Jaeger Jun 23, 2024 @ 7:30pm

Epik_Gamer2022 Jan 18, 2024 @ 12:23pm
Ok, thanks for info

This mod won't receive any further updates as it was made on Unity 5, and the game currently runs on Unity 2020. At some point I'll probably remake this gun and put it into a pack of firelocks
Epik_Gamer2022 Jan 18, 2024 @ 11:33am
Hey there, the musket is really innaccurate and I know it's not supposed to be a long range rifle, but I would personally remove the bayonet and make the sight bigger for better aiming, sometimes you can't hit enemies even up close and I guess it's because it's not shooting down the sight? Anyway the flintlock is also glitching when you shoot and reload animation is a bit clunky, but you did really good on the realism part. Anyway that's my honest review, thanks for reading :)
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Nov 21, 2023 @ 6:08pm
Yeah, the reload is only really accurate for the 1780s musket. The 1798 operates like most other firelocks of the period.
Hello World Nov 21, 2023 @ 5:29pm
wrong reload animation :steamhappy:
Coolguy5343 [saber] Aug 26, 2023 @ 2:54pm
I legit need to shoot the enemy so close to kill them
TimberWolf024 Dec 15, 2022 @ 2:40pm
@King_CreepaLot a pack of flintlocks would be cool! I understand the wait though, I will say that once you release that pack I'll probably be one of the first to download it lol, you never disappoint with your custom skins and weapons
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Dec 14, 2022 @ 5:27pm
I want to make a pack of flintlocks at some point, but have other projects that are taking more initiative at the moment
TimberWolf024 Dec 14, 2022 @ 4:01pm
I enjoy this mod a lot, for hits historical significance and it's a good alternative to Dr. Doctor Ph.d's Musket
TimberWolf024 Dec 14, 2022 @ 4:00pm
Would you mind revamping or updating this? I've noticed the reload can be a little janky at times (not that bad) and and Idk if it's just me or not but, the range at which your muksetball will hit enemies seems a bit short, most flintlocks could shoot at an average of 150 yards, sometimes more if it was being shot by an experienced shooter.
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Nov 27, 2022 @ 8:10am
I based the reload on the Austrian 1784, which seems to have not required priming the pan.
Ausbatley88 Nov 27, 2022 @ 6:24am
when realoading this wouldnt you put some of the gunpowder from the bullet in the flintlock system
BluesoldierJerry 2 Oct 23, 2022 @ 4:23pm
Thank you :)
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Oct 23, 2022 @ 4:15pm
At some point I want to
BluesoldierJerry 2 Oct 23, 2022 @ 3:05pm
can you make a Model 1777
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Jun 15, 2022 @ 8:47am
Flintlock
D1vine Jun 15, 2022 @ 8:31am
is this Flintlock or percussion capped??
ninjaauggie6 Apr 30, 2022 @ 2:22pm
I must say that this would go perfect with the 'Bludle 'o' bus' of the main game
skieliku Dec 6, 2021 @ 5:59am
nice musket! Maybe it is my favorite flintlock mod
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Oct 24, 2021 @ 4:54pm
Well, it's a musket. They weren't really known for their speed.
koishi komeiji Oct 24, 2021 @ 4:46pm
I like how it takes more time to reload than the railgun because of course.
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Aug 18, 2021 @ 9:45am
Hmm, maybe you're right. I'm not sure
Toxic_zda08 Aug 18, 2021 @ 8:39am
I think the Austrian m1782 did not need a gunpowder into the pan but the m1798 needed the gunpowder and if I am wrong, then sorry.
khunter3911 Apr 14, 2021 @ 11:58am
Oh
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Apr 14, 2021 @ 10:43am
That is intentional if you read the description.
khunter3911 Apr 14, 2021 @ 8:28am
reload done wrong? theres no animatiomn of putting gun powder in the pan
patrickjohnson102296 Mar 18, 2021 @ 5:49pm
I can't wait for those weapons.
fcb Mar 13, 2021 @ 7:52pm
Nice
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Mar 10, 2021 @ 5:19pm
Most assuredly; but I have several weapons in the works recently.
ie. a Puckle Gun, a Berdan II, a four-barrel Duck Foot pistol, and a Handgonne. Alongside the Type 26 getting reanimated
fcb Mar 10, 2021 @ 4:28pm
could you make the French 1777 Charleville musket plz
Irrik Jan 25, 2021 @ 10:49am
i dont know that much about wepons like you do
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Jan 25, 2021 @ 12:42am
I do quite like the design, it's pretty similar to the French Charleville series; truthfully the first proper flintlock I'd like to get would probably be this model.
Irrik Jan 25, 2021 @ 12:12am
still the design of the wepon is just WOW
Irrik Jan 25, 2021 @ 12:11am
ok i mean its not my mod i cant tell you what to do i know that they didn't have rifleing in the barrel back then
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Jan 22, 2021 @ 12:27pm
idk, I seem to have a decent enough job at hitting things with it. I guess if more people ask for accuracy to be increased
Irrik Jan 22, 2021 @ 12:24pm
I know muskets and flintlock rifles were really inaccurate but not at that level, you could hit your target
Irrik Jan 22, 2021 @ 12:22pm
Can you make it a bit more accurate even the pistol is more accurate
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Oct 22, 2020 @ 1:06pm
Hmm, that might be it. I think I've experienced similar issues when running 200 bots
SausageCarno Oct 22, 2020 @ 1:00pm
nvm, turns out i was just having too many bots and when too many bots fire at once i guess the sound breaks? idk
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Oct 22, 2020 @ 12:53pm
Hmm, that's strange. Truthfully I have no idea what would be causing that besides maybe a bug on Ravenfield itself
SausageCarno Oct 22, 2020 @ 12:47pm
i'm loving the mod! i have a problem with it though, i don't know if its the skins i'm using but sometimes the audio will break and just not make the audio when someone fires nears you, but you can still hear the long range firing
Muske Oct 18, 2020 @ 7:18am
Smoothbore also just fired a literal ball. It didn't spin when it came out making it very inaccurate. Rifled muskets fired a Minie Ball which was like a standard day bullet. It spun along the barrel making it pretty accurate.
Galahad Oct 17, 2020 @ 11:15am
Thanks for your comprehensive reply! Good to know little more about military history :)
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Oct 17, 2020 @ 10:50am
Yeah, there were some major differences between that fifty-year timespan. Smoothbores were highly inaccurate, and were considered better than rifles to the army (as rifles were more difficult to maintain, slower to load, required more training, and were more expensive to produce - remember, there were no factories, so everything was made by hand for the most part!)

The P53 made use of specialized bullets and rifling, hence it was termed as a rifled musket. The rifling made the weapon much more accurate, and thanks to the industrial revolution, this stuff became much cheaper to make.
Galahad Oct 17, 2020 @ 10:35am
is it so unaccurate compared to enfield 1853 irl too?
Pompadour Nautice  [author] Oct 17, 2020 @ 10:11am
Yes, it's a smoothbore musket
Galahad Oct 17, 2020 @ 2:38am
Its totally unaccurate even at 50m!
