I know this kinda goes against the fact this is supposed to be medieval tech but could you make a patch that adds a version of the ship cryptosleep caskets in SoS2? Maybe a haunted version or something that has a spirit bound to it that opens up the casket.

Mod has been updated to 1.5
Nuno  [author] Jun 5, 2024 @ 5:28pm
This mod appears to work currently, I'll go ahead and update the version tag once I finish going through my other mods. Please let me know if you encounter any issues with this mod in 1.5
Tal'Raziid May 4, 2024 @ 9:19pm
Does this actually work as-is, currently?
Nuno  [author] Apr 1, 2024 @ 12:15am
All of my medieval mods will be updated to 1.5, but I do not have a specific time frame for this as of right now. After my schedule is less busy I will set aside time to bring some much needed updates for this mod and my others.

I do hope that this gets another update for 1.5, because I love this idea

Two requests, would you be able to make this paintable?

And any chance you could make it also work as a burial spot? It'd look really elegant for my ruler when he dies.

I love this as a means of 'storing' excess colonists when the babies start coming thick and fast. One request for future developments would be so that it was paintable so that I could mark which were empty and which were full as right now my 'warehouse' looks great but I have to click to see which are occupied and which are free. Cheers

Thanks for the update!

I haven't actually used this in a playthrough yet, does the coffin require stone blocks to build?
Armorguy1 Jul 9, 2022 @ 6:36am
heh "more flavor" because it's insect jelly! Good one! xD
ParasiticSquid Apr 25, 2022 @ 6:52pm
Anyway for cheaper stuff or less research time for your mods so players who want them but not in medieval playthrough can use them? Either a alternate version or some config options to change the settings

Would it be possible to create a unified research tab for this mod, medieval and medicines and medieval prosthetics all together? Having three different tabs for three mods in the same theme by the same author makes me antsy in ways I find hard to relate. Thank you for all three mods regardless of your answer to this query.

Sweet, any plans to make something similar for the biosculptor?
Nuno  [author] Dec 9, 2020 @ 11:25am
@Miss Bonafide, If anything beside the hediff is called "Cryptosleep", it's not intended, so please let me know if this is the case. Thanks in advance.
Miss Bonafide Dec 9, 2020 @ 11:05am
Ahh I see. For some reason, I recalled it being called "cryptosleep" in my game, not "Entosomnia". I might have rememebered it wrong. Thanks for your response
Nuno  [author] Dec 9, 2020 @ 10:34am
@Miss Bonafide, At some point I may attempt to add more "tending" requirements for these, but it was intended to be a cryptosleep casket that is accessible during medieval runs.

As far as this being called "cryptosleep", that's what the name Entosomnia was intended to be for, to differentiate it from cryptosleep. The hediff, will have the same name because it's the same hediff, though.

I remember using this mod for a low tech playthrough. I really enjoyed it! My only complaint is that it's functionally identical to advance cryptosleep caskets, making it more of a simple reskin than a unique alternative. I think you should add some more risks/drawbacks when using this item. Perhaps pawns could suffer some more health debuffs or injuries when being ejected from the casket. Perhaps the casket needs to be tended to on a regular basis or else the occupant would expire.

I also think this mod should be called something other than crytosleep because it sounds too advanced, but that's just me being nitpicky, lol. I'll still gladly use this during medieval/low tech playthroughs. I hope you make more mods like this!
Nuno  [author] Nov 22, 2020 @ 4:47pm
@Vertigo, This is just speculation, but I'd imagine to replace vanilla ancient cryptosleep caskets either an invasive patch would be necessary, or something heftier that requires C#.
Vertigo Nov 17, 2020 @ 4:50pm
I've tried on my own end with making a mod that patches the ancient cryptocasket with yours, but it error/fails to load. My knowledge of making mods is cut/paste others xml defs and hope it works. :(
Nuno  [author] Oct 18, 2020 @ 3:58pm
@Vertigo, I will look into this as a possibility. I intend for these mods to avoid being intrusive in any way, so I will see if I can make it toggleable at least.

In my mind I justify the presence of such high tech stuff being due to aliens who have long departed, or something along those lines.
Vertigo Oct 16, 2020 @ 5:01am
Is it possible for an option for these to replace the ancient cryptocaskets that can spawn in ancient dangers? Just seems odd to find those high tech items when I'm attempting to play medieval only.
Nuno  [author] Aug 18, 2020 @ 5:31pm
After moderate testing, I found no errors when played on 1.2, so the mod is now updated for 1.2
Nuno  [author] Jul 25, 2020 @ 11:57pm
@Zorzalillo, thanks I appreciate it!

This one it's pretty creative, awesome job in the concept and graphics :8bitheart:
megabot Jun 3, 2020 @ 7:51am
i think something cool would be it needing insect jelly as fuel or for every time someone was ejected some refueling because they carry part of the insect jelly with them
Dr. Mantis Tobbogan M.D. Jun 2, 2020 @ 12:22pm
Excellent idea, very well balanced in my opinion. Looking forward to your next medieval mod release! (If you're making more, I hope so)
Forbidden Powdered Donut Jun 2, 2020 @ 8:00am
I think you should make the cryptosleep sickness worse
Just for better effect? Eh...
Nuno  [author] Jun 1, 2020 @ 2:42am
@Rinklestein, I will look into it and see if it's possible.
Nuno  [author] Jun 1, 2020 @ 2:42am
@BUTTERSKY11, these types of mods are very simple and are easy to create quickly.
jjdinkle May 31, 2020 @ 4:20am
Could it be possible for an option to allows this to be a quest reward? Would feel pretty good as an artifact instead of a research project in post medieval colonies.
flra May 29, 2020 @ 10:38pm
Thanks
Nuno  [author] May 29, 2020 @ 4:43pm
@Kaiser Will be fixed within 10 minutes, thank you for reporting.
flra May 29, 2020 @ 12:30pm
I tried to build the Sarcophagus after researching the tech, but the game says it is locked behind the spacer cryptocasket tech
cat May 29, 2020 @ 5:13am
looks a bit like a necron tomb
Redknight910 May 29, 2020 @ 12:49am
Cool. This is awesome, and will definitely be going into my next medieval run.
