Is it necessary to have Vanilla Expanded Cooking ? I only want tofu as an alternative to meat for fine meals.

What does this need for a 1.5 update?

From what I can gather after a quick test, this seems to work in 1.5 given you have all the requirements. One of them is Vanilla Fishing Expanded, which isn't listed. Without it there's a red error.

I can't wait for 1.5 update woo!~ I'm getting really far into my first heavily modded play through, and I found out way too late you need meat for most of the meals in V cooking expanded. Being able to grow soy and make tofu would be awesome, so I can get into gormey meals and the little buffs you get :)

I wonder if Anomaly's ghouls will consume tofu once this neat little mod gets patched for 1.5 - I mean it counts as raw meat, sooo...

Yeah, this mod was designed long before vegetarianism was added to the game, so all the tofu's are set as meat, as that's... What they were designed for.

also, is deep fried tofu supposed to say it contains meat? or is that actually a false positive or something

Would it be possible to add an option to count tofu as animal product for balance since vegetarians are mad at it if its meat and carnivores are mad at it when its vegetable(and cant use it as meat substitute)? Since tofu is more like vegetable but can be used as meat substitute, in vanilla things that fill this role are animal products since vegetarians arent pissed when eating them, but they allow for making regular meals. and i cant imagine carnivore pawns being happy about eating tofu.

YES, IT'S FINALLY BACK!

- Updated for 1.4.
- Removed support for 1.1.
- Removed health hediffs from Vanilla Cooking Expanded for all versions.
- With permission, included Soybeans from Vanilla Cooking Expanded - Sushi in the mod, if VCE-Sushi is not loaded. Thus, Vanilla Fishing Expanded and the Sushi add-on are no longer required items.
- Integrated support for XML Extensions, allowing Tofu and Canned Tofu to be switched between Meat (default), Vegetable, or Both.

1.4 version has been provided for upload, with a few changes. This will likely be the last time I voluntarily update this mod, however, outside of any bug fixes I did not find in my testing of the 1.4 update.

I would also appreciate an update to 1.4, if you're looking at comments here to decide if people want it! Loved the mod for sure.

Recipe required 10 Tofu and 1 Spice from Vanilla Cooking Expanded, and is prepared on the Condiments table. I can confirm this recipe works on our end.

Idk why it keep saying I can't make spiced tofu even I have both tofu and spices. Could you please check it if it is an error just for me or not? Thank you!

my vegan pawns think the tofu is meat and act accordingly. any way you could get tofu to be classified as a vegetable instead?

All: We've released a standalone version of this mod, with JUST tofu, nothing else! Also has mod settings to let you choose Meat, Vegetable, or Both. Vegetable allows you to use Tofu for vegetarians.

This mod uses soybeans from Vanilla Cooking Expanded - Sushi, which requires Vanilla Fishing Expanded.
