@NeoG

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

Ill post a small guide in discussions on how to tweak the professions. Its too long for the comment section.

This is a great mod, I find it mostly balanced and very much fun. Is there any way to tweak the stats that a profession has or the items they spawn with? Great work!

@leon2356 yup that fixed it, as soon as i put it in the users zomboid mods folder, it worked. thanks for the help :)

@DumbHornyManedWolf

Make sure its in the "mods" folder and not the "example mod" folder
leon2356  [author] Jun 1, 2022 @ 1:18pm
@DumbHornyManedWolf

There are two mod folders. Place a copy of the unzipped master in both and see if it works. Here are where both folders are located.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\mods
C:\Users\UserName\Zomboid\mods

Mines is in the "Users" folder but some people have said they have to put it in the "Steam" folder

@leon2356 i did download the github version the way in comments suggested n unzipped it, then moved moved professionframework-master file to the mod folder but the Professionframework doesnt appear in mods in game only this mod does, any suggestions?
leon2356  [author] Jun 1, 2022 @ 12:56pm
And make sure you are subscribed to this "Get a job!" and have it and the ProfessionFramework both activated in the mod menu.

@DumbHornyManedWolf

Ok, so i just checked and it still works for me.

Here are a few things to troubleshoot.
Is the Profesionsframework mod the GitHub version? The GitHub version is different then the other versions and that is the one I used to make this mod. Make sure you don't have the profesionsframework from steam activated, that one will override the GitHub version

There are several mod folders for project zomboid and you need to put it in the, " C:\Users\Username\Zomboid\mods" folder.

Make sure the ProfessionFramework-master file is unzipped. If it is zipped it will not work.

If none of these work, please let me know and I'll see if i can help.

@DumbHornyManedWolf

I will check right now and see if it works for me. I have not played in a while.

i put the the master file in the mod folder but the new occupations are not there,is this compatible with build 41?
leon2356  [author] Feb 25, 2022 @ 1:58pm
@Unbroken
Go to github and you'll see a green button called code, when you click on it, it brings up a tab that says download ZIP. Click that to download the file. Unzip it, Then just put the master file in, C:\Users\user\Zomboid\mods.

How to download PFM from github? I can download seperate files within github but not the whole mod
leon2356  [author] Feb 19, 2022 @ 6:30pm
I want to add the newer version to steam but I don't have permission to upload it. The maker of the professions framework has been offline for a few years now, so I don't know if I will ever get it.
leon2356  [author] Feb 19, 2022 @ 6:24pm
@Drew10643

Yes it does still work, but you need the github version in the link at the top of the page. Reason being the github version let's you add more traits to custom occupations, and I use several of those. The one on steam is missing most of those traits. So it won't work with my mod.
Drew10643 Feb 18, 2022 @ 12:56pm
does this mod still work

@RapidMinimumBeaver
Hey Beaver, sorry it took so long for me to respond I'm on the last week of my semester so I have not been on steam for a while. I just ran a test by making several saved loadouts, and the traits added by the mod, DO NOT, save with loadouts. I believe this is a bug with the "Professions Framework mod". It's a bit late for me at this time, so tomorrow I will message Fenris_Wolf, the maker of PFM and let him know of this bug.

Thanks for finding and reporting this bug!

I have noticed that you don't appear to be able to save the traits this adds in character builds. Is that something anyone else runs into?

Army soldier (stationed on an oil rig of the side of san francisco safe from all until someone blows it up)
leon2356  [author] Apr 7, 2020 @ 8:07pm
@Jacket Ah. I have that in my description so i did not think to ask. Sorry. Glad you got it working and be sure to give me some feedback if anything needs some work.
Appalachia Apr 7, 2020 @ 7:56pm
Found the problem, you cannot use the steam workshop version of the profession framework. You must unsub from the profession workshop mod and use the github version
leon2356  [author] Apr 7, 2020 @ 7:28pm
@Jacket

That is strange... and you do have the profession frame work activated? Then the only thing i can think of is disable my mod and profession framework. Then turn on PF. exit the mod menu so it loads PF above my mod. Then turn on my mod so it loads below PF. then give it another try.
Appalachia Apr 7, 2020 @ 5:13pm
Pretty certain I am, all it does when I load up is change 1 job and when I click on it it just throws errors. Nothing else shows or works.
leon2356  [author] Apr 7, 2020 @ 4:07pm
@Jacket
It works for me and I'm on the newest build.

Do you have the Profession Framework mod installed? Do you have the github version?
Appalachia Apr 7, 2020 @ 3:38pm
is this mod broken? because it doesn't seem to work with 41.33
leon2356  [author] Mar 31, 2020 @ 10:21am
@World_Conqueror
I have only tested it on build 41.
So it may work on build 40, but I have never tested it.
But it does use items added in build 41 so i don't think it will work on build 40.

I'll add it to the description.
World_Conqueror Mar 31, 2020 @ 5:53am
Is this for build 41 only ?
(If you have it in the description and i just missed it, sorry for asking)

@jUG05

Ok so here is what you do.
First click on this link and click on clone or download.
https://github.com/FWolfe/ProfessionsFramework .
Click download zip.

After it downloads, open file explorer and Unzip/extract it to here C:\Users\user\Zomboid\mods.
After that it should showup in your mod list in game then you just activate it.
jUG_05 Mar 30, 2020 @ 1:28pm
how do I install the other mod that is required?
jUG_05 Mar 30, 2020 @ 1:09pm
