Report a translation problem
Instead of erroring out when it can't place a dragon on the edge of the map, it simply... tries again every few ms... forever.
TPS drops quite significantly until you defog the map to an edge, then it picks back up. You can test this using dev mode to defog the map when things are super low TPS, a dragon spawn vent will immediately occur and the game will go back to normal speed.
Might be worth instituting a check on the Wandering dragon event; if it can't spawn after ~10 attempts, it gives up for 24 hours in game time or something.
Is it intended to need 20 gold? That's kinda a lot for the smallest ritual
dead dragon & nest event at the south pole/tundra during winter (-50 C) spawned the white dragon and egg, but the egg was ruined by temperature immediately.
suggestion options:
a) give eggs a tolerance for temperature.
- additionally: give different types of eggs different tolerances
b) have the spawned dragon nests prevent eggs from freezing
- additionally: prevent eggs from being ruined by environmental circumstance such as fire (at least until the nest burns up)
- lore/practical-wise, maybe naturally spawned nests "made by dragons" in the wild could be a different structure that keeps the contents temperature controlled (like real-life crocodiles with their mound nests)
c) warning pop-up on map selection for spawning into a map that will immediately ruin the eggs (like the warning pop-up that happens when spawning too near to another settlement)
Also discord link doesn't work.
The plan is to be able to fly on the map later on. Otters health is getting better so things will get done in the future.
Someone else is planning a surprise for everyone tho. One hint: Visual only.
Is there a 1.5 version of the void dwellers mod?
