Hey unfortunately I think this mod is down for good it looks like
It doesnt work for me at all which is unfortunate since I bought the dlc just for this mod

it should show up if you right click on a barony's coat of arms. i don't remember if it has to be a temple or not

las posibilidades de roleo con este mod son asombrosas, no esta traducido al español, pero la cantidad de texto es minima de todas maneras. lo negativo es que no habran mecanicas con las religiones que te inventes. (incluso las mecanicas disponibles por defecto, como fundar el sacro imperio, pedir dinero a tu lider religioso, o fundar ordenes religiosas)

I have a newly-released CKII mod called Shiny New Faith. I would like to incorporate some of your code from Custom Faiths into that mod, if you wouldn't mind..?

Unofrtunately the mod is too broken.

The only thing you'll get from it it's the ability to chose your religion (with names and all) and holy sites, but you'll lose societies, almost all doctrines don't work and you'll be seen as infedel by every other religion. On top of that, even if you create an heresy, the base code will be that of a pagan religion so you'll lose societies and specific buildings/great works related religion.

Its not a reformed religion which means I keep getting cathloic missonaries trying to convert me. Also could you make it so you can instantely reform the religion. So you could use all of the doctorines?

I noticed one thing, it defaults succession laws to gavelkind and no option to go back to primogeniture at all. The best is ultimogeniture.

I might add some options to change the features of already existing religions, but I don't think I'll be adding functionality to change their localisation (Name, names of gods, etc.). As for the randomized religions in shattered/random world: no, I don't plan on changing anything in that regard.

This is probably outside the scope of this mod, but do you plan to attempt to fix the custom religions that can be created in a randomized/broken world? At the moment, the religions created in that way still can't change their religious head, and the doctrines sometimes don't match what was set up in the religion editor before the game.

Otherwise, will there ever be functionality to edit already existing religions?

Also I have an issue with names of custom faith's "papal state" because it doesn't have name I selected and is named |custom1relheadduchy|. Same thing happens with religion head's name

I'd reccomend putting one custom faith in each religion group. A playthrough is only going to need one custom heresy anyway, and this way at the very least the religion will have it's parent religion's mechanics (muslim heresies having Iqta and Decadence, and so on.)

Quick Q, when you create a custom religion via this, does it become the religion group you used? It'd be a bit weird to create a fragment off say Islam and have pagan mechanics not muslim ones.

If we chose to make a heresy under a religion with a monastic society, can we join that society after becoming the dominant religion? Or is the heresy its own separate religious group?

@Basileus Ferrum Princeps I Choosing religious group is not possible within the game. You can make heresies using the 'Proclaim a new Confession' decision.
And as for everyone asking about installing religious heads, I'm not entirely sure why the current version is bugged, but I'm going to be releasing the religious head overhaul very soon, and that'll fix it. I've been having some internet issues so I wasn't able to respond to comments. Sorry for that!

@Vive la Commune! Unfortunately religions cannot move to another religious group while in-game. Same for religious icons. I'd really like to have both of these but as far as I'm aware it's not possible within the game.

@King Iron Peanut There is no reform option. You choose nature and doctrine by decision. I did it this way so you don't have to play with a blank, boring religion until you conquer all your holy sites.
@FAST1470 As for custom doctrines, no, at least not for mods that add doctrines for vanilla reformation. It is possible to add new doctrines to this mod via submods, but it has to be made specifically for this mod. As for the custom amount of wives, I was thinking of adding that. I'll probably add an 'Advanced Options' decision that allows you to change a lot more minor details. It'll probably be in the next update after the religious head overhaul

@w.girl27 @Lokiloli You choose holy sites by right clicking on the shield of a temple barony. To make sure you're clicking on the right one (since the shields can sometimes get overwritten by ones of other titles in the county view) you can open the buildings tab for the temple holding you want to set as a holy site and right click on the shield at the top.
@manjoomedo Read above for holy sites. Yeah I'm aware some doctrines don't work entirely as they should, I'm working on that. Yes, there is one high god, 3 gods and 3 evil gods for each religion. This is because most people will probably want more gods, but I don't know entirely how many. An option to change how many gods you have is planned.

I can't choose the holy sites, doctrines aren't complete, custom religion asks for four gods and four evil gods instead of just one for each, can't choose leadership for religion.
