIPART_MISSION_WILL_LOSS_CAP=true ;uncomment this to prevent excessive will loss in LostTowers, Lost&Abandoned, ChosenStronghold, FinalMission

That's what I've used to prevent Shaken troopers after Lost Towers and Lost & Abandoned.

Not sure if there's a way to detect active mods and disable your Feral MEC change but enable that Highlander line?
Hotl3looded  [author] Sep 29, 2020 @ 4:55am
@José would make more sense to add that feature as an actual officer perk, no?
Hotl3looded  [author] Sep 29, 2020 @ 4:50am
@Patchvision Isn't there already a Will loss for civilian deaths in vanilla game? From the config file CivilianDiedWillRollData
Hotl3looded  [author] Sep 29, 2020 @ 4:48am
@Valvatorez There is a check to see if the unit uses the Will system. Sparks don't use it so they get nothing.

For augmentations, you should ask the mod creator to add that feature? But I don't understand why would a soldier with an arm amputation be immune to will loss/gain?
Valvatorez(Cox Cable = awful ISP Sep 29, 2020 @ 3:41am
I assume Sparks don't get this? I would also like to make soldiers using Augmentations immune to moral and fatigue loss.
Eko Sep 29, 2020 @ 2:06am
This is brilliant thanks 🙂
José Sep 29, 2020 @ 1:32am
How about adding a chance to restore will by being in the presence of an officer? For those that have mods that add officer perk trees.
Mrvecz Sep 29, 2020 @ 12:45am
Ah, it reminds me of old XCOM where killing enemies was restoring morale so as long as you kept killing aliens, your dudes wouldnt panic on their own.

And that aliens could panic too...
Kawapatch Sep 28, 2020 @ 7:59pm
This is such a good idea! One suggestion I have if it's possible, maybe reducing the team's morale if they kill a civilian from collateral damage? Since there's not much point in trying to avoid killing them right now. Doing the same if they see a civilian get killed by Advent in front of their eyes on retaliation missions might be interesting too. Either way a great mod!
neIVIesis Sep 28, 2020 @ 6:03pm
Nice!
