i see thanks for the info

@Ren

Other players on the server also need to have the music addon loaded in order to hear songs from it.
Ren Jan 5 @ 12:57am
If I run the custom music add on will the music work for those arround me or will I be the only one able to hear the custom songs
Hubix  [author] Dec 30, 2024 @ 7:57am
@Drespect

Yes, but they also need to have the mod and song extensions loaded.
Drespect Dec 30, 2024 @ 2:27am
Do other players hear your music player?
Bandog Sep 6, 2024 @ 12:31pm
Alright thanks for the answer
Hubix  [author] Sep 6, 2024 @ 8:53am
@Bandog

Hey, glad you are liking the mod! To detach the radio from your player character you need to look directly down (since the radio is attached on characters stomach) and use interaction menu (not self interaction), then use the detach from object option.

As for the second question. Yes, you need to restart the game each time you change the song extension, it is so because arma needs to load the extension mod again to be aware of the changes you made.
Bandog Sep 5, 2024 @ 6:21am
additionally, do we need to restart the game everytime the extension file for adding your own custom songs is changed?
Bandog Sep 5, 2024 @ 6:15am
Amazing mod, just one question, how you remove the player from your character after attaching it to yourself? I dosent give me the option to remove it in the ace menu
Murphy Aug 28, 2024 @ 4:51am
Arma might have the strangest engine known to man lol I'll give that a go
Hubix  [author] Aug 24, 2024 @ 9:10am
@Murphy

Hmm, I'm not gonna lie, the audio control is totally jank. Try lowering the distance setting to a smaller value, like 50 instead of default 200, and check if it helps. It seems like distance isn't just some simple sound falloff modifier and affects the total volume in weird ways so lowering the distance might actually fix the volume issue.
Murphy Aug 21, 2024 @ 9:40pm
so I'm lowering the volume in the tool you made but it's still overwhelmingly loud the audio is peaking even and lowering it seems to do nothing am I just doing something wrong?
Hubix  [author] May 28, 2024 @ 3:16pm
@RufioBRoofus
No currently it's not possible

RufioBRoofus May 25, 2024 @ 12:41pm
Is there a way to get rid of the songs that come with the mod? So one can just play thier own music?
Hubix  [author] May 20, 2024 @ 7:08am
@SneakyMan

Hey, did you check whether the songs from song pack work in singleplayer? For example in Eden editor? The mod should work the same in multiplayer, that's how I used it.
SneakyMan May 13, 2024 @ 1:23am
Am I able to use this on my Multiplayer server? I have the mod and a song pack in my modlist and have uploaded both mods to my server with built in steam workshop compatibility. I have been able to place the radio, however, when I select a song it doesn't play. Does anyone know if this issue would be related to Pocket Music Player or the song pack I chose? Thanks
Hubix  [author] May 1, 2024 @ 5:55am
@Nuclear

Hmm, It worked for me, did you wait a little? As far as I remember antistasi updates arsenal in intervals, though it might depend on antistasi version. Does the radio appear in arsenal but is just not infinite? Or does it not appear at all? Remember to check misc item tab instead of the actual "radio" item tab in the arsenal. If it appears but is not infinite you could just add some crazy amount of it like 999 to arsenal and leave it like that.
Nuclear May 1, 2024 @ 5:29am
im having the problem with the radio not appearing in the arsenal on my antistasi server but the NSS thing dosent help atall sadly

Thnks!!

@RickGonzalez

Compatibility with FM radio has been fixed :)
Hubix  [author] Feb 20, 2024 @ 12:40pm
Hey,

Using it as a script would be possible, but it would require fiddling with adding custom actions to your jukebox, since this mod depends on ace to provide interactive functionalities and does so by using a custom class for the music player with all the interactions defined.

I think that a simplest solution would be to put the music player object inside of your jukebox object in the scenario. Then disable music player's simulation (so it doesn't collide with jukebox and stays inside of it) and then use attachTo to attach music player to the jukebox object from inside. Call like this: radio attachTo [jukebox]; should suffice to keep it inside. After doing this you should be able to access music player's interaction options through jukebox's model. It's a janky solution I know 😅 but it works well.
MrWickedKat Feb 20, 2024 @ 12:56am
is there a way to apply this as a script to a item in Eden editor? i have a jukebox and id love to use this on it
Hubix  [author] Feb 9, 2024 @ 4:40pm
Hello everyone!

I've updated the song extension creator, the new version is still janky but offers graphical interface, and an ability to adjust song volume and their hearable distance. Additionally song extensions can now be made to work with both Acoustic guitar mod and Pocket music player mod at the same time! In case you would not want certain extensions to be used by one of the mods you can choose so in the tool.

If you encounter any issues please let me know, the old versions of the tool are still available in case you would prefer to use them.
R. Gonzalez Feb 5, 2024 @ 7:09am
hhaha no problem my friend...

I'll stay tunned
Hubix  [author] Feb 5, 2024 @ 1:47am
@RickGonzalez

Oh crap it totally fell out of my backlog, yeah it shouldn't be a problem, It's a couple of lines on my end so I'll take a look. Sorry about that.

@Echo

Thanks for confirmation, it's an engine issue afaik so not fixable on my end.
R. Gonzalez Feb 4, 2024 @ 4:46pm
@Hubix

What about that "FM Radio" fix...? Will it be possible?
Echo Feb 3, 2024 @ 8:35am
@Hubix Yup, it does
Hubix  [author] Feb 3, 2024 @ 7:02am
@Echo Hey, Unfortunately I think it is arma's sound engine issue, thus making it outside of my ability to fix it. As I understand the issue appears when music player is playing a song while being attached to a vehicle moving at high speed?
Echo Jan 2, 2024 @ 8:00am
Possibility of fixing high speed song pitch issue?
Söze Sep 11, 2023 @ 7:15pm
@Hubix thanks for the reply, we did get it sorted shortly after I typed my question by doing it the way you said. The struggle for us was trying to find what it was actually called in Zeus but we did figure out. Cheers
Hubix  [author] Sep 11, 2023 @ 12:57pm
@† Söze †

Hey, there. You can try using a cheat console, like NSS Admin console for example to start up zeus without restrictions imposed by Antistasi. If the radio is still not visible in the storage dialog window of container spawned this way, you can try an alternative method, which is using NSS console to open an unrestricted virtual arsenal. Give yourself like 50 of Pocket music players and put them all in the arsenal provided by Antistasi. The mission will need a second before it adds music players as infinite to the arsenal. After that they should show up as infinite in the antistasi arsenal. You can remove NSS admin console from your modpack after you do this.

I've used the above methods to add uniforms provided by an unsupported mod to antistasi arsenal and unlocking them as infinite.
Söze Sep 10, 2023 @ 4:24am
Is there no way to add this into an Antistasi campaign? I spent ages making a playlist and the radios not only don't show up in the arsenal but I cant zeus it in because it doesn't show up in equipment
Hubix  [author] Mar 25, 2023 @ 12:53pm
@RicGonzalez I've verified the existence of the issue on my end, I'll try to fix it when I have some free time, but no promises when that happens, I'm quite busy lately and trying to spend less time at the PC.

Thanks for the kind words about the mod :LoveTalia:
R. Gonzalez Mar 22, 2023 @ 12:14pm
@Hubix

Tnks for the feedback!

Yep, both are normally loaded, the "FM Radio" option just don't appear in the interaction

About the "Arma Radio" mod, they've changed it's name to "Live Radio (Beta)", so there maybe has been a change os codes too....

Hope you can keep it up with it, it's a very nice feature! =)
Hubix  [author] Mar 21, 2023 @ 5:33am
@RicGonzalez Hey, thanks for reporting the issue, did you load up both Pocket music player and Arma Radio together? If yes then most likely the creators of Arma Radio must have changed some of their code which music player was using, thus making the the radio non functional.
I'll check it out later in my game to see if the issue persists.
R. Gonzalez Mar 20, 2023 @ 5:05pm
FM Radio option is not showing up, but "Arma Radio" mod is OK...
Hubix  [author] Feb 7, 2022 @ 12:00pm
Hi, could you please post the error message that you have received? I cannot identify the issue without it.
Katla Feb 3, 2022 @ 12:14pm
So when i use the creator for the radio it always gives me an a error and closes
Hubix  [author] Nov 7, 2021 @ 6:08am
@Black_Death Nope, currently there is no volume control in music player.
Henry Walker Nov 3, 2021 @ 11:37am
Does this radio have volume control?
diveyez Apr 5, 2021 @ 7:08pm
The radio is glitchy as hell.JIP hear music that we turned off, radios and players that are destroyed or killed constantly broadcast. This is a mess.
Hubix  [author] Apr 5, 2021 @ 1:09pm
@Sonnyd0613 By default there are only 3 songs included, they are a part of Arma 3 soundtrack. In order to get more songs you will need to load a song extension mod alongside pocket music player. You can either download an extension made by someone on steam workshop or create your own using extension creator tool. More info about extension creator tool is located in "Adding your own songs" section of mod's description. As an example of song extension you can check this mod out
Sonnyd0613 Mar 31, 2021 @ 11:10pm
what song are there
diveyez Mar 3, 2021 @ 3:07pm
The FM Radio stations, and the tool, are both defective.
Arma3 radio does not work at all right now. Let me know when this is working!
diveyez Mar 3, 2021 @ 2:17pm
I tested this with Arma3 Radio, it causes the before mentioned error.
I would love to help you get it working. I am also an engineer and producer. I would be more than happy to license some of my music for the radio.
diveyez Mar 3, 2021 @ 2:03pm
You have an error in your scripts. ~\scripts\stopradio.sqf line 7
No idea what the error is.
diveyez Mar 3, 2021 @ 12:56pm
Need a volume option.
Red Dog Feb 12, 2021 @ 10:23am
Even 500 wouldn't work. I'll have to try the other method and see if that works.
Red Dog Feb 12, 2021 @ 6:55am
I edited the file created by the extension creator. I tried changing it to 1000, my intention being so that it can be heard from helicopters to replicate the classic Apocalypse Now scene.
