Cool. Thanks for sharing.

its not something you can fix in the game really, its just electric motors/batteries not being better in my opinion
Spud. Jul 13, 2020 @ 10:40am
but it does deplete, at 30% i was only going 100

The SPECTRE platform consists of a compact electric skateboard developed by carn1vore, and brand new advanced control systems designed by mistercynical. The skateboard is adaptable to many different vehicle configurations, while the control system, developed specifically for electric cars, allows for total control over the batteries and vehicle performance. Combined, these systems allow for electric vehicles with range and driving characteristics on par with any diesel vehicle, blistering acceleration tailored to just within the limits of grip, along with stable performance and top speeds which will not degrade as the batteries are depleted. Our goal was to build a car which other than being silent, would be indistinguishable from a diesel powered vehicle. At least until you put it into sport mode...

i still think that diesels are better in game due to power/weight and consistant power

I was skeptical about how this car performed. So i strapped this car and one of my own diesel cars to the back of this car and did a tug of war. Your car beat mine when it was in sport mode. I'm really impressed with this car. Electric cars can be frustrating. You did a really good job with this.

Btw, I'm sure someone's mentioned this before but status cars handle like they're on rails. Great job! How did you do it?
carn1vore  [author] Mar 27, 2020 @ 5:51pm
yep, mistercynical's got some bitchin' microcontrollers
AgentShot Mar 27, 2020 @ 12:17pm

Amazing

I have to say that I love this car's simplicity and functionality. Any dummy could use this thing, yet any pro driver can make it perform like a race car. Torque is good, range is great. The silence... eerie, in only the best ways.
Nice job!
DEADXORN Mar 22, 2020 @ 3:29pm
could you make a car like this but like viper shape and in day looks normal but at night looks tribal lighting covering it?
CaptainFallaway Mar 22, 2020 @ 9:23am
Totally love it :)

Thanks brother! I know cynical loves his manual transmissions, so I'm sure that's a possibility.

Another great car, carn1vore (and Mr. Cynical)! It is bizarre to cruise along so well in so much silence. You can really tell the effort, and most importantly, the thought that goes into designing and making these vehicles. It is never only looks or only functionality, but the whole package. Not only I enjoy them, but I learn a lot from analyzing them on the editor as well, so thanks for that!

If you guys don't mind a request for future cars (which wouldn't apply to the new electric models), would it be possible to have an optionally manual transmission for gearheads like me? (Preferentially on the Up/Down axis which seems to be the Stormworks standard for that.) The automatics are wonderfully practical, don't get me wrong, but sometimes you just need a manual! I have converted some previous models to manuals for personal use, but I think others might also appreciate the option. If you guys aren't interested, of course that is totally fine! Cheers!

Tanks for making great cars!
Especially Island Express, which I used a lot, had excellent handling. I'm sure these new ones too, I'll test them soon.

This car is amazing! fast acceleration? check. good top speed? check. agility? check. Not only that but its an electric with great range and looks! Id say this is the Tesla of stormworks.
