Brilliant. Just brilliant. Honestly, I highly recommend people to raise the car specific FFB multiplier in relation to the values which they normally fall back into. It's really a ver car specific setting and in this case I tested the 175% on my CSL Elite and it felt incredible. IN-CRE-DI-BLE

I would like to complement my opinion from last August.
I know that it's simracing sacrilege but I have a CSL Elite (belt) and decided to test ramping up the car specific FFB to 200% and my oh my... now the cars feel like they have weight and you can understand how much you can lean on the tyres and where the grip can take you.
I know that I am losing detail with clipping, but for me it feels much much better.
I might tone it down a bit, to about 175%, but I really believe that it's worthwhile people testing whenever if they don't have a DD wheel capable to run the car specific FFB at the ±60% range.
Right now, under this new scenario, I can only say that it's a BRILLIANT MOD!!!

@GTI Leo: If you make skins for 2021 can you improve on the look of the colors? They 2020 cars look a bit cartoony IMO. Also, I'm not sure if these cars are lit properly lit like some of the DLC with PBR. Something seems off.

I can do it! I did some skins for mods like F3 and Pickup Truck Racing Series... but I have to finish the helmets for F-BMW 2004 first.

I feel that the cars dynamically are well modeled - throttle and steering inputs - but they also feel very light as if they are floating (iRacing-like comes to mind - but still better).
With a bit more weight on the FFB - ie. a bit more tyre/grip feel, I believe that something otherworldly could be achieved.

I was wrong in saying that the cars are uncontrollable. Afterall they are very nice to drive. The problem is the tires, they overheat like crazy, but as i said before that is an rf2 problem, that was not like that before some updates. The front tires in a lap are like 130ºc, the car understeers like crazy, because of the tires.

A real pity that the cars are uncontrollable, so much oversteer, if in real life the cars behaved like that, every driver had been killed. Why people think uncontrollable is real?! As many drivers of indycar said, they can push the cars to the limit in the corners, and not difficult to control an oversteer. The tires overheat to fast, just 1 lap pushing and you have 130ºc, but i think that is a problem with RF2, almost all the cars now, overheat the tires damn fast.

Also isn’t FFB too weak? Unless 2020 cars have power steering they should generate much more torque during fast corners.

Cars oversteer is too unforgiving. Indycar drivers say you can hustle these cars IRL. Otherwise it’s a very good mod.

Ahh, got you. I wonder if it's possible to open up trackconfig.ini and add the oval/tracks in? I'll look into it. :)

If the oval you use is not listed in trackconfig.ini the ia and aero kit can't work fine .
Once we have debugged the gt3 we look in the indy both mod

Also, quick question - there are some ovals where the AI really struggle getting onto pit road? Might be a thing of turning down the AI aggression/difficulty level, as there are just some corners on some tracks where they fly in too hot and run wide, but when that happens on some ovals - Apple Valley and Iowa for two - they swerve onto the apron, run in too hot and spin out, causing mass pile-ups. Is it just a case of dialling back the AI aggression etc?

Potentially silly question; how do you spawn AI cars with the different aero kits? Just tried running at Auto Club Speedway and the entire field comprised of road course aerokit cars, rather than oval aero. Is there a way of changing it, or just a thing to deal with when using tracks outside of the mod?

There seems to be a problem with creating alt skins (how you rename AI and create talent files). Aeroscreen paint doesn't seem to transfer with skin, meaning the entire field is running plain blue halos.

Idk if this is something to do with my game but the capstone Herta car uses the other one. It happens with Andretti aswell

Also was wondering if there will be an update with Hertas car for indy gp, Pigots car for indy gp, Satos car and Ferruccis car?

Create or open a folder with exactly the same name as the name of the default skin for the car
example "M2009_06"

NOTE: You can check the default skin name if you press the Tuning button when selecting a car. The name is displayed in the Variants field.
In this directory you must place the skin file. There are 2 rules for the skin filename:
- maximum skin filename length is 12 characters (plus extension ".dds")
- there must be "alt" anywhere in the filename (so basically you have 9 characters to name your skin)​
example "123456789alt.dds"
you need to use the aeroscreen template and name him alt_wing

My only complaint is the in cockpit sound. It is too low. Anyway you can increase the in car engine sound to make it louder?
