Dope.

I built out the route as far as the hainesburg viaduct but never uploaded it due to file issues. I might at some point. I've decided to head in another direction by creating the entire mainline starting from Hoboken over the Boonton Line. Eventually that will go over the cut off, that route can be found on my workshop. So far, I've made it to boonton and will upload that portion in a month or so. Thanks for checking in!

Sooo... It's been over a year now. Is this going to be updated ever again?

Two thing I've notices is that it seems the train will route you into Port Morris Yard, rather than onto the Cut-Off, when travelling in Quick Drive mode, and that NJT's Dual Mode locomotives do not allow you to do quick drives to stations past Dover from Penn Station.

Trying to do this same project in Trainz 2019, would like to hear about how you built this

Maybe add hackettenstown

I have not put any thought towards that idea but I'll certainly starting thinking about it. Right now I have track laid as far as Greendell (MP 58). Given that my goal is to get to Stroudsburg (MP 85) and the rate of progress so far I havent seen a point to doing that. If I decided to extend another 50 miles to Scranton I will most certainly publish before doing that.

Hi Bamaji. Now Maria Pass is not a requirement (thanks for listening), do you have a milestone in mind where you might stop, and say this is it for the time being, and see if you can get 30 thumbs up ratings to make it final, so we can create on it?
Bamaji  [author] May 2, 2020 @ 1:29am
Took it out as a required DLC in the last update. Put that in the title so people outside of US who might've clicked on it earlier only to find they couldn't play it because of that DLC could be made aware of the change. title will go back to normal in a bit.

Where's "(WITH Maria's Pass)"?
Bamaji  [author] May 1, 2020 @ 10:38am
Thanks I appreciate it!

Just had my first run on the Boonton Extension and it was pretty fun! Can't wait for the rest!

Awesome. I did see Hudson is in the TS2020 US bundle but is my only missing item there (the default edition is what I got included), so I'll wait for the June sale to determine the best way to handle that particular acquisition. Morristown will probably get considered then as well. I'll possibly give it a try around that time. Feel free to poke me through here to remind me. =)

I see, I misread your comment. Hopefully you'll get the chance to try it out sometime in the future! Thanks again for letting me know about the Marias Pass issue. Scenery is mostly reworked now and will be uploaded within a few days once I fix some issues with the existing Quick Drives.

(BTW, I do have New York-New Haven already, I decided that was integral to some of my plans.)
Cyclone Apr 29, 2020 @ 3:02pm
Oh, don't worry. I didn't ask you to remove any other assets, and I will someday have those. I realize it continues from Morristown and therefore that is necessary, and it doesn't hurt to include a couple other assets in there. I just said it means it will be a bit before I can try it out; I myself have the original North Jersey Coast, not Morristown (blame the Humble Bundle, but it's on my shopping list), and Hudson Bay I will get someday even if not in June. I will regularly be going back through routes and favouriting things I intend to look at in the future. Once I have Morristown this will be on that list.
Bamaji  [author] Apr 29, 2020 @ 2:39pm
I appreciate the compliment! Unfortunately, the assets (besides Marias Pass which will be eliminated in the next update) are integral to the route. This route picks up where the Morristown route leaves off at Dover. The Hudson line is most of the bridges, trees and buildings. The New Haven is also used for about 25% of the route but that route seems to be common enough for people to have it. If its not, let me know and I'll look into how easy it would be to shave that one off as well but its doubtful.

This is looking fantastic already and I haven't even tried it out. Ahead of time i'm just gonna say great job because I'm already amazed from what I'm seeing. Hopefully we see other lines from NJT too sooner or later. :P
Cyclone Apr 29, 2020 @ 10:35am
Fantastic. I do not yet have Hudson Line or the Morristown route extension, but all the same having the route down to things that I and everyone are capable of buying will definitely improve the usability of your route. I hope your route finds a group of interested users and scenarios for it such that people eventually aim to download specifically your route and, therefore, look for the assets involved as purchases not only for their own content, but for all the extra content. =)

Impact from Marias Pass asset removal is minimal enough that I will be removing it and reworking impacted areas. You can expect an update sometime this weekend.
Bamaji  [author] Apr 29, 2020 @ 8:52am
Thanks for letting me know! I wasn't aware Marias Pass was only available to US players. My goal is to have the route available to as many people as possible so I will certainly look into to possibility of removing it as a requirement. As far as I am aware it was used for relatively few assets compared to the other DLCs for some of the industries along the Whippany Branch which would be substituted rather easily. I'll look into it and update it sometime for the weekend. I really appreciate the feedback!

I agree with Cyclone Bamaji. I hate to be negative, on what is a brilliant piece of work. When someone researches the past like you have, it makes a fantastic route in my opinion, that I love to create on. Being in Australia the Marias Pass will stop me! If, and I know this is a big if, if you were to remove the Marias Pass, would you consider releasiing a version finished up to now, that could get enough ratings to allow creating scenarios on it. And then at a later date, publish a newer version, and so on. It gives creators a chance at each stage - or at least at major milestones, to create scenarios - and you will then see your work being used, by a lot of people! Cheers and good luck.

If possible, it might be wise to remove the Marias Pass requirement if possible so worldwide players can also play the route. It seems Marias Pass will never be released outside the U.S. and that means any routes that require it as a basis will never get played by everyone, reducing the usage of your route. Can you try to rework it with a temporary uninstall of Marias Pass while doing so, or is it too integral to the route to remove?
