Thanks, I'm glad you like it.
Ill post a small guide in discussions on how to tweak the professions. Its too long for the comment section.
Happy to help. Have fun!
Make sure its in the "mods" folder and not the "example mod" folder
There are two mod folders. Place a copy of the unzipped master in both and see if it works. Here are where both folders are located.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\mods
C:\Users\UserName\Zomboid\mods
Mines is in the "Users" folder but some people have said they have to put it in the "Steam" folder
Ok, so i just checked and it still works for me.
Here are a few things to troubleshoot.
Is the Profesionsframework mod the GitHub version? The GitHub version is different then the other versions and that is the one I used to make this mod. Make sure you don't have the profesionsframework from steam activated, that one will override the GitHub version
There are several mod folders for project zomboid and you need to put it in the, " C:\Users\Username\Zomboid\mods" folder.
Make sure the ProfessionFramework-master file is unzipped. If it is zipped it will not work.
If none of these work, please let me know and I'll see if i can help.
I will check right now and see if it works for me. I have not played in a while.
Go to github and you'll see a green button called code, when you click on it, it brings up a tab that says download ZIP. Click that to download the file. Unzip it, Then just put the master file in, C:\Users\user\Zomboid\mods.
Yes it does still work, but you need the github version in the link at the top of the page. Reason being the github version let's you add more traits to custom occupations, and I use several of those. The one on steam is missing most of those traits. So it won't work with my mod.
Hey Beaver, sorry it took so long for me to respond I'm on the last week of my semester so I have not been on steam for a while. I just ran a test by making several saved loadouts, and the traits added by the mod, DO NOT, save with loadouts. I believe this is a bug with the "Professions Framework mod". It's a bit late for me at this time, so tomorrow I will message Fenris_Wolf, the maker of PFM and let him know of this bug.
Thanks for finding and reporting this bug!
That is strange... and you do have the profession frame work activated? Then the only thing i can think of is disable my mod and profession framework. Then turn on PF. exit the mod menu so it loads PF above my mod. Then turn on my mod so it loads below PF. then give it another try.
It works for me and I'm on the newest build.
Do you have the Profession Framework mod installed? Do you have the github version?
I have only tested it on build 41.
So it may work on build 40, but I have never tested it.
But it does use items added in build 41 so i don't think it will work on build 40.
I'll add it to the description.
(If you have it in the description and i just missed it, sorry for asking)
Ok so here is what you do.
First click on this link and click on clone or download.
https://github.com/FWolfe/ProfessionsFramework .
Click download zip.
After it downloads, open file explorer and Unzip/extract it to here C:\Users\user\Zomboid\mods.
After that it should showup in your mod list in game then you just activate it.
