Copy the packfiles to your "Steam\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER II\data" folder and they'll appear in the launcher.
If undivided are in the game they could be their own religion (and hence their own creep) that still confers the same benefits on the monogod religion factions.
TWW3 should have a unique religion attached to each god, and hopefully a unique creep for each god that will either do the job or make modding it possible.
There's only one Chaos religion (a.k.a. corruption) in TWW2 and from that only one type of terrain creep for Chaos. To get all four gods represented on the same seamless texture is difficult, both artistically and because the texture overlays itself as the engine renders it on the campaign map in different schemes at different corruption levels and at different map locations (and under different lighting). What might work at one corruption level won't work at another: the difference between what textures work for the small city rings at low corruption where the texture overlays itself four times, and high corruption when swathes of the map are painted with minimal overlay, is quite stark. I couldn't get anything to work.
In addition there is a different mechanism where campaign map vfx effects (like rainbows, magic animation swirls, flying bats etc.) can be added when a region comes under the control of certain faction groups. That seems more viable and could be done on a faction by faction basis.
Any ideas for a Vampire corruption map texture?
There's an interesting new mod called Vampire Coruption Mist that showed a way to add graphical campaign map vfx effects for Chaos regions (that would also work for Vampire regions, and potentially able to be modded to add vfx campaign map effects on a faction-by-faction region control basis). I've confirmed I can get vfx campaign map effects to load for Chaos, just a matter of playing around with effects and learning what edits look good:

It's a movie mod, so as I understand it would have to be an separate additional mod to this.
Thanks mate. Really good to hear your feedback on how it changed your campaign play style. I want Chaos corruption to be something alien, horrific and obscenely conspicuous, that intrudes on and haunts your campaign, that motivates you to fight and purge it from your map; which the vanilla grey stone textures just don't do. Hopefully CA go all out in TWW3 and we get four variants of crazy Chaos creep and campaign map effects for each Chaos god.
BTW your miscast mod is great too. Now I actually see when they happen.
Thanks mate, yes that was my motivation. Reading all the fluff about the Realm of Chaos landscape being a lovechild of Salvador Dali and Hieronymus Bosch conceived in a dye factory, and instead they paved hell and put up a parking plot. My small effort to do some textures to help return it to that bizarre and hostile alien horror direction.
Hopefully the creative flows are unleashed for Warhammer III and we get an overhaul with four wildly surreal competing creepscapes for each god with 3d assets popping up on the campaign map, or something very different and even better.
The textures are BC3/DXT5. They equally match the storage and resolution size of the vanilla DXT5 dds files.
Wood Elves are the perfect candidate for campaign map scripting akin to creep, where every province you occupy turns green with foliage and trees start popping up to populate the campaign map, and by the time you've conquered the world it's been terraformed into a giant forest. I don't think it's possible to do atm, it's really something for CA to either implement or enable. As is, creep is tied to religion (which in Warhammer is used for corruption), and may be further hardcoded to work only with Chaos and Undead (Skavan are the other race that use religion/corruption, but they don't have a vanilla creep attached to them).
The vanilla creep dds files are all DXT5. That may be because they are holdovers from Warhammer 1. From early testing modded creep files would not load if the wrong dds format was used, the game would load the vanilla textures instead. IDK if a newer format would work, but as is it's a direct replacement of the vanilla format used for creep dds.
Haha looks good under Uthuan's lighting. Glad you're enjoying it. Thanks for the feedback and screenshots too, it's very helpful. Do you mind if I include some of your images in the mod description?
@IVaCH
Only Chaos and Undead have creep in the game. Skaven have corruption too, so there's a chance the game could be tricked into displaying creep for them (not too hopeful though). Corruption is the history games religion mechanic repurposed, so if it's possible to add religions to the game then creep modding for more factions might be possible. Hopefully they expand the religion/corruption mechanic in Warhammer 3 when they give each Chaos faction their own corruption, and therefore their own creep, and it become more easily moddable from there.
I am planning to do a terrain mod for each Chaos god, and a Beastman themed one. Each texture has it's own quirks when put in the game which slow the process down.

Mate it's looking really good. I have solutions to get it to look smooth around low corruption cities (replace the 0_diffuse with a transparent, the game does an okay job of making the 1_diffuse's corners curved), and solutions to make it look great throughout high corruption provinces (keep the 0_diffuse). The hard part is getting it to do both at the same time. Anyway here's a preview:
