Would it be possible to give soldiers only one random psi ability after undergoing psi training?
I have edited the XComLatentPsionics.ini to have 17 different Psi ability trees, all with one ability that I cannot show because of character limit on comments.
I did it in hopes that a random tree would be selected, but it ends up being the top one 100% of the time. The only solution I could think of is to specify each tree to a class, but I use rpgo that has one class for all specializations, so it's not an option.

Would you be able to create a console command to force remove psi gift, or make psi slot have have it empty?

I had one conflicting bug where in Doom Slayer class mod, equiping psi amp first time will cause to remove his ripjack or rocket launcher.
I want to make psi slot empty but cannot.
I had the previous version installed, along with Psionics Ex Machina. Is it possible to have this mod and Psionics Ex Machina installed? I read the description, but figured I would ask - how painful is it to get this version working in place of the other mid-game?

Great mod. Gets it closer to the old way and I love that. One issue and maybe it's just me doing it wrong but "ResetPsiAbilityOptionsForSelectedSoldier" doesn't seem to do anything no matter where I input the command.

Is there any way to make the soldier's training not be in the psi chamber?
Are the skills unlocked with the soldier's normal level?
Something more like XCOM 1, where you unlock the psionic skills by leveling up the soldier and not putting him in the psi chamber

Hello All! I am playing this with RPGO and I have the issue that I can only train the faction heroes, but not ordinary soldiers. Do any of you know what can be the issue?
"Hello everyone! I have a problem with the mod, when training Psi Operatives, for some reason not all abilities are available. The entire ability tree is unavailable, specifically the later ones. I'm playing on LWOTC. What could be the issue?"

@vinistrifezza What I am doing is changing the chance in the config to 0 and then chose the soldiers, who shall receive the gift, myself with the ForcePsiGiftForSelectedSoldier command

@vinistrifezza go to the XComPsiampSlot.ini in config and change ability from TheGift to Insanity. This way the psiamp won't be given to any soldier that hasn't been trained in the psi lab.

Do anyone know how this mod interacts with other mods that have weapons/armor that are only meant to be used by the "psi ops" class? This mod disables that class right? So like how would the "vorpal gatling gun" from armored viper mod or the psi armor work with psionics from this mod, are they still treated as psi ops after they enter the lab?

Is there any way to remove "the gift" from a soldier? I'm using the XCOM EW mech mod, but one of my mechs is the Psion, and I didn't want that XDXD
By the way, excellent mod! I really wish we could level up psionic powers in combat, with battle experience and not inside the chamber, but I'm happy with what we have XD

@vinistrifezza - you get a base class (ie heavy, sniper, etc.) who has psionic powers, like in X-Com 1, but they do have access to all the powers in the X-Com 2 tree (and a bit more).

Heya, I got a problem with the command "ResetPsiAbilityOptionsForSelectedSoldier".
It doesn't matter, where I use it, it doesn't do anything. Is there some trick to it?

Hey guys, I have some questions about this mod...

1. In this mod, psionics will work like in XCOM 1, that's what it says in the description... however, the question I have left is whether the number of psionic skills will be limited to just the 6 that we have access to in XCOM 1, or if we have access to the entire skill tree of the psion from XCOM 2

2. Another question is whether when the recruit is revealed as a psion, he becomes only a psionic class or if he can be like in XCOM 1 where the soldier is a heavy class with psionic powers (for example)... basically the question is whether I can, for example, make a ranger with psion powers

3. And the last question I have is whether psion powers are trained only in the psion chamber or will they be gained by using them in battle, like in XCOM 1... in short, whether they evolve in the psion chamber or if they evolve the powers with combat and uses of psion powers?

i have a bug where one of my psi lab slots is filled with a unit that's no longer in it i cant remove him and also removing kicking him from the avenger dose not fix the issue is there a command to reset the psi lab slots

Is there any way to control probability and conditions on which Psionic Classes can be set for which soldiers? I had some ideas I wanted to cobble together, but some might not work well. For example, a "Paladin" class that borrows from the Warrior of the Holy Light and the Chaplain mods, but some of the abilities I want to give it are melee focused - so it would be fine to give to a ranger, a samurai, an RPGO soldier with melee weapons... but not so much for a grenadier with no sword slots.

in the XComPsiampSlot.ini config you can find a line "+AbilityUnlocksPsiAmpSlot=TheGift" .. put a ";" (semi-colon) before that line

This mod is really cool! Is there a way to disable the psi-amp slot? My mod setup is balanced around the fact that the utility slot can be used to equip (nearly) any secondary, including psi-amps, so having an explicit psi-amp slot alongside free psi powers feels a bit overpowered. As for now, I just kinda refuse to use it, but it'd be nice to have it disabled.

Grizzly, getting WOTC is like two dollars when its on sale. If you can't find a license on steam, you could probably buy an upgrade code from a third party website for the same price. LWOTC is better than LW2 anyway.

I know WOTC is listed as required but is there any chance of a non-wotc version? (or does it work without wotc? or does anyone know of a similar mod for the base game?) I'm a big fan of og LW2 and creating my soldiers, I just never enjoyed the idea of soldiers with pre-set backstories so I never used WOTC

I've recently encountered a bug where it crashes when trying to launch saying

Can I suggest a configuration for character template names to exclude robotic soldiers and guaranteed the gift and psion type tree for specific soldiers like asari from allies unknown mod.

Odd issue and I'm not sure if its a problem on my end
I have this mod, the other classes (Biotics, Chaplin, and Expanded) as well as the plugins, but I never get a biotic or a chaplin, I tried forcing one to be a biotic, after training he got the barrier, but none of the abilities, they are all basic psion abilities
Also for some reason they never go beyond tier 3 psionics, I have adapt, mystic, and magus columns and then three empty columns with nothing in them all labeld magus

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? and does anyone know how to fix it?

@Maebalzurakin if you can find the XComLatentPsionics config file for the Mod (for me it was D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2134513735\Config) there's an option to turn the Purple names back on

How do I get the purple names back? I found it very helpful. Currently I am appending (PSI) to their names, so I know who has the powers.

I keep getting a crash after "hasPsiAmpSlot called" in logs. Unable to touch a soldier in the armory and back out to avenger without this error. Anyone else experience this? I'll Try replacing this with Foxcom and see if I still crash.

If an added class, already has a psi-amp as a secondary, would it still add a dedicated psi-amp slot? If so, how would I edit the XComLatentPsionics.ini ?

Would it still say "ApplyToSlot=eInvSlot_PsiAmp" or "ApplyToSlot=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon"?

Suggestion. You can make it so that in the psi laboratory can train psionic classes in the same way as normal ones in Guerrilla Tactics School. I want to train specific units into specific classes. Can create own psi classes. And now it’s absolute randomness.

Yes. This mod does not account for PCS' that have the PsiOffence stat, or offer a method to override the base game handling of those PCS, they are hardcoded to the 'original' PsiOperative.

I mean.. 6 gifted thats a socom navy seal unit right there, I did notice that characters you start with have a higher chance of PSI ability on fresh starts and thus maybe you changed the code for new game starts and the gift "chance" is still the same.

is it possible to set latent psionic unlock change to 100%? I try change the psi_chance to 100 in config but it doesn't work, out of 20-30 recruit only 6 of them acquire 'the gift' perk after I build the psi lab, plz help

What happens if I remove the mod before the Psi lab is finished building?

Do soldiers gain access to additional abilities as they rank up their normal class? The max any of my soldiers have been able to learn so far has been 3. There's also 3 empty columns all labeled magus at the end of the psionics tree. Wondering if this is on purpose or there is something wrong with my config?

For the Psionic gear mod issue. Kiruka has a way around it. Mod jam has a built in config/scrip that assigns the item (the psionic reaper in this case) to any character who hats "The Gift" trait.

This mod gives me an infinite loading screen on the second mission. While on the Skyranger the mission briefing doesn't trigger and stays on the black loading screen with the spinning Xcom symbol. I have no other psi-mods installed nor any other mods I'd think would cause any compatibility issues, but it have given me a load of frustration trying to solve these last two days. Both this and the standalone version.

Would love to get it to work for a subsequent playthrough or later in the game before researching psionics. But for now I uninstalled it to get to play the game.

It seems like when you start psion training on a soldier if they have the templar gauntlets equipped from the psionic melee mod they become bugged, and the game will not let you re-equip them after training is finished as it already thinks they are using them.

This mod doesnt allow anyone to equip a pistol on the dedicated pistol slot. Soldiers that are not psionics dont get said slot and soldiers that do cant equip a pistol. Any workarounds?

I try to run this with LWOTC. I can get psions and train them but their psi skill is not displayed and thay are not allowed to use psi PCS as if the gemae does not recognice them correctly.
Has anybody experianced this before or has an Idea what config file I should have to look at?
