Magnus Resource Operations also gives a food boost to luxury resources which isn't in the description.

Great mod! Translated to Russian . By the way, could you add compatibility for CityLight? Right now this mod replaces Lyang's city parks promotion, causing her to not be able to build waystaions enhancements from CityLight.
HindeR Aug 28, 2023 @ 5:44am
Man, you can write that the governor (!) and not the city gives +4 (or +2 as I did because +4 is unbalanced in my opinion) in both files and you will get the desired result. So the description will be clearer. Good mod anyway.
Eps  [author] Aug 28, 2023 @ 1:35am
Yeah, I tried to set it to just 2, but then for some reason Grants didn't affect it? So to avoid confusion I hand-set it to 4, which is what players will be expecting.
HindeR Aug 27, 2023 @ 5:56pm
I read what is specified in GameDefines.xml. It says 4 and GameText.xml says 2. I'm talking about this. Anyway
Eps  [author] Aug 27, 2023 @ 1:50pm
Read the promotion directly above it.
HindeR Aug 27, 2023 @ 2:25am
Eps, Pingala in the description of the points of the engineer and scientist has +2 per turn, but in fact it gives +4. Check please
ToastyWombat Mar 25, 2023 @ 12:06pm
Yeah my bad its Suktritact's mod changing that specific promotion for some reason
Eps  [author] Mar 25, 2023 @ 1:56am
Like I said, I changed nothing about that promotion or the improvement. The change may be coming from a different mod?
ToastyWombat Mar 24, 2023 @ 11:00pm
I actually popped into a game to test this and it looks like the in-game text effect listed below is correctly implemented. The effect is just so drastically different from the default implementation I thought it wasn't working, my bad. Is there a reason you changed it? It's honestly a nerf versus the default implementation.
ToastyWombat Mar 24, 2023 @ 6:45pm
The in-game description of Liang's Aquaculture promotion does not match the description on the Civ6 wiki so something must have been changed.

The wiki says:
+1 food
+1 additional food for each adjacent sea resource
+0.5 housing
+1 production if liang is in the city

The in-game description with your mod says:
+1 housing
Fishing boats adjacent to fishery yield +2 food
+1 production if Liang is in the city

Those are pretty wildly different. But those changes are not you?
Eps  [author] Mar 24, 2023 @ 2:01pm
My mod changes nothing about the promotion or the improvement, so I think it would be on Suktritact's end?
ToastyWombat Mar 24, 2023 @ 1:08pm
The fisheries from Liang dont seem to be working with Sukritact's Oceans mode. Not sure if its this mod or that mod causing the issue.
Eps  [author] Mar 19, 2023 @ 3:23am
Yes. By getting to the end of the Civics tree and running the Future Civic repeatedly. Each time you finish it you get an extra governor title.
ToastyWombat Mar 18, 2023 @ 10:44pm
Are you still able to get all of the promotions eventually?
Eps  [author] Feb 19, 2023 @ 8:52am
That's the goal. I don't want anything to be an auto-pick.
Nandybear Feb 19, 2023 @ 8:11am
WHY DOES THAT SOUND SO SARCASTIC lmao. I meant it sincerely!
Nandybear Feb 19, 2023 @ 8:11am
I love where you've put it because I wouldn't normally go with that tree, I'd go with the right tree for the settler boost. So now it puts me in a position to choose do I want easier settlers or units ? And if I want both, do I want to give up extra builders and fisheries ? It's awesome, I much prefer having to "sacrifice" something rather than just being able to do everything.
Nandybear Feb 19, 2023 @ 6:33am
Oh brilliant, nicely done mate.
Eps  [author] Feb 19, 2023 @ 4:35am
I implemented it. Along with a few other extra changes.
Nandybear Feb 16, 2023 @ 5:53am
That's a really good idea, as I rarely if ever think of using it otherwise; by that point in the game I'm not wanting for resources and a production bump of 2, by the point of having power plants, is almost a rounding error!

Although I play on huge with wide empires, and I understand some policies are better catered to smaller games.
Eps  [author] Feb 15, 2023 @ 6:25am
I'm leaning more towards combining that effect into Industrialist, to give that promotion a use in the early and mid-game.
Nandybear Feb 15, 2023 @ 2:57am
Losing Black Marketeer is a massive hit, especially when suddenly put on a war footing - 20 iron per knight for instance. Even when owning quite a few mines, I can only build one at a time. Could do with a policy card or something to help the loss of this.
Sexy Skaven Rat Jan 24, 2023 @ 4:54pm
Oh I see, very nice, the possibilities are limitless with Liang
Eps  [author] Jan 22, 2023 @ 3:24am
The settler buff stacks with the policy card to result in +100% production towards settlers. When Liang moves, the extra district you built remains, but you have to wait for 6 extra population rather than 3 to build a new one.
Sexy Skaven Rat Jan 21, 2023 @ 10:26pm
Nice changes, Reyna makes a lot more sense now. Vanilla governors seem very lacking except for Pingala and Magnus. Reyna and Mokshas district purchase abilities at lvl 2 are really nice, i feel like if you have enough resources you should be able to spend them on districts.

A question about Magnus 50% settler discount: how does that work with 50% settler discount policy card?

And what happens with an extra district if I move Liang somewhere else?

Also free parks for everyone!
Eps  [author] Jan 21, 2023 @ 4:03am
Pingala's vanilla abilities make him an auto-pick for most players, which I want to avoid.
i bad at game Jan 20, 2023 @ 2:54pm
Very nice buffs but the pingala nerf stings..

Also, its Water Mill not Water Wheel.
Eps  [author] Sep 26, 2022 @ 2:29am
That would take quite a lot of work, in the form of ID replacement.
skymance Sep 25, 2022 @ 12:41pm
question, i have been looking to just add more governors. would be cool to add these to the regular set of ones
DeadWeatherDrums May 19, 2022 @ 7:39pm
Okay, thanks, I'll check out the later two. From what I've observed, CQUI is kind of considered The UI Ring That Rules Them
Eps  [author] May 19, 2022 @ 2:15am
I use the following:
Hillier Hills
Extended Policy Cards (+ Better Report Screen)
Sukritact's Simple UI Adjustments
CQUI
DeadWeatherDrums May 18, 2022 @ 9:32pm
Flactline has a mod called Enable All Governors that let's you use all the extra Governors you load into a game. I haven't used it yet but when I do I'll report back.

Oh, btw, in your screenshots above, Eps, you left off Moksha.

Here's a side question, bud: So if I were to just primarily use your collection here as a way to improve and differentiate my Civ 6 experience after playing with all the Firaxis DLCs and now dabbling in mods, are there any other mods you consider - from all your playing, plus mod compatibility experience - are really worth additionally having on a general game-to-game basis? Obviously I'm not saying recommend certain modded civs, leaders, or unit expansions like WE or major expansions like City Lights, per se, (though feel free to) but off the top of your head do you have a Top 5 or 10 or 20 you'd recommend?
Ceejay May 6, 2022 @ 12:07am
Making me have to think due to provision not being available!
DeadWeatherDrums Apr 25, 2022 @ 7:42pm
Sounds like it, yes, but I'm clueless. You're the modder, what do you think? There's a mod (I believe it's called....Great Believers) that adds this class of GP. There's civs and mods that
add Governors. So in my little theory world it's easy. But in the real world...? Je nes sais pas. What do you think, guvna?
Eps  [author] Apr 25, 2022 @ 8:13am
Sounds likt it would be as simple as removing a few fields on a few database lines.
DeadWeatherDrums Apr 25, 2022 @ 3:30am
Very cool and intelligent mod, and much appreciated. I will be using it.

Q: Is there a way, or a mod, that would allow us either to use or swap out some of the Governors in other civs (Grand Vizier comes to mind) and/or created by other modders? Lots of fun playability and creativity with that option. I mean, if there are mods that can add an entirely new Great Person (and a corresponding slot on the GP screen) then surely it could be done with Governors. As to how easy it is......that I do not know because I'm not a modder. Though I did learn Basic about 40 years ago......
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon Mar 28, 2022 @ 2:24pm
Sorry didn’t see your response to SilentShadow, my bad. I was on Mobile I can’t see all comments unless I scrolled down.
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon Mar 28, 2022 @ 2:22pm
Hello there Eps, could you possibly add compatibility for JNR’s Expanded Alliances which grants Liang a really cool Trawler Improvement that this mod sadly overwrites.

Not a major issue, but I would like to use both the Trawler and the Better Governors offered by this mod, though I prefer the Governors from this mod more.
Snootch Jan 24, 2022 @ 3:19pm
I'd like an easy guide for how to tweak these in ModBuddy, if you found the time. Also, I'd love to have access (for my Civ only!) of something like the Grand Vizier that only the Ottomans currently get. (Like making my own "Grand Vizier!") Yeah, I'm a cheater. Thanks for your consideration.
Arcadian Jul 2, 2021 @ 4:36am
A suggestion. Since you removed culture from Pingala, there is no governor that promotes culture. You could make Moksha a Faith/Culture governor, which would make him more versatile and not just an option for religious civs.
Destiny's Bastard Child May 30, 2021 @ 7:23am
This is one of the coolest mods I've seen yet. Choosing governors was so routine and boring; now I actually have to think - carefully - about which to use when! Makes the game much more interesting and dynamic, and really breathes the life into the mechanic that the game creators really should have. I can't thank you enough!
Eps  [author] Apr 21, 2021 @ 2:30am
Don't think so. Both mods change promotion order and effects.
Silentshadow Apr 20, 2021 @ 7:43pm
Coming from Potato's newest video. can a compatability patch be made between this and JNR alliances expanded?
god of being bad at everything Mar 6, 2021 @ 12:53am
xd i still wish you never removed provision but ok
R.E.D Feb 4, 2021 @ 5:56am
Great mod, much better balance and choices.
watsface Aug 28, 2020 @ 2:04am
I've added a few of your tweak mods and really enjoying testing them out. This mod in particular — I didn't realize how banal bee-lining to Provision was. Even just that minor change opens up much more varied early governor strategies. Great work.
Eps  [author] Aug 5, 2020 @ 8:44am
Already fixed that typo. The screenshot is old.
jjj Aug 5, 2020 @ 7:27am
50 produciton toward sellters

Can you change Victor's Defense Planes "enemy spies 3 levels below" to Black Marketeer Strategic resources for units are discounted 80% from Magnus?
