Just want to point out that the "redundancy" with the AK-103-# isn't a redundancy. The 103-1 is a single-shot variant, and the 103-2 is a single/burst variant. :mkb:

They have had dovetail-to-picatinny rail adapters since the early 2000's for PKM & SVD weapon systems and I agree the SVU should be in the game but it was never intended to replace the SVD, just modernise it.. The Chukavin SVCh replaced the Dragunuv SVD in 2018ish fyi. It's no secret Russia has been using western styled rail mounts and optics a number of years now even on their new models i.e the SVC has full picatinny rails.

1P29 was designed from the get go with a variant that's mountable to SVD, 1P63, 1P78, etc all have variants for SVD mount. The only real exception is stuff like NIT-A and early "kobra" series.
Really the only reason SVD can't accept a lot of things is that it's just pretty low priority for them.
It's pretty criminal that SVU series isn't even in the game, despite it replacing original svd and pkp in vdv service.

Sure, but normal AK optics generally aren't designed for SVD mounts and there's no baseplate system in RHS for those optics to go onto SVD ones. It should be a thing but yeah. Though, are any optics only designed for AKs issued with SVD baseplates? I doubt that all of them are for every soldier of professional militaries using AKs and/or SVDs lol

With regards to PGO optics though, fair enough.

With regards to the S1 bipod, true. I don't understand why its never been added which is pretty retarded lol

You can easily mount PGO-7 on a SVD, NPZ has variants of practically every one of their optics for SVD. For legacy AK siderail optics you can simply switch out the base plate on the mount. It was not "designed to not take other warrsaw pact rail optics". The only difference is where the stop is located. This is completely disregarding the NPZ universal mounting system. It's not limited in RHS because of 'realism', it's limited because it's not done. S1 bipod isn't even in the mod.

When I use bolt action sniper rifles from this mod, the relaoding animation between each shot prevents me from seeing the impact. is there a way to manually reload in between each round?

@amartyn Quote - "Increases RPG7 reload amination speed" Could you make RHS RPG-7 reload animation use CUP's RPG-7 or SOG Prarie Fire's reload animation? It would be much cooler. CUP/Prarie Fire reload animation made 10x better than RHS. Their animations are generally cooler than in any other mod / DLC for Arma3!

Mod currently breaks the BMD-2 and the BMD-2k. They are locked to 1 crew member and the firing effects are frozen when they are spawned in

Is it possible to add a feature for the RHS tank engines to fire up right away? Especially for the Abrams. I know it is realistic for the engine to take some time to get running but in my opinion it ruins the expirience. The AI crew tends to turn off the engine after a while and then you have wait 30 seconds or so to get going again. Its a huge pain in the ass.

Hi. Any chance you could edit the compatibility of the RHS VSS & AS-VAL so they support all CBA compatible tactical attachments, rathen then just the russian flashlight & laser? There is already another config mod available that does this, but it also contains a bunch of other edits that i dont like. It would be really nice if you could add this to this mod also. Thanks for the consideration and the great mod.

Love the mod, just wanted to give a heads up, I have been having difficulties using the VDV desert faction with alive. It used to work fine but now is no longer recognised.

Any ideas ??

@ajwubbin, to maximize compatibility I was using the same class names, just reassigning the faction. So rhs_t90_tv and respective groups vent to VMF. People asked to duplicate t72 for MSV (what I did creating new classes like rhs_t72_msv. T-72 is quite a signature unit though). Yes, for now you see t-90s in VMF only. But keep in mind that T-90 is technically an upgraded T-72. I tried to distribute high-profile units like Ka50, Tochka-U equally between factions. Real organization of AFRF is shared Tank Forces and Air Forces (like original).

This is gonna be an extreme longshot but I'll request it anyway.

The armour values for the BLUFOR vics are insane. The only tanks that seem capable to even scratch an Abrams are the T-90 tanks. Bradleys are also quite invincible despite them barely having any armour by modern standards. Is there a possibility to tweak those values to be more vanilla-like? I assume it would require another DMCA-breaking though...

Its quite a bane. Trying to do campaigns against the americans and not being able to destroy them with weapon systems that are more than capable
