it sounds better in the video because there's no background noise
it should be even louder since i had pretty low ingame volume as well

im not asking to you make it loud, bc in the video it sounds way better and i hear the gear noises better in the video

I can't find any conflicting addons either, and I've already tried "snd_restart"

For some reason the actual stepping sounds stop for me, the extra gear rustling/jumping etc. sounds still work though?

the concrete sound effect still is the EFT sounds. i its sound ugly in my opinon. how tf do i get rid of this bro

Well sort of compatible mixed together anyway; basically when mixed together it makes it so the npcs have the goldsrc footsteps, but you as the player have EFT footsteps and stopping, turning, landing, jumping, walking and running and gear sounds. All toggleable and even a master switfch for eft steps... meaning you can reverse your playermodel back to goldsrc footsteps like the NPCs...

For example Max Payne player model? I will turn off the EFT footsteps using the check mark in the options. Then boom I have HD goldsrc footsteps without even needing to uninstall or resinstall mods!

This means more immersion, gear loud steps for a player model wearing a vest? Or just classic half life foot steps for a lighter player model that is just wearing clothes?

You can do that with these combined. They just don't stack which is okay! Toggle able!

Npcs will always have Hd goldsrc footsteps when combined. But again for the player this is switchable on the fly when combined.

Gentlemen I bring great news. You can actually install and mix these with Half Life HD Goldsrc Footsteps at the same exact time!!! Giving you the best footsteps possible I would say.

I love these, anyone know any mods or ways of adjusting the footstep volume though, the only thing I find holding back footstep mods from being less annoying is the sheer loudness of it in your ears.

A volume mixer mod or something that allows me to change volume for different functions in game.
