as far as map sizes, current focus is to just get the changes to work on the one we have now, though I do want to make other smaller versions later to be posted on workshop.

having trouble trying to figure out modbuddy and getting what changes we already coded to show up in the game. Considering I don't have the original modfile/mapfile on my current computer (og was posted years ago) we may end up needed to start from scratch again :/

Nice map, not enough desert maps in the workshop (as far as I can tell). Please consider having a standard size map in the future!

An idea for the sandworms. Realistic Meteors mod changed what was left behind after meteor strikes, perhaps use the same method to change the remains of meteor strikes to be spice luxury resources, and make the meteor strikes occur more frequently. It would replicate the danger of of worms by destroying anything on the tile, and leave behind "melange" in their wake

The books do reference their being habitable zones on both northern and southern poles (maybe you could add one in the south too?). Arrakeen was located in the north as was most of the tribal sietches but no ones really knew about the south or mentions it due to the rest of the planet (besides the poles) being inhabitable deserts. Just a thought. Friggin Canada spawns in the northern oasis everytime :'(

The book described the Northern half of Arakkis as semi-habitable while the Southern half as uninhabitable, therefore that was the reasoning for the placement of oasis in the northern parts only. Besides that I didn't base this map on anything specific.

Is this based at all on the map in the books? Seems just like a random desert map with an oasis in the north. Any full map pics to compare to Herbert's map? The lack of Dune related mods for VI is disappointing. Thanks!
