Interesting mod

By the way, please describe this mode in more detail? I don't know exactly what is different with other mods such as 'reduce attack interval'.

and you are right. most unit mods are missing an own entity and weapon stats. just a copy and paste of existing units. so most units are just a mirror with other stats of another already existing unit. hope some more modders would keep that in mind

i ever wondered why CA is doing it like this. never made sense. thanks for this

Units and their weapons are two separate data. A "weapon" in this game is basically an excel entry that says that when a unit finishes its attack animation, how much AP/Non-AP damage should it do, the maximum entities damaged by area of effect, how quickly before the unit can attack again, and other things.

The weapon entry itself has nothing to do with what the unit uses or how its animations look. Each unit has its own custom entry. For example, Greatswords will have a line in there that looks like:

wh_greatsword_weapon

followed by a bunch of numbers that determines the damage done when a unit with this weapon.

Contrary to tabletop where great weapons were just +2S and ASL (if you've played TT) and equipping great weapons to other units produced the same buffs on those units.

If someone made a custom unit, they'll probably have their own custom weapon entry to be able to fine tune their own creation.

Sorry not too familiar with this concept, as I have never dealt with anything involving weapon stats / dmg.

So if a custom unit uses a sword, this mod won't change (or work) anything? To me units just use 1h sword 2h (great) sword spear etc etc but from what I gather from what you said then a custom unit has a custom sword...is that correct?

Only vanilla + DLC ones. No modded units. It's a custom edit of all melee weapons so if a custom unit uses its own melee weapon, that won't work.

As its the weapon stats rather than the units stats that are being changed I would have thought it would apply custom units too, but I could be wrong.
Probably am wrong xD

Hello, is it an update for all game units or only the vanilla ones ?
