3.03 update available here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2503707495

This version is being kept for legacy support.
Tiasson May 31, 2021 @ 12:13pm
I have tried it in 3.03 and it actually seems to work as it should :-)
Zero May 31, 2021 @ 10:40am
Really good mod that adds very important thing that paradox ignored for years. Hope you will find time to continue it.
SG7 May 20, 2021 @ 1:34pm
Am I the only one this didn't break for? At least I haven't noticed anything broken yet.
labowski1 May 11, 2021 @ 9:15pm
We all know life is hectic, but I'm looking forward to the update, love this mod!
Anticitizen May 8, 2021 @ 6:23am
I need this in my life.
Carl Hamilton May 8, 2021 @ 4:47am
looking forward to the update
Tiasson May 6, 2021 @ 12:22am
Imho life is pretty important, despite this being one of the best mods in existence; take your time!
PrettyAverage  [author] May 5, 2021 @ 3:09pm
Unfortunately haven't found time to play Stellaris since February ish... life's hectic.
Alzara May 5, 2021 @ 8:15am
How goes the update? :)
Magister Sagittarum Apr 29, 2021 @ 2:18am
This mod + RS + PD = perfect Stellaris experience.
Woodwyrm Apr 20, 2021 @ 2:52am
Yeah take your time updating your mod, it'll be shite not playing with Wild Space but I'll wait.
Carl Hamilton Apr 18, 2021 @ 8:00am
This looks so good, I am sad I only discovered this after the new update. I look forward to the update and god speed.
JohnMcHobo Apr 18, 2021 @ 5:35am
Take your time, looking forward to it.
PrettyAverage  [author] Apr 18, 2021 @ 3:41am
Doesn't surprise me at all. I am planning to update, but am without a computer for at least two weeks and don't have any free time generally for a while. So is likely to take me at least a month to update. Some of the new features do present opportunities to significantly improve how the mod works though.
JohnMcHobo Apr 17, 2021 @ 7:48am
Sadly but not very surprisingely with the new Update Wildspace seems to cause a CTD upon starting a new game.
BurningTemplar Apr 16, 2021 @ 5:27am
This is one of the best mods for stellaris
TheoAllen Apr 15, 2021 @ 2:58pm
I will play 3.0.1
I will replay the game when this mod gets updated.
Thank you for your hard work.
PrettyAverage  [author] Apr 15, 2021 @ 4:04am
I will be very surprised if it doesn't need updating.
TacJohnzo Apr 14, 2021 @ 8:52pm
Love this mod, will this version be compatible with the 3.0.1 release of Stellaris?
Ajax2287 Apr 2, 2021 @ 2:48pm
i love the idea of this but i made a race that is from the core. could we get an update to have some habitable planets in the core
SquigglyV Mar 31, 2021 @ 10:07am
Is there any way to increase the frequency of black holes outside of the core? I am using this with the empty core submod and there's only three black hole systems in a 600 star galaxy.
TakaraYukari Mar 21, 2021 @ 2:05am
i really like these mods, simple and great. Maybe you can give us one more option that allows more than half of all systems being this uncolonisable spaces?
fredrowe234 Mar 19, 2021 @ 3:30pm
Thank you for the mod! Any chance you can make a Wild space heavy version that does the opposite of the lite one?
Kadatherion Mar 17, 2021 @ 1:12pm
Unfortunately it appears that SMCO (and relative patch) aren't compatible anymore. Tried with different load orders (managed through the much more reliable irony mod manager), it either crashes at game's start or when generating a (usually big, seemed to work more often with smaller ones) wild space map.

Granted, I've got a pretty large modlist, so it could be the result of some multiple interaction, perhaps with Real Space or some other aesthetic mod too: still, without SMCO everything in Wild Space seems to work fine for me.
Lycores Mar 15, 2021 @ 9:12am
This mod is really great in concept
PrettyAverage  [author] Mar 14, 2021 @ 1:56am
maps named linked nebulae spawn lots of small nebulae rather than a few bug ones. They can overlap so you'll get different shapes / geography every time.

Works fine with RS and PD
MixedMethods Mar 14, 2021 @ 1:42am
What's the intended difference between the linked Nebula and wild space size selections?
Teamson Mar 13, 2021 @ 6:58pm
How would this work with planetary diversity, real space etc?
PrettyAverage  [author] Mar 8, 2021 @ 2:02am
Agree. When I get round to the next update (Def not before 2.9) I'm planning on making it the standard for all sizes. Don't want both options for everything. Too many galaxy sizes as it is already.
LNSS Mar 7, 2021 @ 7:32pm
it would be good to have the linked nebula option for smaller (200-400-600-800) galaxies, and more smaller galaxy sizes in general too (300, 500, etc.)
PrettyAverage  [author] Mar 5, 2021 @ 12:49am
If you just use this mod there is no way to colonise wild space. If they somehow managed to try and build a starbase, which should be impossible, the game would crash. If you are using the Control submod there is a late game tech and megastar to allow it. But I've never seen the AI use it. I'm not aware of any other mod that would effect that. Are you 100 percent sure it is actually wild space they are colonising? Not all nebulae space is necessarily wild space. You have to look at the specific system.

If you post some screenshots of the systems I can check
Chocobo-Raider Mar 4, 2021 @ 5:41pm
Not sure what's letting them do that then. How do I work out whats getting in the way of the mod? Just trial and error removing and replacing mods?
PrettyAverage  [author] Mar 4, 2021 @ 1:10am
It is possible that they can vspawn surrounded by WS. But they can't colonise it
Chocobo-Raider Mar 3, 2021 @ 4:55pm
Yeah no kidding the evolving hl is hard on performance. And sorry to repeat, I just wanna figure out if my game/load order is bugged, is AI empires to spawn in and colonise further wild space? No right?

And sweet, I cant wait to try the linked nebulae one, cheers for that!
PrettyAverage  [author] Mar 2, 2021 @ 4:31am
@chocobo - agree works well with evolving hyperplanes. Though that mod is not ideal performance wise .

If you try one of the maps named linked nebulae you might like the result. Spawns lots of small nebulae rather than a few bug ones. They can overlap so you'll get different shapes / geography every time. Beyond that... I've wanted to do some expirements on different ways to bring in WS not linked to nebulae for ages, but just haven't been able to find the kind of time I'd need to do that properly for months
Chocobo-Raider Mar 1, 2021 @ 10:12pm
Is there any way to have the wild space less clustered and more random? If they were more intermittent and less concentrated I think it would achieve your space-geography aims better. It'd be more visually interesting than 4-5 big multicoulored circles imo.

Also, is it normal for AI empires to spawn with colonised space inside wild space? I just started a game and theres a federation of three AI's that all started in one big nebula, and I wasnt tracking what they had when, but I'm pretty sure they're colonising more of it with star bases, bug or feature?

Ive been using it with evolving hyperlanes, and it's a beautiful marriage lemme tell ya. I tried using it with Humans Are Immature too, which deletes all hyper lanes and gives everyone jump drives, but it was a little overkill :steamfacepalm:
coolman552 Mar 1, 2021 @ 2:34pm
where can i access it?
PrettyAverage  [author] Mar 1, 2021 @ 2:26pm
There's a lite version.
coolman552 Mar 1, 2021 @ 5:46am
there are too many nebulas in massive sized galaxies
Spider Feb 28, 2021 @ 5:59pm
Gigastructures just got a big update that adds more content to their Core spawns, specifically the Supermassive Black Hole.
PrettyAverage  [author] Feb 28, 2021 @ 12:49pm
@nicebagdad - i've tried to set it up so they dont every spawn in nebula. Works for vanilla sites but sometimes an issue with modded sites
PrettyAverage  [author] Feb 28, 2021 @ 12:48pm
@artifactial - there's a list of the sizes in the 'Space is Big Submod'. Those galaxies are now in the main mod. Need to update desc.
nicebagdad Feb 25, 2021 @ 1:15am
how do archeological dig sites work with your mod? can they also only spawn in nebula?
Artfactial Feb 22, 2021 @ 11:24am
Love the idea of this and am going to try it out with Real Space (3.7 is no problem?) and Planetary Diversity. I'm not using any UI mods so the Galaxy generator names are cut off. Do you have a list of the galaxy sizes+star counts?
PrettyAverage  [author] Feb 19, 2021 @ 8:34am
If you use the regular map you'll still have a wild space core. A medium map has roughly the same amount of colonisable systems as a regular small system
HiddenPrior Feb 16, 2021 @ 4:27pm
I see the smallest map size available with wild space is medium, may I ask why this is? Or if there is a sub mod anyone is aware of that allows smaller wild space galaxies?
FuriousGreg Feb 15, 2021 @ 12:26pm
@PrettyAverage You rock! My old eyes thank you :steamhappy:
