MaPe1983, that's because loans are quite broken in the editor. As you said, they're set to start in Jan. 2020 but they're there from the start. This isn't something that can be changed, as far as I know. It's just that it can't process "future loans" for some reason.

but when I start a new carrer, the loan players which will be transfered during winter breake 19/20 (in my case as a cologne fan Uth, Leistner, Rexbejaj) are all in my squad from the beginning.

i cheked the update file in the editor and it shows loan start for all of these in january 2020 as it should be. but in game its wrong.

must I do something special or why are the loan players direct in my club?

this is the only thing i need to solve with this game, then it will be perfect for me.

m a bit new to this game and editor stuff. this is the best data update ive found during my search. thanks for this work, its amazing!

In short:

- Tomorrow last update 19/20 season
- 3 week gap to work on new update
- New update will be based on 20/21 season
- Promotions/relegations, direct transfers and new CL/EL teams (might not be in 1st of August update due to CL and EL not ending before that date)

Tomorrow we'll release another update. This will be the last one for the 19/20 season, but this doesn't mean it's the last update for FM20.

After tomorrow's update, I will work on changing "the season the update is based on." This means changing all the future transfers into direct transfers, ending the loans of the 19/20 season and adding in the new loans for the 20/21 season, doing all the promotions and relegations (where possible) and updating it to the new CL en EL teams. So when you start a save with our 20/21 update, the starting season in game (which is still 19/20 though) will have the squads and leagues of the real life 20/21 season.

We aim to release this update on the 1st of August, so that's about a 3 week gap between tomorrow's update and the following one. This is to make sure I can do all the transfers (since I work alone on it) and so I can test it and hopefully filter out some mistakes I made.

dammespoel, I don't know if it's possible. But this is how we always do it. At some point we change it from future transfers to direct transfers and we change the promoted/relegated teams aswell as the new CL and EL participants.

Is it normal for a season to be played before transfers take place?
First season 2019/2020 and then from 1/7/2020 the transfers.

Or can you change the date in the game so that the transfers take place immediately at the beginning of your career?

Hawkeye_EX, I saw your comment and checked, but couldn't find anything weird. I've checked again now, since you've given me some more info. Enrico Maaßen is taking over Dortmund II, which is correct. I thought I might've made a mistake with that in my update, but I checked and I haven't. He's supposed to take over Dortmund II in the update, which is weird that it causes Favre to leave and not replace him. I'm gonna experiment with this to see if I can get it to work like it should. Thanks for the info, please share if you find more of these weird things happening.

HanTykje, Coolen and Børven are both done in this update already. And we'll be regularly releasing updates throughout the summer. :)

I posted on the last update about the Dortmund manager issue, and it happened again. Looking at the in-game transfers with the update and it says that Enrico Maassen taking over as manager, but, according to Transfermarkt, Enrico is taking over Borussia Dortmund II and not the First team. This leaves the first team without a manager. Is there anything I can do?

So for these, do you just subscribe to the latest one? Or do I need to subscribe to 5th of June + Wener + Robben?

gazza1024, the .fmf should be fine, since it's been like that for a few years now, I think. Are you sure it's not working? The latest transfers are all set as future transfers, so it might look like it's the normal database, because the transfers have not taken place yet. Otherwise I wouldn't know what's wrong, looks like you're doing everything right.

I tried adding you but said your friends list is full lol, i have downloaded it and i go to load up the game its ticked in database and my version is 20.4.0 load up the game and its just the normal database. Other database downloads work the only thing i noticed different is this one is fmf the other ones are xml files but that shouldnt make a difference from what i have read! Any ideas mate?

sergio15448, there's no option to do that globally. And I don't think I can do all leagues and only one. And the season is ending quite soon, so I don't think it's really worth doing.

can you help us with an update on the competition rules that allow 5 substitutions as in real life, taking into account only 3 interruptions in the match, the editor does not allow this
