@ryoyo , I am unable to reproduce this. Using your mod list and my own, the scream is still working on my end.
velcroboy333  [author] Sep 12 @ 10:53am
Weird. I'l look into it
ryoyo Sep 11 @ 9:33pm
I don't know if this is intended and I'm just not able to see where it says it or to figure out why it would do this, but somehow your mod is removing the "scream" that occurs when the anima tree is destroyed.
Tested by removing mods until taking this out fixed the issue. The below is an error message that was saved with a few more mods, but even when the only ones on are Core, DLC, and this one, there is still no scream.

Updated for 1.5 and 1.6. Let me know if any funny business occurs. Cheers!
velcroboy333  [author] Feb 9 @ 7:36am
It should. I didn't realize I hadn't updated this one yet. I'll take a look this week.
Virtuous Feb 9 @ 12:50am
does this work in 1.5?
Frostiken Mar 23, 2024 @ 9:14pm
Hey good to hear from you. It's my first mod, I only made it for myself but thought others could get use of it. Thank you so much for this mod, too.
velcroboy333  [author] Mar 23, 2024 @ 9:10pm
Yeah, it's cool. If you want to fork or do the patch, whatever. Just give credit where credit's due.

I won't be at a computer until Monday but I can look closer when I am.

I made a patch (kind of more an adaptation) that will make Anima Fruit compatible with both Anima Wood and Majestic Trees, by what I suggested below: I just made a whole-ass new tree that generates on map load and spits out fruit. So now you can have the anima fruit tree alongside the normal anima tree and the anima nexus trees, for MAXIMUM OVERANIMA.

The mod contains none of your content, only references to it, "except" for the new anima tree where I just applied your changes directly into the thingDef, and a second patch that undoes everything you did to the vanilla anima tree.

Let me know what you think Velcro, I hope everybody else finds this helpful!
Frostiken Mar 23, 2024 @ 12:13pm
@velcroboy333 - so I stumbled my way through learning how to do stuff, and I successfully forked your mod into a "standalone" sort of product for specific use with Majestic Trees and Anima Wood. What this does is just creates a new type of anima tree (just called 'fruiting anima tree' for now), using the vanilla graphics to make it visually distinct from normal Anima Trees and the Anima Gauranlen trees. It's obviously still using your growth graphics.

You can't meditate or grow grass, they just bloom fruits.

There's a new mapgen with it that places two per map.

It works perfectly fine alongside everything else.

... what can I do with this? It's currently for my personal use only.
Frostiken Mar 23, 2024 @ 1:38am
Oh, one idea to avoid the anima wood incompatibility is to have the fruit on this tree just "fall off" on its own (like real fruits do), so there's no harvesting involved at all.
Frostiken Mar 23, 2024 @ 1:14am
So, I really enjoy this mod, but I don't enjoy the limitations vis a vis other anima tree mods (anima wood, and the conmigo tree). So I guess I had a thought: what if you 'forked' this into a mod that was basically its own standalone anima flora product?

As in, a "new" anima tree (ie: the default texture you have) with a new name, that can't grow grass, but does bear fruit. So users of the conmigo tree and/or anima wood can have those trees for growing grass, but there's also the "lesser" fruiting trees like this that grow fruits.

Also the other anima fruit mod basically won't even load anymore so I guess you get the last laugh.
Fruitn Jan 29, 2024 @ 7:37am
It works, I got a psylink.
velcroboy333  [author] Jul 20, 2023 @ 10:28am
That's fair, let me know if you do. It sounds like a conflict with another mod. Usually I;m able to find a solution but I need logs to do so.
Damon_Vi Jul 20, 2023 @ 10:21am
i uninstalled the mod about a day ago. they were at 100%. they were shown as "harvestable", but in the sense they were fully grown to show they were able to be chopped down for maximum wood, not to "pick the fruit". i could try to reinstall the mod at a later time, but my ~750 mod list make startup take nearly 10-15 minutes, lol
velcroboy333  [author] Jul 17, 2023 @ 9:25pm
Send a game log, and open the debug window when you try to click on them look for any red errors that come up. Are they at 100%?
Damon_Vi Jul 17, 2023 @ 9:02pm
not entirely sure which mod is causing it, but the anima trees around my base are fully grown with fruit, but arent harvestable (by button or task), yet show "fully grown/harvestable" in the info card of each tree.
hottt3 Jan 31, 2023 @ 5:07pm
That's good to hear:steamthumbsup:
velcroboy333  [author] Jan 31, 2023 @ 4:44pm
I was able to find the issue with Replantable Trees and fixed it.
hottt3 Jan 31, 2023 @ 2:47pm
This mod makes "Replantable Anima Trees" mod as well as other mods that let Anima tree to be replantable not working. Please verify this and mention in the description.
Unfortunately I had to unsubscribe from this mod because of this, and the incompatibility with the Anima Wood mod. It's a shame, because I liked this mod.
velcroboy333  [author] Jan 31, 2023 @ 2:03pm
No, as I noted above, they conflict over the same node.

As for planting to grow another tree, that isn't implemented. But it's and interesting concept.
hottt3 Jan 31, 2023 @ 1:58pm
So, I can't use this and Anima Wood mod, can I?
hottt3 Jan 26, 2023 @ 7:07am
interesting, and you can plant this fruit to grow another anima tree, can't you?
velcroboy333  [author] Nov 18, 2022 @ 6:28pm
OK, uploaded proper gene icons. Should no longer get that error.
velcroboy333  [author] Nov 18, 2022 @ 1:38pm
Ok, thanks,I was able to reproduce the problem with that. I'll look into it soon.
TheSevenSins Nov 18, 2022 @ 11:51am
@velcroboy333 This is probable why the mod causes an issue: the game automatically generates a genes called "[drug name] dependency". what happens is that the game might be trying to make a anima fruit dependency gene but cannot find a image for it
velcroboy333  [author] Oct 30, 2022 @ 9:36am
This mod doesn't do anything with genes. The link you provided takes me to the VEF discussion. I'm a little confused. Are you in the right place?
Flint Oct 30, 2022 @ 9:03am
Hey the Mod is giving me a "small Error". When in Character Creation and in Xenotype Selection, I get an HugsLib Error when scrolling down to the "Drug"-Tab. The problem seems to be that your mod does not set an Icon for the Gene it sets.

velcroboy333  [author] Oct 29, 2022 @ 9:18am
So, yeah, I just tested again because I couldn't remember the specifics but when I tried to spawn an Anima Tree, it does not generate a texture and spams tons of errors.

Since Comigo does not accommodate for a fruit-bearing state, (or polluted states in 1.4 yet) it will not be compatible. One could petition them to create a texture for this if they are willing. Or I might be able to work with what they have at some point when I'm less busy with updating my other mods.
shane_357 Oct 28, 2022 @ 4:53pm
I understand that it's not compatible with Comigo, but how will it respond if I load them anyway? Will the game crash or will it just be texture fuckery?
velcroboy333  [author] Oct 21, 2022 @ 7:35pm
Oh, also, @lopy, I just looked at the mod you mentioned and I can't see any reason why they'd conflict. Did you try flipping the order around. It's a long shot but worth trying. But otherwise, we really aren't touching the same parts of the def so :demondeath:
velcroboy333  [author] Oct 21, 2022 @ 7:18pm
Updated for 1.4

New! Squeeze, filter, and cook the anima fruit to make anima juice! a beverage with reduced effects of the fruit and a chance to cause hallucinations!

Note: I changed the title to avoid the issues with Mod Manager and the other Anima Fruit mod.
Iopy Aug 21, 2022 @ 9:31pm
I appreciate it! I'm sure others will as well. :)
velcroboy333  [author] Aug 21, 2022 @ 9:27pm
It might take some time because I'm a little backed up right now but I will def take a look at that mod and see if there's anything I can do for compatibility.
Iopy Aug 21, 2022 @ 7:30pm
Having both this mod and the "Replantable Anima Trees" mod made it so the tree couldn't be extracted, moved and minified, but the Anima Fruit worked fine. Bit of an annoying conflict having to take this off to move the tree and then re-add it. This mod is even more useful now that Psycasts Expanded has been released! Would love for the 2 mods to be compatible but unsure if that'll be doable, fingers crossed.

Love the mod though, appreciate the time you spent creating it.
jgz Aug 21, 2022 @ 6:10am
I assume it did reset, I did it at the very start of the game though so it didn't matter. No other issues though so far.
velcroboy333  [author] Aug 20, 2022 @ 6:37pm
I imagine it resets the fruit growth? Or does it cause other issues?
jgz Aug 20, 2022 @ 5:54pm
Not compatible with "Replantable Anima Trees". You can however disable this mod, move the tree where you want it, then enable it again.
velcroboy333  [author] Feb 21, 2022 @ 8:50am
Note, changing the About name might affect other mods that may be trying to patch this mod in some way.
velcroboy333  [author] Feb 21, 2022 @ 8:44am
Alistair, I tried to find a workaround for this again but was unsuccessful. I do not plan to change the name of my mod. So, if this continues to be an issue for you or other users, you can

1) Change the About name in your local file,
2) Ask the author of the other Anima Fruit if they want to change the name of their mod.
3) Report the issue to Fluffy and see if there's something that can be done for this situation.
4) or use RimPy to sort your mods.
Alistair Feb 15, 2022 @ 1:51am
I just did a reinstall of the mod and it's still being misidentified by FMM, All I did to fix it on my end was edit the name in the about file if that helps you.
velcroboy333  [author] Feb 14, 2022 @ 10:41pm
I made a small edit to the Manifest file that Mod Manager uses. Hopefully that will resolve the issue.
Alistair Feb 14, 2022 @ 8:52pm
So unsure if this is just cause I use Fluffy's mod manager, but both this and the other anima fruit mod were being stacked into the same version(FMM was saying they are the same mod) it seems to be from them both being named the exact same, I manually edited one's name and that fixed it for me.
velcroboy333  [author] Jan 20, 2022 @ 9:26am
Yes, @Hades the King, they are compatible. And they function differently. So, they should work well together.
Hades the King Jan 18, 2022 @ 9:37pm
Is this compatible with the other anima fruit?
Felios Sep 18, 2021 @ 7:05pm
Wow, thanks! That's a great help
velcroboy333  [author] Sep 17, 2021 @ 11:26am
#Felios, I was having the same issue, which is what inspired this mod from Mlie...

I really love the flavor and mechanics of this mod! But is there any reason my colonists ignore food restrictions and consistently try to feed my prisoners anima fruit???
randomvortex Aug 11, 2021 @ 10:32pm
Alright I let the author of majestic trees know, hopefully they will add compatibility. Appreciate the quick response, keep on rockin the mod world!
velcroboy333  [author] Aug 11, 2021 @ 4:08pm
It looks like the way Majestic Trees is removing the Muli_Graphic class and replacing with their textures is making the mods incompatible. I can look into it in the next few days but it might come down to the author of that mod patching their texture into the immatureGraphicPath when this mod is loaded.
