Unfortunately not. I'm not enough a D&D gamer to create stories that match the expectations of D&D players. Fortunately there are many dozens of great modules out there.

thats very short game lol, do you continue this ?

Take your time and don't rush, I'll be looking forward to it! Good luck! :D

It's been a while indeed. The cliffhanger will get a continuation if all goes well. I'm working on the plot of part 1. The module is far from ready, but I hope to be able bring it to something playable in a few months...

Nice! An unexpected update! Are you still working on a sequel, Yeol? :) I think I remember this one ending on a cliffhanger (although it has been years since I played it, so I could be wrong)

I've posted an update to version 1.12 of the Clachan Prelude module, with lots of fixes. Spoiler alert: the list of all fixes can be found under the "Change Notes" tab: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/changelog/2213131730

Hello Rhabarber Barbar, if I understand your remark, you need to install ProjectQ v3.1 for this module to work correctly.

You'll find it here (core file 3.0 + patch 3.1):
https://neverwintervault.org/sites/all/modules/pubdlcnt/pubdlcnt.php?fid=123654
https://neverwintervault.org/sites/all/modules/pubdlcnt/pubdlcnt.php?fid=34751

(from the vault: https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/hakpak/combined/project-q-archive )

I hope it works, have fun!

for some reason my module seems to work as what subscription is concerned
my guess is that it is related to mods with requirements?

Verdant Forest should work when subscribed in the workshop (and is not needed with the latest versions .15, .16...), but the Clachan module might not. The support of the Workshop by NWN is not 100% working. You might need to copy the module manually from the Workshop directory to your NWN directory. Then is works guaranteed.

I cant find it in my modules. I downloaded verdant forest as well.....

That was short :)
But good anyway. I liked the spooky feeling in the inn and the mysteries inside. I really hope to play next part soon.
As mentionned before, some lore will be good too.
Ty and see you soon, I hope.

Thank you, Kilsek, for your feedback. I agree with your remarks. I try to give hints to upcoming danger, but with the rats, I had no clue what hints to give. I hoped the rats would be more of an annoyance then a challenge. But characters without minions do suffer with this encounter.

The cleaning of the inn will get a little more attention, and more "lore" will be left lingering left and right. The story and context will be more worked out, and the (short) adventure less linear.

So, I'm in the process of perfecting this Prelude, to make it more of an coherent experience. An update will come, but due to lack of time, it still could take a while. ;)

It was short, I can't disagree with that.

So what I liked:
- I liked the maps over all. A little plain on the 'world map' but the inn was reasonable nice. Clearing and cleaning was a nice touch. Honestly I was hoping to do a bit more with taking care of the inn before the plot kick in.
- Not a huge fan of monsters spawning triggers that jump nearly on top of you. But only the rats behind the inn caused this issue.
- Sorta wish the goblin had a tiny bit more to do with the module. I assume he is for something later if this story is to continued.
- A little lore within the module would have been nice. A book or something within the inn to hint at a deeper history would have been welcome but I understand this is more a quick demo then anything else.

So I enjoyed my experiences and would like to see what you can do with this. My feelings where positive playing this.

Jorvach, thanks alot for your feedback. About the roughness of the gammar/spelling... English is not my native tongue, and I'm aware of the weakness. I would like to write more dialogues, but better not. That is why the player is almost alone in this adventure. ;)

I've to check about the script underflow messages. I did not notice them, but I'll look for them now you mentioned it.

This Prelude was intended to be very short, to see how it's being experienced by players. Larger modules might come if the concept and style is well received.

I'll put more attention to spelling and grammar the next time.

Thanks again for your comments. ;)

I downloaded this on the vault, btw, but I'm commenting here because I can't be bothered to log on to my NWVault account. :)

Very, very interesting! I can't wait to see what the deal is with the girl and the mirror and whatnot! Good job!

I did notice that the text was a little "rough", grammar/spelling-wise, it's not a big deal though!

I also got messages in my chat box about "script underflow" or something when lighting candleabras and wall torches. It didn't seem to cause any problems though, but just in case, I thought it was best to tell you.

All in all, even though it was really really short, it set up an intriguing mystery and I really want to see more! :D
