9x18mm makarov is noticeably less powerful than 9x19mm parabellum (the 9mm we all know of today), it can penetrate 2 bodies, three if you go through some small parts in the first two, because almost all handgun rounds used militarily can

it cannot blow up peoples heads like .44 magnum or .50 AE, you are not "mutilating" anyone with a standard 9x18mm FMJ round, and it is almost useless against modern body armor; to the point the russian military has sought for almost 20 years to replace it, and have mostly failed due to how many they have currently in supply

russia's current issue sidearm is the MP-443 Grach in, you guessed it, 9x19mm parabellum

im not dissing this mod or the makarov as a pistol, its a video game and the pistols great, but to suggest the makarov is anywhere near as powerful as any desert eagle in its common calibers from .357 magnum to .50 AE is idiotic at best

Military speaking here: Makarov is an awesome pistol, even with his size. it can easily penetate 2 to 3 bodies, and not less important, the first body can me mutilated. So is another head exploder replacing another head exploder. By the way in Actual Russia this pistol is still used by military forces, specially in high charges.
