Could the quiver get more storage slots? 9 arrows makes it pretty much useless compared to a wooden backpack which takes 144 and barely affects archers

I wonder if you could tell me the Stack multiplier stats for each backpack? it's an important info in my opinion who is missing from the descriptive screenshot with their stats.

It would be cool to be able to know this info, for the modded backpack as the vanilla one, without any need of looking to the wiki page :/
I didn't found any mods who offer a QoL for this and I supose that adding this stat in the name of each backpack isn't a possible solution, maybe it could lead to save issues for peoples who already have the mod and curent save.

now that is much more complicated. in vanilla kenshi npc often don't have enough money to buy anything from the player besides some dried meat or other food. there are some mods that make npc get higher payouts and add more items to the poll of wanted items by them. i think it would be possible to add a patch to one of such mods to include these backpacs and they should wear it. at least I know they do equip weapons bought from the player, so maybe they would equip the backpacks as well.

but all in all, i think it's too complicated and the fact that it can actually appear impossible after hours of modding makes me thing it's not worth it simply.

another question, do the npcs eventually start buying these backpacks to vendors and start wearing them or its just for the player squad to wear

in FCS you would need to find the character or the squad that you want to have these backpacks and edit their inventory. If you struggle, try to find a character that has any backpack in the game and then see how exactly the backpack is added to them. from the top of my head i think that the shinobi traders have backpacks, smugglers and manhunters in border zone.

Hah, sorry it's completely made up. But I guess I could take some inspiration from The Last of Us, the game not the piece of ♥♥♥♥ show. Joel had a backpack that the design I like and one could say, I made the best looking backpack in my opinion as the best you can get :D

I've tried that, only items in the bag slot act as backpack. Even if it would work, you would still have conflict with the backpack, the game just wouldn't know which one to prioritize.

The quivers I made are more of a roleplay item than an actual gameplay feature. They aren't ment to be used together with backpacks. I made this mod for myself at first and I hated that every character needs a backpack because otherwise they aren't usefull. I did fail to communicate it in a clear way in the description.

Unfortunately Kenshi applies stack modifier to all the items, there's no way to separate this, so the backpack and the quiver would only be visual.

that does give me access to it. but i will have to test with some bandits to see if the bolts get acessed. I wonder if it is possible to make a backpack that already has a quiver attached and only the bolts can stack to 5+

I think the game prioritizes the backpack that was put in it's slot as last one. Simply left clicking to 'pick it up and drop again' should do the job, although I'm not sure as I tested that years ago now.

Hi there, I love your mod; do I have permission to integrate it into my own modpack and mod? The only thing I'm changing is the construction and recipe costs: I replaced the raw iron with a new scrap iron item that you can either mine from those TechRustyJunk and TechWreck FOLIAGE_MESHes, or find in some vendor lists.

Hm, I think it was set in the backpack window and not research window. Honestly, I haven't touched FCS for 3 or more years, can't really help you but I hope I nudged you in the right direction! :holyflame:

I'm trying to edit the research to allow all of the backpacks to be crafted but can't find the research in the mod editor. What am I missing? Also, if someone can do just that and post the mod to the workshop it'd be just swell, I say. :steamhappy:

Can't shoot with quiver equipped and filled with bolts. In short, models of all quivers look beautiful but they don't work half of the time or are false in their description. I would avoid this until someone hopefully makes a fix.

Small Bolt Quiver can carry only 1 stack of heavies.

Improvised Leather Quiver says it can carry regular bolts but that's not true. It has only space for toothpicks.

Hm, it should work right away without importing, though be aware that you need to wait at least 48 hours so the store refreshes and the items are available for purchase. Unless you have a mod that refreshes the stores more often that is. Crafting should be available right away, but bear in mind that crafting for backpacks wasn't really finished by the game dev and it works kind of silly (no crafting time, they are made instantly)
