@JDuane there is a faster loading mod. It's called Loading Screen Mod Revisited 1.1.10, it works great on my Mac.

This mod is a game-changer for my Mac's operating system, and I'm grateful for its existence. However, I wish there was a faster loading mod available, as even years later, the initial launch into the game remains slow due to the numerous assets and mods. It's frustrating that Paradox has yet to fix this long-standing issue. Nevertheless, I'm thankful for this mod, as it has always helped alleviate the slow closing times and freezing issues that have plagued the game. I'm puzzled as to why Paradox continues to ignore these well-known problems. Thank you modder (Cgameworld's), This mod really does help. Much apriciated. -Joseph

Anyone got an issue where the 'To Main Menu' option cannot be clicked?

I really appreciate this mod, game anarchy is no alternative for me, because game anarchy by default makes it possible to unlimitedly build unique buildings. It can be deactivated, but you have to deactivate that every time you load into a city.

everyone saying about game anarchy. i use that and it still takes 6 HOURS to "stop" on steam

You all say to use Game Anarchy however the unlimited ore and oil do not work in Game Anarchy so I'm coming back to this mod.

This mod still works even if it shows as outdated.

Use Game Anarchy instead.

If the mod breaks anything in game, just Ctrl Alt Delete, Task Manager, and Click end task on Cities skylines, dont go complaining for an update in here.

@slavonator, Game Anarchy is a separate mod. It incorporates the functionality of this mod within it. However there seems to be some concerns about one of it's functions, so read the comments and decide. This seems to work just fine, I will switch when it appears to be fixed as it will replace a few other mods as well.

Don't want to use Game Anarchy, because it tries to do EVERYTHING and in several cases doesn't do it as well as the mods it replaces. Guess I just won't have this feature.

I have clicked the Floating Terminate Button so it is highlighted, and restarted the game, but i cannot move the button away from the top corner with the left or right mouse / click-hold-drag. How do we move the button?

I like this as there seems to be nothing but errors exiting. I've got some requests:

1) When using the button, have an option to prompt me to prevent accidental press.
2) Check when last save (maybe autosave, too) and prompt if not recently saved. This may make 1) unnecessary.
3) Make the button appearance like all the other buttons in the game, weirdo ;)

why does my 'terminate' button keep disappearing?

Curious, How long should you wait before relaunching the game after using this to exit the game? For those of us that it used to take a couple of minutes to terminate fully, sometimes I play for a few hours and then restart my game just to see if theirs updates or to let the potato I use have a break.

Upvoted with enthusiasm. Good god, this is priceless, but can I buy you coffee/beer?

One of the rare "not know you need it until you have it" things. Thank you for making this wonderful lil mod, I run on a old potato of a laptop and it would take like 10 minutes or more to flush the ram and end the game instance, with this it now happens in seconds^^

Moving the Terminate Button: In the Options: Instant Return To Desktop: make sure you have the Floating Terminate Button selected and restart the game. Then in the game click using RIGHT Mouse button on the OUTER edges of the button, Hold and drag. I found this out from BonBonB's YouTube video: Mon Spot #11, and in this YouTube Video: Mark Hadley's comment in the comments list. Great Video and Great mod.

BonBonB just covered this mod on his "ModSpot" video on YouTube. I also agree with him about the "Opt-in" Terminate" button. I would like to see it both movable and hideable. Great Mod btw. Keep up the hard work.

@valar morghulis it might be because people have other mods that cause the quit process to take longer. Without the mod it quits quickly for me too - but its still not as instantaneous as the mod.

I see.What really confuses me is that I can close the game and return to desktop in one second by clicking "to desktop" button without this mod,which is not consistent with others' feedback.
