@Phyvo thanks for the report and the repo steps, i've let MJ who refactored the editor code know about this. not sure what the timeline is for getting the fix though

Oh, I noticed a weird bug with a save game and the spirit editor. Steps to reproduce:

*Select Covets and put him on the editor
*Edit Track Energy
*Save your game
*Reload your save and put him back on the editor
*hit populate, his energy is back to default, and if you started a game it would be default.

This doesn't affect element track edits, save files will properly remember those.

It looks like the latest update broke the drafting part of Destiny Unfolds. The cards get discarded after the each player clicks on a card.

@Pistolwhip707 if you look along the bottom of the table in the mod there's a grouping of buttons with colors written on them. Select the color you want in the area you want

@HarrisN it's not automated, you'll need to pull the board out yourself from the bag (top right area) and set it out

Do I have to manual set up the extra board when I use dream of the untouched land's threshold power?
Or is it automated and I just don't know how to use the automation?

@Strudel there are a bunch of boxes for components in the upper left area of the mod

@Killablink if you want to use an aspect take it out of the hand and place it onto the spirit panel before starting the game

@BoL yeah there are issues with the editors MJ has been working on a fix for that though, hopefully it will be out soon

Hey I think there's a bug with the Spirit Panel Editor? When I edit a Spirit's energy it doesn't keep the changes on any sort of reload of the panel (fresh save, copying and pasting of the panel, etc.). All of the other parts work, just not the energy on the track.

Sorry, I tried to search on how it works but couldn't find. How do aspects work? If I want to try for example Haven for River surges in sunlight, what should I do with the card? As soon as I progress the game, the card disappears from my hand. It is something that I just have to keep in mind and play as according to the new rule even though it is not reflected on the board?

I was checking out the Apocrypha Dragon, but it doesn't seem to spawn his Hoard Board, which seems like it makes it unplayable? Did I miss something?

@iakona It's my fault, I'm really sorry. I didn't see (and totally forgot) the “fear card” column in the opponents' card. I thought the fear card deck would only be modified because of a rule in the opponent's “Game Effect” column. So the fear deck was modified correctly

Hi! Do you have any tips for people new to Spirit Island using this mod? I really want to get into this, but the amount of content in this mod is overwhelming when trying to learn.
Sadly I don't have many funds right now, or I would have just bought me and my pals copies of the Standalone version.

@Twisted are you playing with spirit tokens but have events disabled? e.g. you have those command beasts cards? because in that case you get an extra fear card between terror 2 and 3

@Badatlash @WarriroScout245 MJ refactored the editors including the spirit one back in 4.5.0 (Feb release) there's been some other reported issues as well with this. not sure when MJ will have time to dive into that code though

Hello, it seems like I have a problem with the fear deck. Whenever I set up a game, I often have extra fear cards in my fear card deck. For example, I can have 4 fear card between terror 2 and 3, or 4 between terror 3 and immediate victory. It's pretty wierd. I'm playing with randoms adversaries and none of them was modifying the fear card deck.

Sounds like the same issue I was having. I didn't find a fix but honestly I haven't really had a chance to try and find one.

To be more precise, the energy track will reset to the old spawn locations, old energy tracks. I edit it, save object one more time. Upon re-loading the game, the energy track reset again. I discovered the issue around 2 weeks ago. before that it works fine.

Hello iakona, yes I have been following all these steps before to make many custom spirits and saved them, those are working perfectly fine (presence spawn locations, energy gain, track elements, innate thresholds,. etc.). It is the only recent days when I create a new spirit from a old spirit board, the energy track got issues. Thank you for reading this :)

@Badatlash, if you are changing the image on a spirit board then you may need to edit the presence spawn locations, energy gain, track elements, innate thresholds,. etc. after using the editor to make those changes you'll then want to save that as an object and then load that in in the future

Hi authors, thank you for creating this wonderful piece of work, I really enjoy playing it online with my friends. Much appreciated your hard work. Recently I find out when using a new spirit, which is made by replacing the spirit boards from older spirits, the Energy Track will reset to the older spirits' pattern each time I re-open the game, so I have to edit it every time before I choose the new spirit. (Elements on the tracks works fine, it can be saved) Thank you for considering looking into this minor issue :)

@Charles, yeah under i think variant options there's a setting that talks about recolored thematic boards that you'll want to make sure is checked

I love this mod! I was wondering if there is a way to play the thematic boards with the balanced art? It is an option in the Handelabra app and it makes playing thematic so much better. Is there a setting I am not seeing here to do the same?

@phantos138 the fear deck intentionally doesn't stack and instead splayed out in a hand. that's because folks like to know how many cards until next terror level and if you're playing with Russia when those extra invader cards are coming out

There is also an issue with elements. Your spirit might have another location for presence or at least something the game interprets as such, thus not properly recognising your energy track (at all, apparently).
For elements, this happens if you have an area of one or multiple fields like Serpent's special rule. The elements on their track are gained even if they are still covered (because those additional presence locations for some reason shift where they are placed on the presence tracks). Of course it's fixable with the in-game editor, though needs to be done for every iteration.

thank you! I like using splitscreen view to see my mat while looking at the board but of course I can't click on UI buttons lol. the energy counter and picking powers also have this issue but the former has a hotkey at least. this'll make everything sooo much easier

I'd also love to be able to keep "third hands" like Dances Up Earthquake's impending cards and Fractured Days Split the Sky's future sight elsewhere on the playmat, since at the moment it seems to continually reset them back? that may be a lot more complex though

@Gudshaterskan the other variant 2 player layouts do exist in the game, you just can't see them. you'd have to pass in config data with the layouts set. in general the thinking was to only show the "official" listed variants from the JE rulebook

@WarriorScout245 so assuming you're creating the custom spirit using the spirit builder website, I'd recommend talking to the designer of the website for extra help or perhaps the custom content creator spirit island discord

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I am making my first custom spirit and when I save it and then start a game it tells me that my spirit does not support automatic energy gain.If I update its energy tracking using the builder and then use it it works but if I save it and spawn a new copy it doesn't have energy tracking. It also doesn't populate when I put it into the editor. Everything else is saving, it is just the energy.

Basically it doesn't seem to be saving the automatic energy state.

I don't know if it's an issue on my side, but I was playing this with a friend a couple days ago and it worked fine - but when I made a new game today, all the power cards from Jagged Earth had no functioning face textures (though the backs were fine). Is this just me, or a more general issue?

Is there any way to make the fear that's gained show globally in the chat, instead of per-player? My group often has issues where we'll be unsure how much fear was added for an action!

It's a bug that happens to us sometimes, the floating pieces, I can't seem to predict it either except it might be to do with the computer specs of whoever hosts and if they lag a touch during setup. I assume the script places stuff above the board, and then drops it once it's in the right place, and something isn't triggering right sometimes. Just gotta put them down carefully.

@Way did you change the physics setting for TTS? when the pieces spawn they are put a little above the board and then should fall down. as for france, the towns supply includes the pieces put on the board during setup. also if you play with a supporting adversary with france 2 or higher than you'll end up with extra towns being included in the pool per Jagged Earth rulebook

two issues: (1) when I click "setup," dahan and blight appear floating above the board, which requires manual adjustment for each one; and (2) france does not appear to generate the correct number of towns.

@joe when a player picks shroud there are instructions displayed to them for how to handle the special rule
