Hey man, so I just bought the game last month, it's been one of those games that I always wanted to play but never had the PC or the money to do so but finally got to the point where i could (just in time for the sale lol) and I also wanted to give modding it a try- found your videos and followed them religiously, but i've been having trouble with it and was wondering if you would be interested in possibly helping me? I know I'm just a random dude but i adore this game and i put a lot of time into this and I think it's also created a bit of a new interest for me as well. It would mean the world to me if you could help me out or something.

When I made my first minor to major faction mod (the Kazanji Faction), the plan was to turn all the minor factions into major factions. The idea behind this specific mod was to teach people how to make a major faction through my tutorial series on Youtube. As practice, people can use a minor faction's trait for guidance and follow my videos to teach them how to make a major faction.

The problem is that I think a lot of people have moved on from EL, or at least its modding scene. The problem is that I started modding EL a year after the last DLC came out. I would love to develop a community here, but not many people seem to be into the EL modding scene. I think a big reason for that is that the game is old and it is very difficult to mod it. I was hoping to jump-start the EL modding scene by creating a tutorial on how to mod, but I dont think many people are interested in it. If I had all the time in the world I would continue making more mods, however, I can only work on these mods over break, as I am in my junior year of Structural Engineering. I also have other goals, such as learning unity and developing this business of mine, etc. Also developing a mod is very tedious, time consuming, and can be very frustrating, especially when im making a trying to create and learn new aspects of modding, like quests and victory conditions.

I do want to say that I am not done modding just yet. I do enjoy modding, regardless of the community. therefore, I might make another mod, this time it will have a hero in it. However, I am looking foward to Humankind and developing a modding community there. Lastly, I am also planing on uploading videos to my Youtube channel, although they will most likely be gameplay videos.

Sorry for the wall of text, but I do appreciate your comment and I want you to know why there may not be another minor to major faction mod. If you are curious about learning how to mod I can teach you, but I dont know if I will make another EL mod alone.

Having checked it out I think it's a neat idea. But If I were to give an suggestion I would say maybe expand it out from just Silics? Perhaps A group of 3-4 minor factions? I sorta get the Harmony vibes from Endless space 1? Other than that a **Very** cool faction idea with a fair amount of potential, I look forward to seeing where this heads out to.
