No it wouldn't make sense given the time frame @ROMEO considering this takes place in the early days of the global war on terror, UCP and OCP were adopted later in the 2000s and 2010s

or is the thing on their right hip the gas mask pouch?
CaptainSpark Feb 28, 2023 @ 9:07am
No offence but wouldnt they have a M40 gas mask pouch?
ROMEO Sep 17, 2022 @ 4:13pm

ROMEO Sep 17, 2022 @ 4:13pm

Neko Jan 2, 2022 @ 8:36pm

Yeah thanks lol, in an upcoming update, I'm planning to replace the soldier gear using BF3 assets (but mainly just ammo pouch, back pack, radio, helmet, etc) making them more 'equipped' but still wearing their early 2000s era uniform and camo. But I'm still thinking whether to update this mod or completely upload it as a new ones and separate from this mod

All good man, I am sure you will update it soon enough and it'll have a lotta variations. I really like this mod because it really is an accurate army force that would've entered black mesa. I do not think it'd of looked any different honestly. I gave them M16s and benelli shotguns, pretty much making them a National guard force. NGL I really am a simp for this mod

@Verosika I have a plan to update this mod along with the Desert version which will add more variety to the model like helmet, body (gear) or skins. For the skins, I just realized that I forgot to set the skins in order with the original ones back then. (Ex: in original BMS ones, skin 4 is for white which more commonly use in the game, but because I didn't adjust the skins right, this mod had: skins 4 is for black). But, I recommend you to use character_manifest if you want more variety of the models and set it through there. If you see the model through hlmv (model viewer), you will see that there's a plenty of unused skins and headgear (helmet) that I put in there.

I noticed when spawning the grunt and medic (with console commands), it is only an african american model, would it be possible to add white or even asian models for the (gas maskless) grunt? Or medic? I would like some variation, also maybe commanders that aren't all white. Not trying to sound like some race obsessed weirdo, but it would be nice to see some variations.

Very good ♥♥♥♥, these look very much so like mid 80s to early 2001 era uniforms. In reality if this event went down, these guys would be the one's hitting Black Mesa.

My game won't launch as a result of attempting to add other mods so I can't provide screenshots, but the problem was the same as that which Perogi found. Mine was in the main Black Mesa campaign, not a custom map.
Perogi Palooka Dec 31, 2020 @ 8:53am
That particular picture was from the custom workshop map, Stojkeholm. To be honest with you, I haven't tested the main campaign, so I don't know if it's affecting that. Unless @Someone Hidden In The Trees experianced that during the campaign and could provide screenshots.

Does that only occur on custom maps only? Or also on the default maps too?
I have never seen that bug before (It worked well here), Maybe I can fix it, but I don't really know what caused that issue..
Sir Sponge Dec 30, 2020 @ 1:54pm
I have the same problem as Perogi Palooka. The corpses already on the map have necks that are like 40 feet long. Are there any solutions to this?
Perogi Palooka Dec 25, 2020 @ 7:00am
Pretty great mod- idealy it'd be better to have a more time period accurate alice pack on their back instead of what they currently have, but that's a minor nitpick.

Only major issue was that corpses that were already placed on the map do this:

Enemies who I kill are fine, it's just the existing bodies on the map.

Okay confirmed to work after doing it the custom way.
Blackburn.-  [author] Sep 7, 2020 @ 10:19am
@PopASquatt Try to install it manually or just follow the guide.
PopASquatt Sep 5, 2020 @ 4:28pm
It only seams to apply to one of the original HECU models. Anyway to fix this?
T'erissk May 9, 2020 @ 11:17am
These look and act fantastic so far! A very welcome and realistic change and addition to Black Mesa, thank you so much for putting this up for use ^_^
T'erissk May 9, 2020 @ 2:39am
@Blackburn, I followed the custom mod folder directions and the models got in A-Okay ^_^
Just have to playthrough the levels (I just hopped into We've got Hostiles" to see if the bodies changed), and see how they all do.

@Shoutmon-Grei I haven't tested it, but it should be work.
Blackburn.-  [author] May 9, 2020 @ 1:38am
@Okami sorry I can't, I'm not very good at modeling, but maybe I'll try later ..
T'erissk May 8, 2020 @ 10:05pm
I assume this works mid game or should I start a level over to be safe?
Okami May 8, 2020 @ 9:21pm
Can you do a M16A2 heatshield for mp5?
