Wont work. I cant put a sonography room in this MOD or Urology or The Vagina Doctor one. No matter what I do it says they are missing equipment and shows the exam table as the issue. I tested it and put like 10 in one room and still shows missing equipment and wont work. The only mod that does work is the ENT MOD.

Kidney surgery bug is killing my game. I do not want to remove the mod, so if there is a method for it not to flood the notifications, please help me... I have other department mods installed as well as some cosmetic ones. But even though I have a fully functioning Urology and Nephrology department and fully functioning General Surgery, ICU departments, my patients keep on getting cannot get Kidney Surgery pop-up flooding the notifications. I switched it to "log", so it is not stopping the game but still it is very very annoying.

@TeenagedLime3, ah i think you just need to let the mod load last in add on load order. This problem happen if there's conflicting mod or addon that alter DiagnosisSURG.xml such as "Realistic Collapses and Disease Incidence" by butch but not alter Surgery.xml, it will change diagnosis department assignment but not the treatment.
So if you let it load last, those diagnoses wont come unless you build Urology department. Hope this help. Cheers :D

To everyone unable to complete the kidney surgery due to lack of a department, I seem to have patched an xml file so it works.
1 -> find the ModSurgery.xml inside the mod folder (for me its at D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\868360\2137734594\Database\ModSurgery.xml)
2 -> replace the bottom section between AND INCLUDING <!-- Trauma nephrectomy --> and </GameDBTreatment> with

I have commented out the lines that state this treatment should require the modded department. You can repeat this for other surgeries in this file by replacing

<SkillRef>SKILL_DOC_SPEC_UR_SURGERY</SkillRef>

with

<SkillRef>SKILL_DOC_SPEC_OPERATIVE_SURGERY</SkillRef>

and

<SkillRef>SKILL_DOC_SPEC_UR</SkillRef>

where appropriate


this should fix the issues. save the ModSurgery.xml file and restart the game.

Why do people need kidney surgery if I don't have this department yet? I can't get some objectives (the one to stay more than 1 day without untreated patients) because these cases keep showing up.

I’m having a problem where patients cannot have PCR or biopsy selected within the department or by transferring the patient to a different department.

This mod causes a problem with renal failure. If I have a general surgery only hospital I cannot prescribe dialysis although having one there in the department as this diagnosis is moved to a department I do not have. It says I would need Urology for this (which is quite logical, but if I get the patient because I have a general surgery and cannot treat him this is bad). If renal failure is urology now I should only get it, when having hospitalization at urology. Currently, I get it at general surgery with no urology present at the hospital.

Hi there, got a bunch of mods installed so something else may be messing with it but when people come in with Renal Laceration it gets flagged as General Surgery department for Kidney Surgery, but Kidney Surgery requires Genitourinary surgeon/Urology dept. If I catch it in I time I send them to Urology and everything works out but if the patient collapses they get sent to ICU and they are unable to do the surgery because ICU is saying it doesn't have doctors and nurses available (as they need the genitourinary specialisation). Patient has already collapsed so they are stuck in ICU until they die or I manually send them away.

When i go to build the required room's for the department it doesn't appear in the menu but yet i see that that there is an urology department in the bottom left on screen but not in the building menu.. Am i doing something wrong or do i have to individually build each room for the department instead of prefab's?

The German translation doesn't contain a translation for the last update with diagnoses, these are the trauma diagnoses, Nephrology posters and the Clear cell renal cell carcinoma diagnoses.

Thats because the dialysis machine would the be on the place where normally the bedside table would be. That could be a problem for the nurses. Also I think it is an extra challenge to build an dialysis ward this way, it gives it something unique.

Oh sorry I forget one thing, I should tell you an other issue I have.
As i'm playing the game in french, when I need to do a dialysis, there's two Dialysis treatments, one in english and one in french. And it always interfer between them, one is available and the other is not, but sometimes the one requested is not available because the other has been already made but it's not resolving the patient disease.

Btw thank you for all your work and I hope you'll find the time to achieve this wonderful project ! :D

Do you know why sometimes there is no diagnostics for a patient, sometimes it just tell me that the patient is waiting for a diagnostic but not any appears. I just have kidney symptoms and I need to do a shockwave lithotripsy but that's all...
Maybe an issue somewhere and I don't know what to do with those guys now except moving them to an other hospital ^^

Any reason the dialysis machine is behind the bed and not right next to it? A bit of wasted space doing it like that.

Thanks for the response! Updates are no worries. None of this work was done manually. I wrote a scraper program that runs through whatever files I give it and it formats and outputs all the information on diagnoses.

My surgeons had a hard problem doing surgeries. It never queued up some of them even though others went through. Had plenty of nurses and doctors.

Hi, I think there's a problem with the Dialysis treatment. When I send a patient to the urology dept, the dialysis treatment become dark, and it's written that this treatment is not available in this dept. Then I can move the patient in any dept and it will allow me to execute the dialysis. But once the patient is in the choosen dept, it will tell me that it's not the good dept.
Kinda disturbing....
Because all the dialysis devices are in the urology dept so I don't understand the problem here...

Yes, I cannot perform a shock wave lithotripsy. The game believes the equipment is missing. I strongly believe a bug from the mod.

Ok thanks, I think this might be an issue with the mod, in that the general surgery department can't treat the diagnosis despite having the correct equipment.
