Updated for 1.4

Will come back to the Megafauna idea when I'm finished updating mods. Sorry I didn't respond before. I either missed or forgot the comment.

Any chance of another version of this mod for Megafauna's Doedicurus? :demoneye::demoneye:

I can take a look sometime this week to see if some better material balance would apply.

Sorry for a late reply. Yes it makes sense to me, but difference between for example cloth helmet and bearskin helmet would be **more** significant than awful vs legendary quality. That makes better material tortoise helmets compete with flak helmets and worse material useless. I would think lining should't have that much of effect, or at least there should be something to compensate for that, so higher material cost seems reasonable. Most headgear clothing requires 20 materials so maybe it would be a good starting point. If it's intended though, as "chain strength is strength of weakest link" analogy than that also makes sense.

I like to keep the "stuff" as a lining that adds its properties to the end product. It's been a while since I played though. Are you suggesting that the cost of the "stuff" should be increased for better balance?

Absolutely great mod! I wanted to tell you though that textile ingredients affect armour rating. Maybe you would consider allowing only cloth or increasing amount of ingredients needed due to game balancing? In any case I’m definitely going to use this mod all the time, so thank you :)

Hi great job on the mod! Can you provide the exact numbers for the armor rating of these gear in the description? Thanks!

Updated for 1.3
velcroboy333  [author] Jul 5, 2021 @ 4:10pm
Attention: I will absolutely be updating all my mods to 1.3. I want to take the time to look at the new code first in order to make sure the code changes are implemented correctly for the new version, as well as make any balance changes, and to implement any relevant new features into my mods,

The upcoming week is going to be busy for me already as the busy season for my real job is just beginning and goes pretty heavy through the fall and holiday season. But I will try to find the time as soon as I am able. My goal is to have all my mods ready for the official release in a couple weeks.

note I will be maintaining support for 1.2 after the update to 1.3 but I a have already moved on from 1.1 or older, so, those versions will not be maintained unless they are naturally compatible.

Thanks for your patience.

Is this a craftable item in game?
velcroboy333  [author] Sep 7, 2020 @ 8:48am
I initially based it on the code Hydro dug up. You're right though, it doesn't make sense. I did a complete rebalancing. Tortoise shells and their products will have less hitpoints. However, blunt/sharp armors now match that of a tortoise. Combined with the right material/craftsmanship, you can still make some pretty tough armor.
Vaeringjar Sep 7, 2020 @ 5:17am
Imo the helmet has way too many hitpoints compared to the simple helmet, 300 vs 100 default, heavy fur making it 450 while plasteel simple helmet is 280. I'd say something like 100-150 would make sense?
